I have dined at The Griffin's multiple times for team lunches, and I have always walked away feeling underwhelmed with their food. Recently, I have found their prices to be on the higher side compared to other pubs and taste just mediocre. A large group of us had lunch there recently. A colleague ordered Crispy Skinned Barramundi with shellfish in a saffron nduja broth, cannellini bean and fennel. While the fish was cooked well, it could have used some bread or carbs to mop up the sauce/broth, making it more filling, especially considering the cost. I ordered the Taco Bowl, which tasted alright. Another colleague ordered the Chargrilled SA King Prawns with papaya, tamarind, chilli, grilled pineapple, and crispy fish. As soon as the dish arrived, it had a strong, unpleasant smell. The prawns were really off-putting. We have eaten a lot of prawns elsewhere and knew something was not right. She even tried to eat it but couldn't without feeling nauseous. She raised the issue with the staff, who informed her that they receive fresh produce daily and it shouldn't smell. They did offer her another dish, which was good of them.

Dropped in after visiting Holey Moley for a quick meal. Reasonably priced pub fare cooked exceptionally well and nice sized portion. Very prompt service. Highly recommend

Great old pub im awesome location just up from Rundle Mall. Delicious food with generous portion sizes. My friends and I went on the 2 for 1 schnitzel night. I had the beef schnitzel which had a decent sized cut of steak inside. Best part of the night was the fantastic customer service we received. The 2 ladies working in the restaurant were an absolute delight and were always smiling.

Had a fantastic lunch here today with the best Wagyu beef burger & fries. Hubby was happy with his squid, fries & salad. Great service plus we really enjoyed the music that was being played through the speakers too.

Went in there and asked for the toilet and the response was "we are not a public toilet, go across the road". The pub had 0 people in it. Also I was definitely going to buy a drink however most pubs, if you politely ask they never say no. No wonder this place gets a number of bad reviews now.
Went to Cranker, used the toilets , then ordered a drink.

Wagyu beef burger - moist smashed paddy, great sauce to bun ratio. Bun toasted to perfection, great mix of textures. Chips fried expertly with a subtle, non-overpowering seasoning.

Drink default pour is fun-sized (imperial pint +)

Nice and shaded, staff you felt you could be mates with.

I stopped here because it was on my way from my hotel to the Robbie William's post-V8 concert, I liked the name and I wanted a beer and a pee. Guys, you are throwing an honest amount of effort into food (I didn't order any but I saw it coming out and it looked flush and plush), the staff were fully fitted out in their outfits, and the place itself is well appointed. But, my god, the toilets. Ya gotta check the state of the toilets. Hoboy! Also, $15 pints is appalling. Its an economy thing but it.. (to quote Peter Griffin) grinds my gears.

It is reasonably priced and ideal for a mid-week bite. Judging by the delayed service, staffing seemed a bit thin. If you don't mind waiting to be served and not in a hurry for a beer, then it'll do fine.

While visiting we found The Giffins Hotel which it's next to our our hotel, I was able to eat a variety of Gluten free meals without getting upset or frustrated. The Griffin's it's the place to eat if you are coeliac, they have an amazing chef whom is able to transform any meal into a gf meal. Thank you so much!!!

We had a birthday dinner there for 8 people, all 8 had a great meal. From the entries to the mains service was 5 star. The food better than 5 star. This is by far the best good food for value in CBD.
I'm thinking this would be a great place to use their upstairs venue for a larger function,

This is a great local hotel if you are looking for small or large gatherings for after work drinks and food. The alcohol and food variety are great, the customer service is really good and they do have a great indoor or an outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy your day or night. The place is kept pretty modern and very clean. Definitely recommend you check this place out.

First timer and suitably impressed with the bike parking. No stress, jamos and ice sitting at the servery window in front barknowing my trusty Steed is ok. Meal venue tonight I think.

Great food (go on steak night) and beer selection. Extremely relaxed vibe especially on the large outdoor area. Super helpful and friendly staff makes this a "yep, go here" in my book.

Meal sizes were huge, tasty and good value for money. Burger was so big I had to eat with a knife and fork 😅 beef patty was kind of cheap tasing, like one from a fish & chip shop but for the price of the meal and the quantity I can overlook it. Garlic bread was 10/10 delicious and I loved how generous they were with the sauces.

Ordered the chicken schnitzel with pepper gravy. The price was reasonable as was the value of the meal. However, the schnitzel coating was really hard (like beyond just being "crunchy") and ended up with some mouth injuries. I will also note that the pepper gravy was very hot (spicy). Drink selection is good.

Wonderful food with staff happy to go above and beyond to keep the customers happy. This is what is left of Lamb Shanks and an Atlantic Salmon. Nomnomnom!

Not sure what happened when we went there but I ordered a risotto which was just wet and mushy, and my wife had salt & pepper squid which had inedible, crunchy obvious freezer burn and was more than likely just rewarmed. She ended up leaving half of it on the side of the plate. Garlic bread came out partly burnt and they forgot the aioli on the side of her meal and I had to ask for it. Friendly staff though.

Great place for a function, all seamlessly organised and delivered professionally & efficiently. A range of spaces to choose from and the service on the day was fabulous. We will be back.

Excellent staff member behind the bar! Didn't catch her name but she arrived from NZ about a year ago.
Can't praise her more for the way she treated us!

Nice place with lots of dining areas (options). Great for big teams to catch up. Decent portions of food served.

Very accommodating of dietary needs- prior to going I had a look and the one or 2 options I had were okay but I thought I'd ask before the night anyway about possibly customising another meal.nThey were more than happy to accomodate and it was a great feeling to go into a place to eat knowing id be fine and not have to stress about a couple of change requests.nThe drinks were good, the food was great, the servings decent and the staff friendly.nTheir dining layout was great- nothing I hate more than being cramped at a table or cramped near strangers tables but The Griffins had a lovely layout that catered for people to be able to move their arms a bit comfortably.

We celebrated our daughters 21st there this weekend. We had an amazing time, the staff were brilliant the food was great and the balcony room was ideal! nThanks Aysha and Nathan for a great night.

I rarely give a five star review but the staff at the Griffins Hotel earn every one of them. I'm not sure whom is recruiting their staff or how this hotel is even doing it but they're captured lightning in a bottle. Every hotel in Adelaide should aspire to have staff this friendly, helpful and just down right good at their job.
