Just had our daughter's 21st at the Queen's Head Hotel. Emily was very helpful getting us organized, and Nav and the bar staff were super friendly and helpful on the night. Our compliments to the chef. By the end of the night our friends were making plans for our next event.

Sat down at a table in beer garden. Had our order taken for food. Then was told the table was reserved leaving us with nowhere to eat our food.
Great location. Rubbish service!

No idea if it has rooms but it's a nice little pub. Beer selection implies it caters for people that are not connoisseurs thereof. Good pizzas. I'd not rush back unless there was some sort of beer option revolution.

Went to a private function in the rear rear rear garden and although there was a delay getting cutlery the food was good and there was plenty of atmosphere

We were late leaving a function and rang to see if they could fit 11 in for food. Rang at 8:25pm to be advised the kitchen closed at 8:30pm. They held it open for us! Incredible and the pizzas were the best. A great hotel.

The staff here are hopeless.
On more than one occasion when coming for food or drinks within the time limits of when they specify the pizza oven is open (was literally told 1 hour before arriving it would be open) they just decide to close when the chef wants to have his break. Rather than going around and saying 'does anyone need any food as the the pizza oven is closing early'

The same has occurred on more than one occasion when they state the bar is open from and closing, again just changing closing times to suit their staff wants and needs of saving coin.
The queens head has always been a failure.

New staff, new owners.

If they were at all intelligent they would set hours for service and food, stick to this and gain a regular customer base like the Wellington, Mile End or colonist as good examples.

Shame really as they seem to rely on the football and cricket seasons where they make big money to justify all their random decisions and not look after their regulars. Good luck

Enjoyed the food. Quite an atmosphere after a few drinks. If you're after a classic, casual hotel experience this North Adelaide hotel won't disappoint.

We had a BIG Good Friday and we're thankful the Queen's Head was open Saturday for a recovery lunch. Friendly service and generous portion sizes, we had a lazy, afternoon in the beer garden. Great venue!

Absolutely delicious (had the Gnocchi Ragu & it was sensational but wish there was a little more!) 10/10 for taste & 8/10 for serve size.

Fantastic little pub, trendy setting indoors with 2-3 areas + a nice little outdoor setting overviewing the awesome pizza oven.
Good sized menu, reasonably priced and the food was spot on??'?

The burger was so filling I couldn't finish it. The 2 beef paddies with several rashes of bacon, cheese and brioche bun was an amazing combination. You don't need too many chips either when you have a burger that big.

The female staff member from England was super friendly and provided great service. One of the older guys seemed a bit glum but another younger guy was also super friendly.

Pizza was fantastic, would recommend that. But the advertised cocktail I wanted was not available which was disappointing.

No happy hour, maybe they're a thing of the past these days?

For such a historic little piece of Adelaide pub history, todays lunch was a massive disappointment. The venue itself looks tired & in need of some renovation( upholstered seating cracked & falling apart for instance).
Not sure if we came on a bad day, but the food was average at best, a lot of it cold & not cooked as described on the menu. Roasted cauliflower was steamed with no sign of being in an oven & the serves were mean considering the restaurant prices you pay.
Also had to wait upwards of 40 minutes for coffees to be brought to the table.
You want to support the hospitality industry after it was decimated by Covid, but experiences like this make it a once & done proposition, tentative to give it another go lest you be disappointed again. Having said all of that, front of house staff were friendly ,& obviously dealing with a dysfunctional kitchen, not within their control. Sad......😞

Didn't work out for us. Never got to try the menu. Booted off our table to make room for a larger booking and stuck on stools next to the door where it was cold and noisy. Left and went to the Sussex.

Lunch on a Sunday. Food wasn't bad but nothing particularly special. Prices reasonable. Recall it being a bit better in years gone by but worth another go. Staff were friendly.

Worst gnocchi I've ever eaten. Soggy / waterlogged. Waitstaff were uninterested when we let them know how poor the dish was.

We had a meal here, we sat outside under the front veranda on a Sat afternoon, very relaxing,, it was lovely, the meal was fine, nothing to jump up and down about, not as much selection as i would have liked, but as it was a 'Match' menu i understand completely. Next time im ordering a pizza, apparently they are to die for

Amy, the general manager, and Oscar (behind the bar) we're both great! Excellent customer service. Food was super and beer was ice cold. Really super back garden area and front patio in addition to the nice interior. Can't recommend highly enough. Great people, great place, great food and drink!

Nice old pub this one, tucked away in a quiet corner of North Adelaide. Beer garden is good too (assuming no function is on).

Food is okay, but not terribly memorable. Probably worth another go.
