Can't say enough good things about the Kentish Hotel. Walked in, felt that welcoming vibe right away. Staff? Friendly and helpful from the get-go. Dining room? Timeless, modern, loved the gin bottle decor. Checked out the beer garden, looked amazing. Can't wait to grab a drink out there sometime. Meals? Tasty. Beef schnitzel, chicken schnitzel, couldn't find a fault.

I catch up with friends after the work week and mostly go through the red wine selection, which is excellent. I've had the arancini bites and cannot find any fault in the dish. Staff are quick and attentive. The vibe is quite lively, even during mid-week at times. A lovely pub with lots of seating - at the restaurant, at the front bar, at the backyard and also out on the area outside of the pub.

Visiting from NSW. Lovely old building. Friendly helpful staff. Quite busy for a Monday night which shows it's a good place. Beautiful decor. Awesome courtyard. Plenty of dining space inside, out the front and in the courtyard with heaters. We had a yummy snack of sharing starters washed down with scotch and beers.

A classic pub feel with some unique takes on standard pub food. Well cooked and delicious consistently. Great environment for a weekend lunch spot. Service is standard and works well. Good drinks selection on tap.
Even though food portions have decreased in size slightly over the last year it's still delicious and an enjoyable experience overall.

We make an annual pilgrimage to the Kentish every year when the Cricket is on and it never disappoints. Family owned and run, they have mastered good service, great food and the art of making people feel special. Menu has been constructed to cater for those who are up for a big meal and also those who just want a share plate while they have a few wines. Beautiful building with lots of history has been tastefully furnished to allow lots of seperate areas where you can have privacy and quiet conversation. Caters to big bookings well with the rear "Barn Like" area, and smaller groups in the restaurant. Already looking forward to our return next year. (Mia was outstanding, Ryan needs to pay her more).

What an awesome place for lunch!! Out on the beautiful tree lined deadend street, lots of shade, excellent service, great wine selection, fantastic food menu, my wife had the Atlantic Salmon she said was amazing, I had what could only be described as the best Mixed Grill I've ever had, and I go out a lot!! The mixed grill was on the specials menu, I hope it stays around because that's going to be my pick for every visit. I think this will be a regular Sunday outing from now on!!

Ordered a seafood mixed grill. The fish sticks - battered around the plastic wrapping on them. No manager to be seen. Staff lovely. Father's day lunch ruined by plastic. I could not continue my meal. Staff apologised and refunded just the meal???? This destroyed the rest of the meal. Where was the manager to explain the plastic wrapping???

My family and friends had dinner to celebrate our Granddaughters 21st last night. The service, food and ambience was faultless. A big thank you to the delightful young lady who looked after us so well during the evening. So very gracious in her manner and service. A shout out to the Chef and his team. Well done.

My wife and I have had dinner at the Kentish celebrating our past two wedding anniversaries. The food, service and atmosphere has been absolutely faultless.
Last night we celebrated our grand daughters 21st birthday with a group of family and friends. Once more, everything was outstanding. I have no hesitation in recommending the Kentish in all respects.

Great service from staff with smiles, dining room lovely & seating was spacious. Relaxed atmosphere, muted music good for conversation. We had 2 4 price of 1 schnitzels, which were a good size & crunchy with delicious chips (although we missed a salad dressing)

Very nice pub. Has a few off shoot room/areas, which makes it great for catching up with friends.

Meals were good and arrived reasonable quick.

Drink selection was good.

Trivia night was great with a very good atmosphere.

Overall would definitely go back when next in Adelaide.

Had a function there. Easy to deal with, awesome service, food and staff. The function area is a really good to have presentations, networking or even celebrations.

THE.BEST. butter chicken!
Shared a late Saturday night dinner (just before the kitchen closed at 9pm) with my husband and we both ordered the butter chicken. It was so so delicious. The roti is divine and the sauce is packed full of flavour. It was such a nice ambience out the front on a warm spring evening. Thank you - we will be back!

The Kentish Hotel is a lovely pub tucked away in North Adelaide. It has various dining sections all of which are really comfortable. The food is great. Quality pub food. Staff are lovely and even when it's busy they're smiling. The Kentish has a lovely vibe about it.

Wow, what a hidden gem ??'? of a hotel. Stunning dining and atmosphere coupled with brilliant customer service and smiling staff.

Visited for a birthday dinner last night so went back for lunch today.

The salmon is epic and recommended by the waitress was the beef vindaloo.

Today we had three taste plates being the pork and chive dumplings, the chicken stay and the Korean spicy chicken wings.

Lastly do not go past their in-house Kentish shiraz

Overall was excellent, staff were great, perfect breeze outside and surprisingly first ever time out at a restaurant with a blackout for a short time. Food was great and first restaurant non Asian that can make dumplings well. Keep up the good work.. :)

This place is fabulous. Despite living in Adelaide CBD and being surrounded by a plethora of pubs who all have the same unoriginal and deep fried menus, we ride out to The Kentish at North Adelaide because it's so good. The staff are easy going and flexible, the menus have healthy items and the food is delicious. The setting is just gorgeous and it makes me sad that the Adelaide City Council have ruined so much of the Adelaide streets and that we now feel it's better being at North Adelaide for a quiet, peaceful and tasty meal. Keep up the good work and the good chef guys.

We recently had our wedding at The Kentish Hotel in the Wine Shed and can't thank them enough for everything they did for us! Milly, and the rest of the staff, were incredible to deal with and went above and beyond. The food on the day, as well as the many meals we had there leading up to the big day, were always delicious. The venue has a great atmosphere and many of our guests commented on how beautiful it is. Highly recommend the Kentish whether its for a function, a meal or just a for a drink!

If there's a better pub in Adelaide, show it to me. The Kentish is ideally situated at the end of a North Adelaide street, so it's a quiet spot, even when sitting outside. Best menu I've seen, great drinks, even better wait staff. Take a bow, Kentish!

Had lunch there today with a couple of girlfriends and I have to say the food and service was excellent. The waitress we had knew all the right things to say.

A very cozy place to have a very nice meal. The Salmon was cooked perfectly and the skin was crisp. Good selection of beers on tap.

What is not good, the food. Not the first time we had bad experience. We ate 5 different foods, none of them were even good. If I invested this place, i would replace (upgrade) the chef. This place deserves good food.

I can only say the meal I had was underwhelming at $30. Stuffed chicken breast...sounded great on the menu but the actuality was meagre and overcooked.
Those members of our group who went for regular pub fare....fish and chips, calamari and the like fared much better....generous serves, well cooked and attractively presented.
They've upped the decor since we were there last.
New carpets and repainting. Wouldn't rush back.

The Kentish Hotel hosted my 30-year school reunion in their wine shed. The event was a huge success thanks to Milly and her staff. The event room was stunning, and staff were incredibly professional and accommodating. We look forward to hosting another event there in the future.

Everyone was under the pump both times and everything was glorious both evenings!
The staff even got involved in the races of our 2yr old insisting on giving us a bit of a breather!

The Kentish is the best

Just had another amazing meal including wine delivered to our home. We had piping hot delicious chicken parmigiana that melted in the mouth and the most tender salt and pepper calamari, all meals served with crispy fresh salad and chips. Keep up the good work!

The wine shed was a perfect venue for our wedding reception. All our guests were blown away by the room set-up. It looked incredible! The staff went above and beyond to make our special night unforgettable. Ayla was brilliant to work with as she was well organised and very accommodating. We would strongly recommend The Kentish as an outstanding wedding reception venue.

Always happy staff and on a 44degree day the beer was nice and cold.

Nice pub food above average, great value

A great pub hidden away on a backstreet in a lovely setting in North Adelaide, just off Melbourne Street. A wonderful place to sit out the front, have a beer and just admire the nearby historic cottages and beautiful trees and gardens. Worth the effort to make a trip here. Good range of beers and wines, with a garden out the back and big wine room / shed that looks very enticing when it gets cooler. The residents of the area must be chuffed to have this as their local. nnCurrently they have a happy hour from 3-5pm weekdays and 4-6pm on weekends it seems. Plus other events and deals.
