Dear ZANE SPECIFICALLY, I am very upset that you don't get the staff to put the popcorn on and you don't PUT IT ON YOURSELF WHEN YOU'RE WORKING. I come here specifically for the popcorn. This is the only pub in town I know of that has popcorn and I need my FIX. Even the other venues that don't have popcorn I have more respect for because at least they don't have a popcorn machine sitting UNSUSED despite being functional. Please, all I want is popcorn. I spend a lot of money here and I deserve a proper popcorn

Like many pubs around Australia Taylor's Hotel was sold to the "Cole's" group, so no more Friday afternoon happy hour, raffle tickets sold by topless ladies.
You can still get a decent meal at a reasonable price though!

I have been here twice now and the meals are a good size and well priced. Service is of a high standard.

They had a band, Radio Clones, playing Sunday 26th April. Really amazing! Highly recommend ??'?

I don't really want to share this place because it's such a great secret. The food has always been great, service is awesome too. Great prices and food is always fresh and quick. So shhhh don't let anyone else know about here or they might end up being overrun by people and we won't get in for a feed.

An old pub that has had face lift but not recent. Lunch specials were good prices. Food was good as well.

Great lunch and great service had with friends from out of town will be back.

They don't do rooms anymore good service by bar staff , good meals still great staff

The restaurant was not busy, but there was a function in the beer garden. Our meals took an hour to come and when they did the roast beef was not edible...very tough and dry. We were willing to still stay for desert only to be told that we were not able to order any as the 'kitchen was smashed'. If the kitchen cannot cope with a function, then please close your restaurant. There were only two couples other than us!

Bought take away meals and dessert. Medium steak was dry and over cooked same with chicken pami. And the waffles were still frozen. Wouldnt recommend for meals.

Good old school pub,NOT! prices are ridiculous for a counter meal and 1 drink your looking at over 60 bucks. And that's just a rump steak... the garlic prawns comes with a bag of rice and you'll be lucky to get 6 prawns... won't be going back here that's for dam sure

Went here for lunch today, great service, good meal which was a reasonable size. Gravy was great with great size chicken parmigiana that I ordered. Good value for money. Would recommend!

Food was good and priced right. At $35 for the room you get what you pay for. It was clean and tidy but really hot so couldn't sleep. One pedestal fan, no windows.

This is a hard one to do due to its price. You cannot expect much when paying $35 or $45 for a night in Australia, anywhere else in the world, yes, not here. But let's be clear here, rooms in prison in Australia are more looked after and nicer ;-). So, if you can put up with cleanliness(the lack of), a standing fan that doesn't do anything, maybe a giant rat or 2 crossing your path while going to the outside toilet in the middle of the night and still think it's worth it for just a quick 5 or 6 hrs sleep before your flight, go for it, I would prefer not to. I will pay probably double but stay in something a bit more comfortable and nicer.

Very quiet but great and quick service, a size 100 chicken parmy and a nice cold beer. I will be back.

These guys took my money for a booking that I'd made for my daughter who had just escaped a violent situation and they turned her away because she had no photo ID. She did have other forms of ID. It was late at night when she arrived and she had just driven 12 hours to get there. Thanks to Taylor's she slept on the street in her car. One star is very generous. I'll take a refund! Oh wait, "not your policy" either right?

Great lunch today at Taylor's Hotel. HUGE crumbed steak (doggy bag came home), & my husbands Rump steak was perfect. Very reasonable prices as well with Seniors discount to top it off.

Wow I have had an awesome start soo far at Taylor's Hotel. The price is just right for me and I have really had the best sleep I have had in a very long time.
Last night I had their special $12 rump cooked medium. It was cooked exactly as I had ordered and the chips were seasoned perfectly. I had mushroom sauce with it which is the icing on a fantastic meal.

Great food, you really do get great sized food for a cheap price. Booked a table for 20 late notice and they were able to accommodate us with great and fast service

So booked a room for $45 on booking.com and when myself and a friend arrived and checked in we where given our key. We headed up stairs to our room to find it hadn't even been cleaned after it's last guests. Went back down and told the girl behind the bar and she said they were going to see if they had a different room. So we waited in the pokies and only about 10 minutes later the girl came to say our room was ready that they cleaned it. So we headed back up to our original room to find the beds and just been made. Nothing else had been cleaned. The floor was very dirty and hadn't been vacuumed. We headed out for a bite to eat and decided we couldn't stay there as it was so dirty! So we just left the key at the bar and left! What a waste of money

Unfriendly staff, upon booking we were informed there was a luggage room, only to be told to store our valuables behind the bar which could be seen by all and regularly left unattended as they catered to the restaurant next door. When I asked the elderly bartender about why there wasn't a luggage room she simply stated "what do you expect it's Taylor's hotel love". This statement says it all about the place, the hotel room was unpleasant at best. Room clearly hadn't been cleaned ( especially the fridge) and the windows taped up. Don't even get me started about the girls bathroom.

Ask for bottled coke with my short rum n coke- charged me for post mix on top of the coke I just purchased BOTTLED coke they charged me on top. Cheers guys. WWont be back..

Good old fashion pub, you can sit at the bar and the bar staff will remember what you drink. Great place great environment
