A mixed review as we had very mixed feelings about this hotel.
Great location - directly opposite the tram stop. Walking distance to the beach.
Breakfast buffet was great (not included).
The downside - service was so slow. A long long queue and a long wait to check in.
Lunch at the lobby / pool restaurant was painful. Took over 45 minutes for chips. The hotel seems very understaffed.
Rooms - room itself was great (apart from dreadful pillows) but the bathroom really did need updating. Leaking / mouldy shower, shower door wouldn't close.

Overall, not bad but better hotels around for the money. We would probably return for one night only due to the location. And wouldn't bother with the restaurant.

Wonderful hotel. Fantastic breakfast...carvery, grill, etc. great staff. David at reception was particularly engaging, sociable, easy-going, helpful...personable as well as professional. The young lady/colleague was also very friendly and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. The staff were truly wonderful- both professional and personable. The restaurant was great; food, staff and outlook. Also pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices.
The entire hotel was immaculately clean.
The only small downside was the bathroom, very outdated.

The room was beautiful, clean with amazing views. The staff were lovely, went out of their way to make a special day special. The pool was great and the location was perfect for transport, bars,shops and the beach. Loved this hotel

Room was spacious. View was great service was good too. Only regret was that the gym closed at 7pm. It'd be great if the hotel can open it until late. I think 9pm is reasonable. It's way nicer to jog outside but sometimes it's raining.
Breakfast was good, enough variety. I liked the pastries.

I didn't stay at the hotel. However, I stayed next door and had dinner and breakfast here.
The menu is limited, but the meals are generous and perfectly cooked. I'm very happy with that. The bar gets busy, but the boys are always friendly and welcoming. I would recommend eating here if you don't feel like travelling after a long day.

I just wanted to leave a review in here as I would like to mention about the staff members.

Despite being a little old fashioned - built in 1991 & renovated in 2009 - it's well maintained with great efforts from all of staff members.

As a person who is working in customer service industry, every person I have met & seen was extremely polite and kind to every single guests, everyone was smiling and happy. More importantly, they knew what they needed to do, no hassle or unnecessary movement for their duty. Even the staff who was shining the lift area, I was so impressed!

We booked here last minute over the weekend, after a not so favourable experience with another hotel. The girl at the front counter (Sophie) was incredibly welcoming and had amazing customer service. The room was clean, had an amazing view and was well equipped! We will definitely stay again when we are up from Sydney!

My friend and I booked a room here over the weekend. There was a long queue to check in but we were eventually served by Abby. Thank you Abby for the warm welcome and local recommendations. The room was nice and comfortable. During the stay we experienced a fire alarm and our whole floor had to evacuate. It went on for some time but another lovely staff member Erika reassured us and other guests of the situation (which ended up being a false alarm). Regardless, we still had a great stay. The beach was within walking distance and we also liked how the tram stops directly outside the hotel. Made things super convenient! Will definitely book again 🏝 🌞

So the location is good but not great, it is on the tram line which is nice, but you do need to use the tram to get anywhere. The rooms are getting a little tired, but are fine with a decent view (a light was broken in my room, and the plumbing was showing some minor issues, good hot water though) wifi was decent but took a while to support streaming. I have attached multiple gym pictures, and that was really in need of an update but I know that a lot of people don't really care about that. The staff were decent but did stuff up by charging my card, and then reversing it out when they realised that it had already been paid for. So no major issues but also don't assume that this is a top level hotel either.

I visited here to celebrate my birthday. When I told them about my birthday, a wonderful service was prepared in my room. Very great staff service. It was also nice to be able to see the sea from the room. Also, the breakfast in the morning was a buffet, and it had a lot of variety and was very delicious. It's right in front of the tram station, so transportation was convenient. I would also like to use it when visiting the Gold Coast.

As an over thinker I usually hesitate to stay at new Hotel's that aren't recommended by friends or family.

And this Hotel did not disappoint, they allowed us to have an early check in, they offered a complimentary room upgrade, (THE OCEAN VIEW WAS BREATHTAKING ) The location was great close to the beach '5min walk' & the view was perfect.

The Staff were absolutely lovely & helpful.
The kids enjoyed the open breakfast buffet,room service, pool & tennis court experiences .

There is a tram station just outside the hotel.

We had a nice stay a Crowne Plaxa Surfers Paradise. We had an issue with neighbouring guest noise & staff quickly responded to the issue & changed our room & upgraded us for the inconvenience, which we really appreciated.
All the staff were great, particularly Lisa who posted back our car keys when we released we'd left them at the hotel.
Hotel is in a great location and the pool/spa area was lovely & clean. We'd stay here again.

We visited from Brisbane for a mid week getaway with our family. The reception clerk was very welcoming and thorough during our check in. The rooms are well presented and stocked with the usual toiletries etc. The pool and spa were very inviting. Room service is available for a $5 surcharge or free for orders of $100 or more. It can be done online and was delivered quite quickly. The property is located within a few hundred metres of the beach front and has a number of cafes and restaurants also in walking distance. There are also 2 casual dining restaurants on site.

I came with a friend and we had an amazing stay. We were given a high floor which just had the most amazing view of the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable. We had two Queen beds, a really nice deep bath and a spacious shower. The beds were very comfortable with the most amazing pillows. The next day we were a little slow as we had a big week and so I asked reception if we could have an extended check out and she gave us an extra hour for free, which I really appreciated. It has a fantastic location as it's walking distance from the beach, and was perfect for our stopover on our road trip. The food was really nice as well, we had room service and it was reasonably priced and efficient. The service was top tier as well. I will definitely be back with more of my friends and family.

Nice spacious rooms and good service. The restaurants on site are reasonably priced however there is nothing else nearby so unless you're willing to travel the food options are limited. Room service was nice and arrived quickly and hot.
Bed was comfortable and the bath was a nice touch however no bubble bath or bath salts available (body wash is attached to the wall in the shower and by the sink). Shower pressure and temperature was inconsistent but good enough for a few days.
The hotel is near the beach and there are flags nearby if you're up for a swim.

Very good experience staying w/ them, the front desk was super friendly and always ready for going far to cater for your needs. It's up to international-standard.

Swimming pool is cold during winter, an on-demand warning system might help. As an engineer who actually cares about eco-friendly systems, I'll suggest a solar panel-battery pack for your pool-warming.

The buffet was good as well, I like the mushroom w/ spinach and smoked salmon. Coffee could have been better.

This holiday was for my sons 18th birthday, and the the hotel did not disappoint in helping me make this trip special. I had a wonderful experience from booking the trip, up until the end of our stay. Absolutely amazing service from Brooke, Tibby, Oliver and the staff at Relish restaurant! There was a birthday card and champagne waiting in his room on arrival, as well as the staff sending treats to his room. All the staff were happy to help in any way.

Great service and very delightful rooms, it's all very fancy. A great location as it's only a few blocks away from the beach and a tram station is right outside.
Only downside is the lack of stairs, even if it was just to the first floor.

Having stayed here for about 3 weeks. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

But a special mention needs to be given. I suffered a medical issue whilst staying. The staff were extremely kind, sat with me, and made every effort to make me feel comfortable. The team should be proud of themselves.

They called the ambulance on my behalf and made every step to ensure my safety. And seemed genuinely concerned. Following up with me the next day.

I would have recommended anyone to stay here regardless. But they have gone above and beyond in this incident.

Rooms are clean and fresh and are spacious. It's nice to not feel like you're in a shoebox. I really like having a room where you can have fresh air & not stuck in air conditioning. Balcony was a good size with ocean view. Complimentary bottles of water in the room is nice however a more eco friendly option would impress me more. Staff were lovely and helpful. Didn't use the facilities to be able to rate them. I would stay here again.

Amazing! I told Nicole at the front desk it was my birthday and she was incredible.... left a beautiful birthday card with greeting in my room with a bottle of red wine. She also gave me one of the newly refurbished rooms on level 14. Absolutely incredible. New and luxurious. I love the big spa bath type tub and the view was beautiful. She ended up giving us free parking as well, normally $18. I loved the pool area and jacuzzi. There is fresh fruit at reception for you to help yourselves to. In summary, it was the best birthday I've had in years! Thank you Nicole and team at Crown Plaza Surfers Plaza!

Stayed here for 4 nights. Had the best experience. The staff was very hospitable and accommodating. The buffet breakfast was all right, staff paid enough attention so didn't have to wait for anything. We did have an issue where our air conditioner was not working in the room, complained to the front desk, and the engineer came and solved it within an hour. The pool area was well maintained and clean.

The location is great as well and the tram station is right in front of the property.

Would definitely stay here when we visit next time.

Now I never ever complain. Ever. But the shower was horrible and the air con wouldn't work in the room. The shower was either ice cold or extremely hot, so hot that I couldn't even stand in the shower with water on the floor, it was burning my feet. So we had cold showers every day and it really set the tone of our moods for the days. Mentioned it to the desk and was told engineering will have a look but they never showed then we're told the District Manager will give us a call to see what they can do. Then the air con issue the air con was set to 18 but our friends room was beautiful, then came to ours and the room was so hot I barely could sleep. Again mentioned to the front desk and we were told it's working. Mentioned it again they said engineers will come have a look. Didn't show. Parking isn't included and it's a bit steep for $18 a night. For the price of the hotel in the condition it was, I would think parking would be a little better or the rooms a bit more better priced. I honestly wouldnt recommend. Only good thing about the place was The pool. Served great food and the bar was good value! And there was one lovely staff member at the desk but I never caught her name.

This hotel is out of the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise but close enough when you want to visit the high tourist areas. Very short walk to the beach. Super friendly and efficient staff and management. Great room with good hot water and pressure. Our room was recently renovated and had excellent facilities. The breakfast buffet was probably the best I've had anywhere in the world. Fantastic variety, well laid out with lots of choice, super fresh food and again, excellent service. A tired looking room with only minor upgrades evident, bath and shower were old and below average for the price of the room. Staff seemed more suited to dealing with business executives than real people on a weekend away. No minibar, not even fresh milk for coffee in the morning. Asked for a bucket of ice to be delivered to the room, half hour later, no delivery
phoned the desk and they just asked if we still wanted it. Told them don't bother. Happy to pay more and stay at the Marriott next time!

Having stayed here for the better part of a month for business travel, I feel like my opinion is extremely valid.

The staff here are nothing short of outstanding. Always helpful. Management should be incredibly proud.

Rooms are spacious, with a comfortable bed, and most importantly a hot shower with good water pressure.

In room dining was delicious.

Overall a wonderful place.

This place is amazing! Bathrooms well appointed, room is spacious, room service was prompt, polite and hot! Service here is brilliant. Accommodating, polite, courteous and knowledgeable. shocking experience! we paid extra for a nicer room + king size bed, upon arrival, we get our key tag, go to the room, to find out it was a downgrade, 2 double beds and a fairly disgusting room including a dirty shower from old grime.
long story short, we paid full price for our upgraded room, but had to stay in a downgraded room with no price change what so ever!
will NOT BE BACK!

I don't write reviews because I know the damage it can do but my god... Worst company I've ever interviewed with/ stayed as a guest. Was so unprofessional. Had to ring front desk to get someone to come out because of construction and waited 20 minutes but no one came. Ended up just walking into the lobby and was greeted by the rudest manager. Straight away I could see the staff turn around was huge through this. Had my interview after they were late.. I was so close to just leaving as no one came to interview me. They told me they would ring my references. No one was contacted , they then rang me a week later saying position was filled but seek, indeed and the HR is ringing me to apply because the job is still open. Save yourself time, don't stay and don't work here. Worst 30 mins of my life I can't get back.

One doesn't have a choice of quarantine venues, so I rate myself lucky to have been placed at the Crowne Plaza. I am 6 days in to my 14 day term. I have a large, comfortable room - plenty of space to exercise. I have a balcony with a view, fresh air, and glimpses of the ocean. The birds wake me in the morning with their cheerful chirping,and continue to do so for the remainder of the day. Since I changed to vegetarian status, I am happy with my meals. Contact with the staff has always been positive and warm. I love to sit outside and soak in the warm sun every morning. AND I have all the time in the world to write a review! Thanks Crowne Plaza for looking after the well-being of people who may be, or may not be, handling their quarantine situation.
Accomodation may not be a super modern as some may wish, but hey, there are many people out there that are not as lucky as ourselves!

Our Association organised our annual conference at this hotel, which we had originally booked in 2020, but was postponed by a year thanks to COVID, not a huge booking only 150 or so members attending.

The hotel has been operating as a quarantine hotel, contract due to expire in June 2021. The association was assured that the hotel was not going to extend the contract, so the conference was booked, as well as members booking rooms at the hotel, and flights, car rental etc.

We get to June 2021, and the conference booking gets cancelled, as surprise, surprise the hotel has extended their contract as a quarantine hotel.

Real dirt bag act playing both sides of the field, actively taking bookings and assuring people you weren't extending the Quarantine Hotel contract, all the while negotiating an extension to the quarantine hotel contract.

So now ours and a number of other conferences have had to be cancelled, as there is no other availability at other venues given the last minute cancellation by Crown.

Honestly I wouldn't have had an issue with this, had we been told there were actively negotiating, and we had still chosen to book in, which we would not have.

I am in my fourth day of quarantine and feel really cared for by the amazing staff that is is helpful and friendly. The food is really great and all my requirements seen to.

Not really sure if I should be rating the Crowne as I was there for mandatory quarantine, however to be fair I won't rate the food provided as it was poor. That room was adequate but in need if updating. Shower drain was slow and the TV was a dinosaur. So 4 stars 2as generous.

This hotel is Quarantine Jackpot. The service is really wonderful; the staffs and Queensland health are always checking in on us. The food is beyond decent and feel free to ask for anything you need, they will try to help and accommodate. The rooms are good sized and very clean. The balcony is a life-saver. Very blessed and lucky.

Best time quarantining here. Lovely staff. Excellent food. Spacious rooms with balcony and fast WiFi. I could have stayed longer. If only everyone got to stay here they would all have a much better time in quarantine. The chefs here are awesome. I intend to come back again when covid is over. Highly recommend this place.

Crowne Plaza has the best chefs!!! The food is great and fantastic ocean view from the room. Transportation is also quite convenient, 1 min walk to tram station and about 5 min walk to the beach.

Bar fridge is tiny and not very cold. No top sheet on the bed. Pillows were thin and flat. Didn't sleep well at all.

I didn't make it pass reception as the receptionist made me feel very unwelcome. I was told I couldn't pay with cash and made a joke about it while handing over my card and license but was told if you not happy I can cancel your booking. Wow. At 5pm on a Saturday night to hear that, I obviously didn't feel like staying. Lucky we only live in Brisbane so we just drove back home. I took my wife out shopping and thought we will stay over at the coast. Extremely disappointing.

Gave this Hotel another chance and picked a weekend which was far less windy and the manager actually explained they have tackled some of the draft and wind issues around the pool so the kids got to use the pool which was fantastic, though it has no shallow end for the little kids. It does make up for it with noodles and plenty of bean bags which requires adult supervision but is loads of fun!!nnWe booked a larger room and it was well worth the additional fee and being on the top floor was fun. Breakfast buffet was really good and wide variety and selection.nnStaff was just as friendly and personal as previous stays and being between Surfers Strip and Broadbeach has it's advantages for noise and parking - the tram is conveniently located right outside and is only two stops to the Casino (Broadbeach) and just as easy to get to for Surfers main strip.nnReally pleased with my stay and will stay here again when its time for the family to visit surfers.

Getting a bit old and dated these days. There are other more modern hotels in the area. Nice pool and friendly staff.
