We got pooped on by the birds !

Food was ok, went for a parmi my coleague took the gnocchi !

Waited for 45 min for the food but I recommend the place and will come again

Please don't miss this experience if staying in cbd of Adelaide. Take the stairs up to the veranda bar & dining area & you are greeted by the most welcoming staff, a special mention to our server *Christine* who guided expertly us through our 3 course lunch. She made our visit extra special with her care & attention to the finer details. The stone grill steak served to the table sizzling was a standout. The wine list is comprehensive & we chose SA regional wines to pair with our entree & mains, a red Shiraz & a white Pino Grigio both perfectly delicious. The atmosphere was fine dining at it best, linen napkins and the elevated views through the autumn leaves was perfect. We were celebrating double birthdays so for dessert we selected the pancotta & poached pear with a zingy sorbet. I would visit again just for the staff & the atmosphere but the food was also amazing. I would rate higher if there was an option!

I ordered the Coopers buttered fish and chips and I have to say it's one of the best I've tried in Australia. The batter on the fish was just perfect, not oily at all, and everything tasted really fresh. I 100% recommend this dish. I ordered the large, and it was actually too big. If you don't have a big appetite, the one with a single fish fillet would probably be enough, as the portions are quite generous.

The tap beer they have is excellent quality very bubbly, crisp, and fresh.

A very large hotel and a very busy one on the first night of gather round in Adelaide

They did a great job at getting meals out - we did have to wait about 45 mins for our food but considering the numbers at the pub I thought that very fair and reasonable

There were long lines to order food and even drinks at times were a bit of a wait but again considering the numbers they did a good job

Staff did come around and collect glasses but were not always that friendly which was a shame but again maybe the being so busy was getting to them

The footy was on and while it was super busy you could still hear each other and it was still an enjoyable night

The front was open so lots of airflow which was great and overall it was a successful night - I had the burrito bowl must say it didn't look great but it was really good !

My husband had the chicken which came out with lots of veg and looked the pick of the meals

Others had Parma (nothing special there) but no one was crazy enough to order the steak other than the guys at the next table who were not too happy - just so you know it comes out on a stone with chips and salad looks amazing but you need to cook it yourself....As the guys at the next table told us who wants to go out to dinner and cook their own steak - by the time it's ready your chips are cold and you have eaten the salad already cause you are sooooo hungry !

Good pub large pub but a great night had by us all and we were a larger group of 9 so they did very well

Every time I visit Adelaide, the Strathmore hotel is a must for either a succulent steak or one of their beautiful pizzas. This time around, I chose a loaded pizza, and it did not disappoint. The crust struck the perfect balance - thin at the base yet sturdy enough to hold the generous toppings. Each bite was packed with flavour, making it a truly satisfying choice.
