I was visiting Adelaide for work and needed breakfast catering for a meeting. Ordered Cali Catering online and was really impressed with the food, service (thank you Fiona for the coffee!) and that despite normally opening at 9am, they were happy to arrange a 7.30 pick up for me. So lovely and saved the day for this "out of Towner"!
Highly recommend.

Held my daughter's 18th birthday here in the beer garden! The staff were super helpful, especially the manager on the night (sorry I didn't catch his name) he was such a big help and made all the food service, bar service and cake service seamless! The space was warm (always a concern in June) and looked stunning glittered with fairy lights. The guests all enjoyed the food! Thank you for helping us create a wonderful night for our daughter ??'?

The Caledonian Hotel is quite a surprise.
Having not been there for a while, I remembered the 90s iteration of the pub.
These days there are a lot of interconnecting spaces for different endeavors.
Drink prices are really reasonable and the food was well up there with the best.
Bravo!

We had a group dinner here a couple of weeks ago; we had a private room, which was great for our group and probably also for those out in the public space.
The food was tasty; serves were massive, which was maybe not so good for a group of aging females! Several women took home doggy bags and quite a bit was returned to the kitchen, which was a pity, as everyone said their meals were good.

Had lunch. Got the seafood basket. Squid was cooked to perfection, only negative was with the batter on the fish. Would have been nice to know it was beer batter as i do not like the tast of beer and it over powed the fish. would have asked for something different.

Thank you for making our catch up with friends very special. Awesome service and your food is amazing as always. Loved your numbering system for our meals which made it easy for each couple to pay their own bill.

We attended a 70th Birthday Celebration in the outdoor area. It was a beautiful day, the roaming finger food was plentiful & tasty. There was a Bar with helpful attendants in the outdoor space.

The food here is absolutely delicious, especially the Pork Ribeye, and the service is impeccable. You've created a memorable dining experience! Also, the cocktails are nice.

Restaurant was full and stood at the entrance of the dining room as instructed by the sign waiting to be attended to by the only staff member on to serve the entire restaurant. ended up having to go up and get our own drinks to be told we will be with you and still no service , excuse was given short staffed but with bookings they must have know this in advance with bookings for the rest of the hotel
Food was poorly presented and not an adequate serving for the price

Food was very average chips Luke warm. Lobster rav was like frozen tv dinner. Really bad. The burger was ok but still chips warm and took almost an hour to get it. Waiter wasn't exactly rude but not friendly at all

Wonderful lunch with friends, great food, excellent service and advice given on the menu and drink's list.
It was busy but all staff were very attentive and professional.
Will return.

A must do in Adelaide is attend one of the Caledonian's wine / whiskey events. They always have a great selection of wines and or whiskey's matching always delicious foods. Congratulations must go to the proprietor and it's staff.. recommend getting on the email list and book your seats 🥃🍷🍽️

Had lunch on Saturday in a booth. It was such a relaxed atmosphere, the service was good, the wine list excellent. The fish was crispy as the menu stated, the chips were hot and the date pudding was baked to order, superb. I nearly forgot, being able to order entree sizes was a plus.

I visited with a group of people for dinner. The organiser told me that it was very straightforward to setup the event and get the custom menus prepared.

The food was great. I had the lamb toast as the main and it was superb.

They have a good wine selection as well.

We had an alright, mid-week feed at the Caledonian. Friendly service and charming venue. Wouldn't order the the lamb hummus again and the steak was severely over cooked but the parmi was a real winner.

Great selection of food... something for everyone and it was all really tasty. Service was so polite and professional, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

2022. I still love the food here and the atmosphere but... This year they've really dropped their serving sizes and they took 1h to get the dinner out. It's now fairly overpriced for the service, at that price you could probably go somewhere a little nicer. However my chicken Wellington was just as tasty as it has ever been so well done to the kitchen staff

The staff were lovely. They were a bit of fun, but efficient and quick.
We ordered, and didn't wait very long for the food to arrive, and there were quite a lot of people In the Dining Room.
The food when it came was worth it. Absolutely delicious.
I will definitely be back.

Excellent table service and tasty food.
The chicken Parm was great I added bacon as it didn't come with ham, the other dish was salt and pepper squid both were great.
The cokes we ordered came in a glass bottle with glasses and there was a candle lit at the booth we sat at. The atmosphere was friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Friendly staff greeted us gave us menus then took our orders. Meals were delicious and a great range to choose from. Would recommend

Shout out to the mad lad playing drum and bass during the Sunday lunch shift. Basslines were as thick as the delicious vegan schnitzel.

Mother in-law didn't appreciate the wavy bangers as much.

I had had a poor experience some years ago at this pub, and hadn't been back until Friday night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Orders were placed for dinner....and then we waited... and waited. I wouldn't say that the pub was flat out. I'm guessing it was about 25% capacity, but we waited well over an hour or more for the main meals to arrive after the entrees. Apparently, there was a large group before us..! We had to ask for the table service we had already been offered, as no-one seemed to know that we were there. My meal was standard pub food as pictured), but my friends ordered the Whiting ($40+?) Two fillets of "Whiting" arrived. We mistook them for Tommy Ruff! Thankfully, an embarrassed waitress understood the situation and after a while, another lot of Tommy Ruff sized fillets came out for those who ordered the Whiting. Once the food eventually arrived, the night got back on track...

Excellent food with a great wine list and selection of beers. This restaurant is supported by a very friendly and welcoming team, who all provide great customer service. Thank you Caledonian Hotel!

Oh so good, we opted for the smaller size servings for a lighter lunch. OMG my piece of steak was so, so tasty and melted in my mouth. Every thing we had was jast as good, service was top notch. Well done guys, worth the extra few dollars.

I wasted my Long Lunch voucher by choosing this hotel. No welcome on arrival, had to find my own way to table in dining room. Then had to ask for a menu. Then waited, waited, waited for some modicum of service which didn't eventuate, so had to walk up to counter to attract attention of disinterested staff member. Ordered an outrageously priced 100gram steak. Couldn't believe it when I was told it came with...wait for it....coleslaw! Ugh! And fries. No vegetables. I got the giggles when meal was plonked on table in front of me by stone-faced waitress. A piece of steak so small it was consumed in just 2 mouthfuls. One plus, what I actually tasted of the steak was cooked to perfection. But how hard is it to cook a steak to rare. Service was appalling. Couldn't get out of this place quickly enough. What a waste of my long lunch voucher, so many better restaurants where I could have used it. Can't think why I'd ever return.

hi, A friend and I went to dinner here last night without a booking. For some reason, we couldn't get a park anywhere else in North Adelaide and when we found a car park out the back here, we jumped at the chance at trying the restaurant. Even though we didn't have a booking, we were kindly ushered to a table. Kaitlyn, our waitress, was quick to bring us cool water, and deliver menus, for both wine and food. When we enquired what was popular, she recommended a few and was so friendly and easy to chat with. The food came quickly, and Kaitlyn's recommendations were on par - nice work. The food was tasty, fast, fresh and generously portioned. We talked for hours and at no point felt ushered to leave. Thanks so much, especially to Kaitlyn who was a delight. xx

Nice enough pub. The steaks are nice and there is good variety of meat cuts. Burger recommended as well. Chips and coleslaw nice too. Good whiskey variety.

1st ever visit to this venue. The staff are very friendly and professional. The rooms are quite spacious. We had a 10+ group and everyone enjoyed their meal. The desserts were excellent too. Overall a very pleasant experience.
