Absolute disgusting behavior. I'm a brown guy. While calmly waiting in the queue I was approached by a tall slim middle Eastern looking guy who seemed to be a staff . He disrespectfully asked me to exit the queue. He says " I told you 2 minutes ago to leave ". After clarifying it was my first time there for the day, he said it was management decision to not have me there due to facial recognition detecting me as a banned person. I was the only non white guy in the long queue. All my previous visits was non issue.

I am utterly disgusted by the blatant racism my friend and I experienced at Woolshed Night Club last Saturday evening. As brown-skinned people, we were targeted and refused entry by a slim, tall security guard who seemed to be looking for any excuse to turn us away. He had been observing us multiple times, walking back and forth as we stood in line, clearly searching for a reason to deny us. Eventually, he approached us and claimed it was a "management decision" and that he couldn't do anything about it. To justify this he brought out lame excuses and even brought up the fact that we might drink too much, despite me not consuming alcohol at all. All we wanted to do was dance and enjoy ourselves.

What makes this even more desperate is that right after we were turned away, a group of white people behind us was allowed to continue into the club without any issues.
Others in the queue were looking at us like we'd done something wrong. Is this the way how you treat people Woolshed?

If Woolshed wants to cater exclusively to white people, maybe they should make it clear on the outside of their establishment. As we left, I saw this same thing happening to three other people with skin tones similar to ours. It's undeniable - this was pure racism.

Whoever is responsible for this disgusting behavior, whether it's the management or the security staff, should be deeply ashamed. It's appalling that in 2024, such a backward, poor, and illiterate mindset still exists. Woolshed, you need to do better.

Most racist club on the street. We have been waiting hoirs on the que and the security guy asked us to remove fron the que for noe reason. It s purely due to color of the skin which made me surprised. If you ve got dark skin dont waste your time on the que coz they would not allow you in.

I am writing to report an incident of discriminatory treatment I experienced today at [woolshed Adelaide ]. I have been living in Adelaide for the past year, and this was my first time visiting your establishment. Unfortunately, I was met with rudeness and racism from your staff.

While in line , I was singled out by a security personnel named Ali, who asked me to step out of the line without any clear reason. When I inquired, the supervisor, [don't know his name ], was rude and dismissive. Additionally, there was another staff member named Jack who completely ignored us.

This experience was deeply upsetting and made me feel unwelcome. I expect better from a company that prides itself on customer service and inclusivity. I would advise all Indians to avoid this club due to the discriminatory behavior I experienced.

I hope you will address this matter seriously and take appropriate actions to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

If I could rate a no star I would. The barmaid on the 1rst floor (the blond lady) saying we have "to get out of the way" after we bought our 5th drink (which is x2 since we're 2) in that club when we weren't even on the
way (there was literally no people waiting)
So rude, she served us an orange juice when we asked and paid for a $10 rhum and orange juice.
Unfair, taking advantage of drunk people.
Don't go there, you'll spend your all salary in non-alcoholic drinks.

Security was like 'what's your favourite colour 1-2' I said ' what kinda question is that?' Denied entry. Like how was I supposed to answer that? I guess they were racist or judge based on your looks but oh well

My partner and I recently visited the Woolshed and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We waited patiently in line for a considerable amount of time, only to be abruptly asked to leave without any valid reason provided.What made this situation even more concerning was that we noticed a similar incident occurring with a group of boys ahead of us in line who happened to be of South Asian descent, just like us. It was disheartening to witness such discriminatory behavior based on appearance. Racism is unacceptable and disgusting 🤮
The lack of communication and professionalism displayed by the staff was unacceptable. As paying customers, we expect to be treated with respect and fairness, regardless of our background or appearance.
Overall, our visit left us feeling unwelcome and undervalued. We hope that management takes steps to address these issues and ensure that all patrons are treated fairly and equally in the future!

Multiple entry points are messy when paying for more than 1 if security pushes majority of the group to a different entry. No entry refund via card is super annoying and outdated
Being over charged for drinks I confirmed were $5 with vouchers and still paid full price.

If you want to be pushed in front of a car for literally no reason but for standing there at the front then go ahead. Completely agreed with their policies but this this ethnic dude kept pushing me when the others said it was okay

Bit of a dive. Fights every where. The glasses were disgusting. Music was OK since they had several DJ'S through the venue. $22 cover charge though.

Curis is the best bartender I made sure of my drink and even checked to triple check. I would trust this man with my life.

A few bars with a variety of music, popular, nice balcony, bull rides and has a good reputation. I have been here a few times and recommend it. Nice addition of the arcade games and fixed the leaky roof. Will be visiting again

if i could give woodshed zero stars i definitely would, was in here for about 5 minutes and almost died. the place smells like an indoor swimming pool, you can't see 2cms in front of you and the building is a massive fire hazard, especially the stairs that i almost broke my ankles on. not worth the fabulous spiked drinks.

It's just a little bit ratchet but not going to lie can be a good time. Toilets are yuck, certain staff were a bit rude and music is replayed over and over.

After all these years (I've been going here since before it was called the Woolshed), I still love the venue. Despite all the changes over the years, it's still one of my favourite hangouts. Try the mechanical bull!

Best club in Adelaide! Actually good music and drink prices are fair in comparison to other clubs.

Never written a review about a place. But this place is truely appalling. Being from brissy I went to go into this place to have a couple drinks and listen to some music while on holiday. However the bouncers out the front said I couldn't go in because I had flip flops on. However I was wearing Birkenstocks. There was three girls in front of me wearing barely any clothes and high heals/flats who were let in, but because I was covered up wearing a long sleeve, long dress and a vest being 10 degrees. I was not sexualised enough so was refused entry. Telling me I didn't meet dress code but couldn't give me the dress code, and online it says casual. Actually really sad that in todays world this is what is going on.

My friend rolled his ankle here this night. Even after getting management's attention they we're "unable" to provide a bandaid to stabilize his state. I'm very disappointed in their response to help my friend. I don't think the got an appropriate response to first aid which is very worry some for a night club. This is negilace of care.

The ground dance floor connected to a bar reeked badly that I wasn't able to stand around holding my breath in. Had to stay up on the balcony although it was freezing just for fresh air. Probably wouldn't return as it isn't my go to bar.

Racially profiled and accused of doing something I did not do. There are cctv cameras and I can prove the management wrong. Sad very sad. I was enjoying up and until that happened.

The woolshed has become like every other club on hindley with all areas playing the exact same music. It's been a while since I've hit the town but its absolutely devastating that such a huge venue is not using its spaces better. It was always such a good place with an awesome variety of people.

I have worked in the wool sheds for the past 6 years came here and they told me can't come in because my hair cut a bit of a joke as the security guards clearly where not legal as they pushed me because questioning why???? As working in the wool shed the mullet is the number 1 hair cut think they should change there name as they are clearly wrong!!!!!!

Lovely porterhouse counter lunch & so reasonably priced. Cooks first day as they can't get staff & he did an awsome job. Lovely staff in bar. Young girl behind bar was great. Great music. Ladies toilet downstairs was disgusting though, mould everywhere & not nice. Need to do something as poor. Cleaners need to be sacked.Security staff were lovely too.

Loved the music, bar and mind blowing chilled Heineken was the best for dance floor.

Best steak ever. Cooked as i liked it, tender and a great serving with chips and salad. Where else can you have a steak with either a pint of beer, wine or soft drink for $25.

Typical dingy "club", out back in the "beer garden" (smokers refuge) is the best place in the establishment. Our experience was further ruined by... over eager security 'professionals' who where threatening patrons including ourselves with fines on the balcony for holding drinks by the edge... (non of us had drinks at the time). We promptly left for more welcoming pastures.

My friends and I were looking for something spicy but it was not on the menu. I asked to staffs if I can get some spicy sauce. They pleasantly answered that they can ask to chef for making one. And we got the best sauce and meal :)
