My wife and I visited for dinner on Wednesday 8th May. The food was super delicious and it was a good experience to use the stone grill to cook the steak to my liking. Staff were friendly and food came out quickly. Will visit again when we are next in Adelaide.

It was fully booked and packed! That was a Monday so I would say making a reservation is essential no matter what day of the week.

We ordered the chicken breast and the halloumi burger and we weren't disappointed. I would order the same thing next time but I'm very excited to try something new. Good menu, lots of great choices and reasonably priced. Will be back.

One of my favourite places to meet up with friends before or after an AFL game. Easy to get to from Adelaide Oval.
Very relaxed atmosphere & friendly staff. Delicious meals. In particular the hot stone steaks. Great drink deals also.

My partner and I went for dinner on New Years Eve on the Verandah (before the cricket) and it was incredible. The food was spectacular, the chocolate tart with peanut butter ice cream was a standout, a wonderful atmosphere and brilliant service by our waiter James. What a hospitality superstar he is. It was busy (as expected) but food came out timely and the staff had everything under control. A wonderful dinner out. Highly recommend.

The busiest restaurant in Adelaide. Went there for dinner around 6pm on Friday. When we went there it was almost full. I think every evening it becomes crowded. Drinks and food are really good and prices are also reasonable. After placing an order, it will take a long time to get on the table. Approximately 30 minutes wait time. The staff is friendly and they do their best. The restaurant atmosphere is quite nice.

Top notch staff and food. All the way from bar man to waitress, all very polite and patient. Havent had a stonegrill in a while and the waitress patiently explained to me how it works. Highly recommended

Service from the waitress was amazing, she was really nice and made us feel welcome.

However the steak was horrible, and for $50 wow. We asked for medium and it came out rare. They took it back and re did it and it came out like this (see attached photo)

I booked a birthday dinner for myself and my partner on Wednesday 24th May 2023. We sat by the windows on the verandah where we could have an entire view of street and resturant. I was surprised by the service from start to finish. The attention to detail was exceptional. The food was succulant and good proportions. We would highly recommend and we will be returning again.

Amazing food and great value. Every dish was hot and delicious. Service was excellent. Wine list exceeded expectations. Definitely recommend.

We went here for a cheeky after work dinner and drinks on a Tuesday. Nice food and good atmosphere, and open late during the week. Also, excellent happy hour 4-6pm ($12 Aperol Spritz and Espresso Martini, and cheap beers as well).
One particular member of the bar staff was clearly annoyed when we ordered cocktails though, which was a little disappointing.

Really wanted to try the King Brown Mushroom Pasta on a Saturday during lunch. Unfortunately the entire restaurant was closed due to a function. The entire restaurant! Weekend at lunchtime!

Giving this place 3 stars because at least the people at the function seemed to be enjoying themselves.

The fries that was served is very salty so I ended returning it. Calamari is processed from scratch and not bought frozen, it was moist. Steak is alright but the mushroom ragu sauce tasted very light. Roast pork has very dry meat and salty skin but the kimchi sauce is delectable. Pork schnitzel has burnt egdes and tasted normal. Nice concept on the roasted garlic with the sourdough. Waitstaff Olivia is very accommodating and affable.

I came to Adelade thinking i was going to try all sorts of cullenary delights and the various restraunts it has. However after walking past this place for a quick lunch and pint, all my dinners for the next three days and the duratiom of my trip where here. Amazing food, great sizes, very helpful staff who made this dining experence great. Compliments to the chef for the great food and one of the beat steaks ive ever had.

My trip to Adelaide was absolutely sensational. It was made extra special by my trip to this 8th wonder of the world located in the heart of Adelaide. With fabulous specials and 50 different varieties of beers you can't miss this place.

As per an amazing recommendation from Jake I ordered a rump steak on a stone grill. A one of a kind experience and the only stone grill left in Adelaide. Very delicious and a unique experience and is a must do for everyone.

The shaken espresso martini that was made for me was so good. So good I just had to get a second.

The customer service from Jake was second to none. Putting up with all my questions and unique requests. He made the experience so much better for me.

Can't finish this without giving a shout out to Ruby. Greeted with a smile and a bouncy personality I was highly impressed with her management skills. A powerful member of the team showing that a job can also be made fun while remaining professional. A+

Hats of to the team of staff I unfortunately didn't get to meet whichI hope to meet in the future.

If I could give you guys more than 5 stars I would. By far the best bar I have ever been to and I can guarantee I'll be back as a regular. Well worth the price of an airfare from Canberra.

Last dined at the Strathmore Hotel a few years ago and a friend suggested we revisit for dinner on Sunday of the June long weekend. So glad we did. Arrived and noticed the new interior renovations looked great. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We decided to order the Beef & Reef stone grill while our friend ordered the schnitzel. All our meals were sensational. The rump steak was lovely and tender - melted in your mouth. Can't wait to return and would happily recommend to family and friends.

Ordered two stone steaks, which was great for the two of us. The first steak arrived and the hostess had the pepper grinder with her which was lovely. Unfortunately when my steak arrived and I requested the pepper grinder as well because we all know that a steak with a salt and pepper crust is better.
Well Unfortunately after several attempts to attract her attention to obtain that all important pepper.
It never arrived!

Came here for a political function a couple weeks back. Staff was really friendly and nice, the food was awesome (those arancini balls were out of this world) and overall the place felt like it was really well thought out and looked fantastic. Definitely a place I'd recommend, absolutely can't go wrong.

Came for dinner because the other restaurants we wanted to go to, were booked or not open till the next week. Extremely surprised and delighted by our chosen meals, they were delicious and presented beautifully. Service was excellent and cocktails well priced. Our experience was so good we came back for lunch the following day. Would gladly eat here whenever back in Adelaide.

It was an interesting experience cooking on the stone grill. Chips were crunchy. Steak was a little bit chewy even if rare or fully cooked but was fine. Kids enjoyed it. Salad might need a bit more dressing. Decent sized serving.

Great service from the staff. The steak menue option ,as you cook it to your own liking at your table is a favourite of mine. Always busy meeting spot over the road from the Adelaide railway station.

A group of 10 went for dinner at Strathmore, after hearing good reviews. A friend ordered a $45 steak which was full of fat. After complaining about the steak, which was inedible, the waitress came back, from the chef, with the same steak saying 'That's the way they are' and was given the steak back instead of a replacement! Good on you chef! Left us all in bewilderment!
The rest of the meals were pretty good.

What a great Engagement party the Strathmore helped us put on last Friday. Thanks to the team there! All staff were really accommodating and so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend this as a function centre and my nephew is now having his 21st there. A great setup and looks amazing since the renovation. Cheers to the Strath!

Met up with some friends for tea. We all enjoyed our meals. Good sized servings. Happy Hour drinks were a good choice. Aperol Spritz and Espresso Martinis both favourites of mine.

My partner and I have been here twice, in the short space of time that we've been in Adelaide holidaying, we loved the real live tree in the middle of the (Beer garden/ Smokers section) and I want the pizza oven, that is in their Kitchen.
They mix a really nice Bourbon and Coke at the Bar here

I held my son's 1st Birthday and Christening at the Strathmore Hotel and was so impressed with the service and food on the balcony bar and restaurant. It was the perfect day thanks to the staff especially Lisa and Tamara. The squid and steak were the standout dishes along with the fantastic service. I am so thankful to the Strathmore Hotel for making the day amazing and highly recommend them to anyone thinking of holding an event here. 10 stars!

We had the scotch fillet which came out well done (asked for medium rare) and gnocchi. Gnocchi was flavourless and bland. Staff were friendly and good atmosphere. Would try again as I believe in 2nd chances but wouldnt order the same meals

The worst meal I have had in the last 10 years. We ordered the stone grill steak thinking this would be a seasoned and cooked steak as coming out, but were not told that we would have to cook the steak ourselves on a barely warm piece of stone. After trying to cook the steak for almost 10 minutes, the inside was still blue but the outside was ropey and dry. Stale chips and onion rings which were just pieces of uncooked union stacked on the steak. Management couldnt care less and I hope the cook doesnt call himself a chef because anybody who allows a steak to be treated like that is a joke.

Still one of my favourite eating spots, their Stone Grill steak, 250 or 400gm are first choice. Convenient location with tram out front, opp railway station and casino across road. Great place before or after footy at Adelaide Oval.

Upstairs area has been tastefully renovated. Staff very efficient and chatty. Obviously the staff has been carefully selected, experienced and well trained. An enjoyable time. Will definitely go back. Geoff
