Play Pokies at Gilbert Street Hotel in Adelaide

We are currently over from the UK, staying with relatives. They took us to this amazing pub. It had delicious food, such good selection of dishes. The service was excellent 😀😀
We sat at a table out the front on the street, so we could watch the world go by, with a few beers & wine. The staff were attentive & they were so friendly. Luke, the owner was very nice. He made us feel very welcome. Give this pub a try & you won't be disappointed !!!

Dropped in for a quick evening meal and ordered the Char Grilled Broccoli - King Brown mushroom XO + sunflower seed 'risotto' +
peanut Gochujang sauce + puffed wild rice. I paired this with a McLaren Vale Shiraz. The wine was balanced and quite delightful. The food somewhat less so - enjoyed the sunflower seed 'risotto' puffed wild rice with the peanut sauce but the broccoli was a tad underdone . . However an interesting meal from a menu that featured choices that I will certainly try on my next visit. I also enjoyed the live Jazz on the night - a great atmosphere. The GSH is a place that could easily become one of your favourite establishments . .

Good beer selection, disappointing food.
We ordered the vegan burger and they forgot the lettuce on 3 of the burgers. Without it there were just pickles and 8 tomato pieces. So we had to go find someone to complain. Then they put lettuce on it and that was it. They also didn't give us cutlery.
Definitely not worth the money we paid.

One of the most difficult things to find in Adelaide and Australia is a cup of coffee after 3 pm. Don't was a miracle to find one st the pub attached to the Gilbert Street hotel in downtown Adelaide. Simply marvellous

Great atmosphere, welcoming staff, great food. We shared tapas and they were all really nice. Anchovy fingers, Korean meatballs, beef skewers, potato focaccia (really generous and tasty). Lots to choose from. Cool atmosphere and the music in the background was enjoyable. A very nice evening.
