Our meals were delicious, very happy to come here again

Live jazz combined with pub food made for an enjoyable dinner. Salt and pepper squid was lightly fried, fries had seasoning but disappointingly the side salad covered in mayonnaise. Would have been so much better undressed.

Great pub. Had the fish and chips and the cheesy garlic bread. The gooeyness of the cheese was incredible and i have never had fish so fresh. The sea was floating in my mouth. Definitely 10/10 for the food

Dropped in for a feed during a solo business trip. Lovely atmosphere, even some live music. Not intrusive if you sit in the dining area in the back. Friendly service and very attentive on a busy night. I ordered a beer and a wine (both for me) and the wonderful barman arranged for the wine to arrive with the meal. Most restaurants can't get that right. Steak was perfect. I'd give six stars if I could. Great pub menu with something for everyone.

Popped in for a lovely Guinness, unfortunately only stayed for the one as it was not quite up to par, poured from a standard tap (no push to top up) and head was much bigger than standard. Tasted thin too, not a full blooded Guinness taste.
Other than that, the place is warm and comfortable, love the wood fire aroma in the lounge. Didn't have a meal so I cannot comment on the food.

Fantastic place for our Reunion. Miraj was magnificent helping us with a space and dining room places. Met up 20+ people in town for the Gather Round. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Hotel and meals.

The Union has been around forever. I like it for a quick drink after work but find their food doesn't always hit the mark. The layout isn't great when navigating around on a busy night.
What makes this place is their location, friendly staff, and open fire on a cold evening.

Well located in central Adelaide, easy to get to. Multiple entrances at ground level. Modern design with a modern menu. Food was well priced and very good! For a late order meal it was well presented a good serving size and delicious. Meals around me also looked good. The downside was the large front room has live music (jazz style on a Tuesday night). But this room was very echoey and the music should have been lowered or reduced, everyone needed to practically shout to get past that music, echo and each other (there was a pre booked function).

Very well looked after by staff with our 1 year old son. The food was very tasty, and the dining room atmosphere was fabulous. I'll definitely head back for a feed in the future.

Great food and beers in the heart of the city.

I used to go to the union all the time because it's right next to my work, and also because the food was INCREDIBLE. I went there tonight for the first time in ages and it's completely lost its touch.
The chicken schnitzel was uncooked, it was pink in the middle. When I pointed it out the male waiter said rudely to us 'where though?' And I pointed directly at the pink middle of it and he said 'oh it's meant to be like that' ? Huh? Chicken isn't meant to be pink. And the chips used to be crunchy and golden and salty, these chips had NO flavour, were barely cooked and had no salt on them. My friend asked for new chips which they brought out but they were still pretty much the same. And the salad was just leaves with no dressing or anything else. I used to get salad there that had onion, tomato, horseradish and a tangy dressing as well. Whoever the chef is that took over from the previous chef should take some lessons. Like, plain lettuce leaf salad? Nothing else?
35 bucks for uncooked chicken, tasteless fries and leaves. It was a pathetic first pub meal to the year. Really disappointing and the service was terrible (just from the waiter guy, the bar ladies are nice). I won't be back which is a shame, I used to go there twice a week at least. RIP union on waymouth.

Came here on 28/9/22 for a work lunch of 5. The menu was varied enough that someone on a strict diet found something to eat. Food was really good with good size serves and nicely presented for pub meals. Reasonably priced. Everyone was served in a timely manner. Kitchen were good enough to advise of a change in an accompanying salad for a dish. Can recommend.

walked in. some solid tunes were playing. Chose to stay and get some good vibes flowing on an otherwise dull day. Ordered fish and salad. Seemed the oil used for frying tasted a little off. So it ruined the fish flavor. large area for grabbing a drink and siting or just chilling at the bar. also a nice atrium at the back which could be used for company events or large group dinners. small gambling room as an adjacent room. overall I would try it again, mainly for the music but I might even have a stab at another meal just to see if the oil was the issue. Mangia!

If you are looking for a pub where you hear your own voice, then the Union is for you. Right in the middle of Adelaide CBD. Very cozy place. Super clean. Staff are friendly and the chicken parmi was excellent. 😋

Great food. Good service. Huge range of craft tap beers and wines. Excellent pub atmosphere.

We came here for a work dinner and it was a fair walk from our hotel.

The Team were very professional and helpful. They accommodated our requests to changes in the menu and very helpful with the drinks selection.

The menu and the food we ordered (5 adults) was amazing! I was really impressed by the food and quantity.

Highly recommended and I look forward to going back next time I am in Adelaide.

Also if you like sports - they put the sport channel on for us.

We had a party of 6.
Everyone enjoyed the meal and atmosphere.
We will catch up again soon at the same place, same time.

We recently held a birthday party for our son in the Bar Cuba Room. At all times the function staff were brilliant to work with. Helpful and friendly - nothing was ever too much trouble. The room itself has a great ambience for a party. We didn't need to bring in any extra decorations and a great night was had by all of our guests. Moreover, the prices were incredibly reasonable and the packages very flexible. Highly recommended and thanks to Liberty to making it a great night.

Loved the ambiance of the hotel. Staff are very friendly and professional. You have to try there take on the pie floater, fantastic loved every mouthful. Would recommend it to try.

Saw the SA Pie Floater on the menu and said to myself that I'm not drunk enough for that. Then I read the description and pointed it out to others at the table. Glad I did. Bloody wonderful. Will be bringing my regular restaurant cohorts here in the near future.

Perfect steaks. We ordered 300g scotch fillet $40 & an 250g eye fillet $42. We asked for sweet potatoe fries instead of fries and they happily accommodated. The steaks were cooked to perfection! Jus was delicious, fries were perfect in texture (crispy exterior and mash potato like centre) even salad was well dressed. Def be back!

Been here for a work lunch and after work drinks and it's a really great pub. Portions are a little small (I got three sausage rolls as a starter and have had 5 of the same size for the same price in other places), but I think they're going for the gastro pub-style offering. Taste is great and I can highly recommend the onion rings, fried chicken starter, sausage rolls and burgers. Nice outside area at the back for drinks after work.

The union is a really nice pub. Their meals are on the larger size and they very good. I wish they had a steak under $30 but the do great chicken and porterhouse schnitzels for $25 so I can't really complain. Staff are always friendly and they have some nice beers on tap.

we had dinner in a very pleasant dining room attended by friendly staff from arrival to the time we left. Service was excellent being timely and courteous. Very tasty food, the Atlantic salmon being cooked and presented perfectly with crispy skin and a delicious citrus sauce on fresh green salad. The wife had chicken schnitzel with tasty crispy chips and salad after we had grilled haloumi with a tangy yoghurt sauce. Without doubt one of the best dining experiences I have had in a hotel for many of a meal. Well done to management and staff of the Union Hotel.Recommend food and service. Try and see for yourselves

Had the Atlantic Salmon, sauce was amazing and the salmon was crispy yet tender. Well recommended for a work lunch!

Very nice pub. Food is excellent and good selection of beer. However they need to enforce the physical distancing the of customers ordering drinks and food at the bar as it does not comply with a COVID safe plan. They need a Covid Marshall.

We had a really nice corner table to sit at with couches. Had a family lunch here celebrating my birthday and it was fairly quiet too which was great. Garlic bread and the vegetable spring rolls were really tasty. Beef schnitzel was fairly tough to cut and hard to chew. I loved the sauce that came with the Haloumi but I wasn't a fan of the way it was cooked-seemed like they'd been deep fried. Service was fairly fast.
