It is an older type of motel being the low cost version of the Lion hotel/Motel. I had the room near the lift which was not good, it was Noisy and then I got changed to a far end room and had a guest up all night not in a good condition!

I am giving a two star review for the simple fact that there is a deposit of $150 that is taken when you check in. The front desk man advised it would be back in our account within 2 business days. Once I returned the key I was told it will take 7 - 14 business days to be returned. This is absolutely ridiculous. One your staff need to be trained the same and be giving the same information. And also taking $150 deposit is not necessary anymore, hotels in the city take $1 and if there is damage then they will charge your card that is on file. I am super unhappy that our money will be held for 7 - 14 days when we were initially told 2 days.

I was told I would receive my bond back after a week. Well, over the next month it was still pending. I called four separate times asking for it back and was always told the same response to just wait a bit longer. After a month later, I said I have waited long enough and threatened to escalate the issue and what do you know? The issue is immediately resolved and I got my bond back instantly.

Embarrassing. You will have to constantly keep your eye on the bond you pay and constantly chase it up. Otherwise, you are essentially paying an extra $100 for your room here. That is not good value and for that price you could find something much nicer and much more reliable.

Stayed here for 6 nights, room was perfect for what we needed. Location is really nice, there are lots of nice restaurants within walking distance which was convenient for us. Also, there is free guest laundry which we took advantage of as we are on a longer roadtrip. We would recommend staying here for a less expensive option with a convenient location!

Paid 15/night for parking. There aren't many spots so it's understandable why it's paid. They make sure there are spots available before charging you.

Disappointment with our recent stay at the hotel on Friday 20/3/26.

We chose the hotel based on the vibrant, fun, and artistic rooms shown online, which felt perfect for a special night out. However, the room we were assigned was very different from what we expected. The decor consisted of black plastic pieces on the walls that resembled spider legs above the bed, which created an uncomfortable and unsettling atmosphere rather than the bright, creative aesthetic advertised.

In addition, the overall condition of the room was poor. The carpet was visibly stained, and there were multiple marks on the walls, which made the space feel unclean and not up to standard.

Due to these issues, we felt unable to stay and made the decision to leave immediately after arriving. This was particularly disappointing as we had planned a special evening following a show in the city, and instead had to drive over an hour to return home.

While I understand that this particular room may appear on the website further down, the overall presentation of the hotel gives a very different impression, and we felt misled by the advertising.
