I'v been to Cavill Hotel few times and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the Venue manager Dexter with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The décor is charming, blending modern style with a cozy, inviting feel.
The drink selection is outstanding. They offer a wide variety of craft beers and unique cocktails. I tried a few cocktails that bartender Tyler recommended and it was perfectly balanced and refreshing. He clearly takes pride in his work and it shows in every drink served. Tyler was also very friendly and nice to chat with.
In addition to drinks, the food was also fantastic. The menu offers a good range of options. The chef Steve is talented and each meal I had was amazing!!
Overall, The Cavill Hotel is a fantastic local bar that excels in every aspect. Whether you're looking for a place to unwind with friends after work, celebrate your anniversary, or enjoy a night out with live music. Highly recommended 😊

Came for the Monday night mega Parma special on 22/04/2024! Food was piping hot and huge portion, service was great, staff were very friendly and food came quick. Also provided info on the deals they had on which was super helpful. The blonde lady serving was so nice!

Had an unreal night at Cavill Hotel last night. Danny was so kind and welcoming and made sure we were having a good time!! She made us amazing margarita!!

The Cavill Hotel was the best place to have a good time in the GC. Food was amazing and the cocktails were the best in town. Thanks to Danny for all the service and being so kind to our family.

We had a steak and a pizza today (Tuesday), which were both delicious.
Just be aware when ordering their specials you must go up to the bar to order!

We Ordered through the app and went up to the bar to order our drinks, we saw that the pizzas were actually $15 on Tuesdays but we realised that we paid full price on the app. We asked a staff member and the manager on duty if there was any way we could get the difference back, to honour the deal. But were told there is no way we could do that as the app payments are separate and that we should have come up to the bar to order to get the deal. We didn't think we had to check as usually when pubs have in house specials, they are reflected in their app ordering system.

Great spot for a family dinner. We had three kids and five adults - the food was way above expectations! We had pizzas and pastas which we highly recommend. Also happened to be there on a Monday night and they were running a 'kids eat free' special - the kids meals even came with a drink and ice cream. We'll definitely be back the next time we visit the Gold Coast. Thanks for a great last night of our family holiday!

Went here for dinner last night and got the daily special, $20 Chicken Parmy. When we arrived, I noticed there was only 2 workers in the place and it took a minute to talk to them, i explained we had a reservation (I put on the reservation that it was my partners birthday) and she just told us to sit anywhere. That's not a problem so we did, but the whole time we were there, no one came about the birthday, I was told he would get a free drink. No biggie, the food came out and it was delicious! 10/10 one of my favourite parmys ever, not sure I'd pay $26 for it on a regular day though.

I would definitely come here more often for their daily specials as they have some amazing ones and the food is spectacular, I'm thinking we just got a slow night so the girls didn't think to check our reservation details. Great place to have a drink, play some pool and enjoy some food.

This place is amazing. Love the vibes here. Our bartender Shubham was simply amazing with drinks and exceptional at entertaining us and telling us all about gaming. Reda was so cool and friendly and made it enjoyable. We enjoyed our time here and will be back.

My wife and I love it here, very convenient and close to beach and all eateries and has a gym 3 pools steam room and spa. The room is spacious and self sufficient. Beautiful

This place has definitely improved since the last time I was here three months ago. Service in general was great but a special shout out to Tia who looked after us at the bar with our drinks and even delivered our food to our table with a smile. Great food, great service and great atmosphere...what more could you want!

We had a gathering with friends since 4pm, once we arrived we were told cook would be open at 5pm. It was 5:10pm and then they told us we should wait another 10 minutes to order and no even mentioning how much more while the food is prepared/cooked. Some people left because they were one already one hour for food.... and while Latin party is great at Saturday nights the waiting time in the line is also one hour at least.

I came in for dinner and drinks with my partner. The manager Matt was very kind and professional. Shook my partners hand. Was treated with smiles from all staff. Bartenders drinks were amazing and the food was exceptional. The waitress/host Kate took the time to explain and help me when I order the wrong meal. The ribs and chips were superb! Will definitely be coming back! 😁

I went for a few drinks with friends and the vibes and staff were absolutely on point. In particular a hostess named Kate, she made sure me and my friends were taken care of and had an amazing night. Can't recommend the place enough.

Myself and my partner went to this venue for dinner/drinks and had the most incredible experience thanks to Yvana. She was incredibly friendly and checked in with us after receiving our food to make sure everything was to our liking. We both felt she really went out of her way to make the experience enjoyable. Will definitely be coming back for her service 5/5.

Not a bad place but I ordered the beef burger for the Wednesday night special. I have to rate the burger a 1 star at the most, it looked good but the bun was crusty like stale bread, also the meat patty was burnt, dry and tastless. I'm glad it was $15 and not the usual $24 they charge.

The athletic bartender Jesse whipped me up some absolutely amazing Turbo Turkeys!

We decided to try out The Cavill after hearing great things about the food. We weren't disappointed! The staff were lovely and the food was awesome. Highly recommend giving it a go. We will be back for sure!!

We took our staff here for dinner and drinks after doing an escape room. Awesome location, a great range of drinks and a great menu to choose from. Everyone loved there steaks and said they were cooked to perfection, the fish dishes were also very tasty. Meals are definitely very generous :)
Great range of cocktails too.
Staff very professional and very helpful, lots of sports TV's in an area this didn't effect our dining experience.

An Eels supporter, but we won't hold that against him.

The bartenders make the venue. To be honest, I didn't love the updates when it stopped being Melbas. But Vaughan and the crew there have brought it back to Old glory. Gotta love the local! Well played team.

I've been a melbas regular for years and wasn't sure the Cavill would live up to the name, but I have been pleasantly surprised. Vaughan is an absolute legend and is an asset to the place. Remembers peoples names so quickly and always gives the best service. Highly recommend!

We have been coming here for years and since the change over from melbas to Cavill hotel it was going to take a lot for it to be the same as the times we had there. We booked the cavil for my hens and they were amazing. They looked after us so well and were so great to deal with before the day during the booking process. it was such a great night and we will definitely be going again.

All the staff here are fantastic, from security to bar staff. We had someone in our party who had had a bit too much alcohol and it was nice to see security handle it well and not with aggression or violence, just a hey mate, you gotta drink water from on, then ordered him a water. Well done! Great music too.

Great place to grab a bite to eat and a drink. The renovations have transformed the former Melbas on the Park. Its still got that hotel vibe but with more of a gastro pub spin on the menu. Great new staff that are friendly and happy to help, although the young ones clearly lack some training.

The Lamb salad is AMAZING I would come back every week just for that. We had great service from Gemma very attentive and great with our daughter. Will definately be back

This place is by far the best place to visit on the Gold Coast, the service is second to none. Cocktails that will blow your mind and that service is amazing. A shout out to Nathan, Mark and Jackson best people to interact with. Can't recommend this place more.
