Overall the only real good thing with this place is the service the staff provide. I can't say I really like or dislike it other than it's ok. Food was average at best on a 1-10 scoring for the chicken schnitzel I'd give a 4.5 mainly because I've had far worse. The mens toilets badly need some maintenance at the end of day I can honestly say that I would not travel out of my way to eat here again would I have a meal here again in the future to that I say maybe

Great little pub, hidden away on Melbourne Street. Anyone that is over for footy or cricket would be mad not to go here, has great food, happy hours and nightly meal specials.

I had the rump steak here and it did not disappoint. All our meals were enjoyable and I would recommend dining and drinking here. They have a lord Melbourne lager on tap that goes down a treat. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Good value for money.

The best chicken schnitzel I have ever tasted! Just beautifully cooked, with nice chips and fresh salad. The mushroom sauce is delicious!

Great pub with excellent service. The 25 dollar rump special on a Friday night was such value for money cooked to perfection. Kids loved it too.

Friday rump steak deal for $25 was awesome. Pub was a little older but is on a nice walking street for discovering North Adelaide. Steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and was a quality cut. Fries were crisp, thick pub fries. Didn't love the sauce (tasted a bit soapy; maybe it was the cilantro) but it was a damn good meal for the price.

We had a staff end of year celebratory dinner there. We reserved one of their function rooms, so we enjoyed the private vibes and the fact that we were able to play our own music. The staff were really friendly and service was pretty quick. Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. It was a good night!

Food was ok. Burgers were pretty standard, and chips on the side were minimal. Schnitzels were reasonable. Order for 7 came out at roughly the same time, so the order juggling skills were good.

The service at the Lord Melbourne was great, friendly and helpful they also do something very clever that 99% of other restaurants or cafes don't, they ask your name when they take your food order which makes bringing out food for a group of people so much easier.

Fantastic food and extremely friendly service - went there for lunch with our family today, 2 boys under 11, and we loved it. The Wagyu burger was amazing as was the steak and the mac and cheese bites - highly recommended!

The staff here are really friendly and the salt and pepper squid was delicious. A very generous portion too I felt. My only criticism would be the chairs in the dining area felt pretty flimsy and I could feel the screws coming through the seat base. It might have just been that chair as I didn't bother trying others. Other than that a really great place to grab a meal!

I went for the classic pub meal of a beef schnitzel it was served with crispy fries and a side of salad . I also chose the pepper sauce . The service was fast and friendly and there was a good range of beers on tap . It was a very enjoyable meal and would recommend it to anyone

A quaint bar, that is actually quite large when you get inside. Happy 2 hours everyday for $6. Good sports bar

We had a pleasant evening here on a quiet Sun night in November 2020. The food was first class and the service was outstanding: The entrees came out within about 10 minutes of ordering, and the main meals, about five minutes after we'd finished our entree. Can't get better than that.

We ordered mac and cheese croquettes, a chicken salad and a beef schnitzel. Tot cost was $55. The food was fresh and tasty and served in perfectly sized portions, not too large to make one feel overwhelmed, or too small that you leave feeling hungry. The croquettes were soft and creamy. My schnitzel was cooked to perfection with a generous serve of crunchy chips and nutritious Greek salad. My wife's chicken salad was also a decent serving with nice tender pieces of succulent chicken in a mixed salad with walnuts and shavings of parmesan cheese.

The only negative was the noise. Even though there was only a smattering of other diners, the racket from a few rowdy tables was deafening. The indoor back area has a billiard table in it, and on the night that we dined, about six or so loud patrons were playing, and drinking heavily, which made the atmosphere in that section unpleasant. We quickly moved away. But the acoustics were bad, no matter where we sat - and we tried three different areas, inc outdoors, it didn't matter.

And that was a pity because the venue itself is spacious, airy and comfortable, with plenty of room between tables, and options to sit either inside or outside. But unfortunately the wooden floors and a lack of sound absorbers just make it hellishly noisy.

Toilets are old and crummy but functional.

Full marks to the owners of this warm and homely pub for the outstanding food and service. The happy hour drink specials are also worth going for, but they need to do something about the noise!

Was great service with a smile they even made me a drink I haven't tried before and I loved it the lady would have just got me a coke if I didn't want it so it was great that I loved it honestly, the food was cooked beautifully and presented so well I felt bad not being able to eat it all before leaving but I knew I would come back when I saw the art in the dinning room was so perfect I will have to come back to buy a piece for myself very soon as its just my kind of art (splatter paint) as we sat outside in the back in the sun it was perfect and beautifully set up i can't wait to bring people with me next time and try more of the friendly chefs delisous foods.

I havent been back here for many many months, and since before the establishment was taken over by the current new management. Today I decided due to convenience and proximity to work that I would order the Chicken, Pear & Parmesan Salad, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. If im being honest i was expecting a boring dried out pieces of chicken with a little salad mix. What i got was a chicken pieces cooked perfectly (anything but dry), generous amount of the yummy salad mix.

Food was fantastic, worth the value and also perfect portion. Atmosphere was really nice and very spacious.
