I've visited Moss a few times now and consistently enjoy my visit. There is plenty of seating, the staff are friendly and the food is good. The menu has a nice variety of mains and sides. Good value for money. There are bathrooms on site and the venue is wheelchair accessible. My only complaint is that the inside is quite dark, not in an ambient way.

Came here for lunch, i ordered the cheese burger. Its a double pattie burger with there home made sauce. It had pickles on there was like a gourmet big bac burger... the cios are beer battered and cruncy on the out side ", soft in the middle. Whole meal was amazing! The staff are friendly,fast and very welcoming...

Had the Apple Crumble cocktail which was incredible- like drinking a dessert. The waiter, Phillipe, was sensational. Brought us a cream shot to add to the cocktail which escalated it to sublime. Had the sweet potato fries which were perfectly done.
Went back next day for breakfast - housemate beans on sourdough with egg. Food was great and the coffee was the best ever!

Went here for mothers day we got a morning / brunch menu pricing for portions was really good.

wait time was about 30 mins as four of us ate an we ordered alot so that was pretty quick staff was attentive an professional atmosphere was chill.

Sunday 3/3/24. Excellent service from the get go. From being seated through to payment. Water carafe served while being seated, polite active listening service, drink and food service timely. I never considered here for breakfast but highly recommend after this experience. Will be returning. Food was tasty and ample, couldn't finish my plate.

Went to Moss on Wood to celebrate my birthday. The prawns were succulent. The chilli wings were divine. The steak was juicy. The mashed potato was creamy. The cocktails were refreshing.

Food was pretty great. A little dry, but I am a sucker for a load of dressing. Drinks were great. Wait staff were super attentive when we first got there but then kinda lost interest. They were very friendly and polite, however.
The chairs are super uncomfortable - would definitely recommend trying to get one of the padded ones if you can, as the standard ones were awful.
Lots of parking either on wood street or in the parking lot at end of road.
Easy to get to. A little on the pricier side for some of their dishes but mostly pretty good. Would eat here again.

Very nice interior. Some live music which is great. Extended food service times which is awesome. Had some hot wings which were great. Had zucchini chips too, not so good. Zucchini paper thin and too much batter. Good GF options. They do a tab payment option so hard to track how much you've spent. Good range of drinks. Bathrooms hard to find. Overall 4/5.

Arrived at 6.30 and ordered about 15 minutes later - we were not advised of any delays but at about 7.10 heard staff talking about someone not happy with the 2 hour wait so they had left. Then another customer was told it was 1.5 hours for a pizza - he left.
We chose to wait although after an hour I did ask and was told he thought we were next. He said they had been slammed - I pointed out that at no time did the restaurant seem that busy and there were plenty of tables unused.
Food arrived just before 8 and was fine apart from the steak being closer to medium than rare (as ordered).
Overall was underwhelming more so as it was a birthday celebration.

Saturday morning breakfast adventures, lead me to Moss on Wood.
Lovely place where you can sit inside or on the footpath (not literally, they do have tables and chairs out there 😁).

Big Breakfast has all the traditional items, and is exactly that....BIG.
Chilli Scrambled Eggs was amazing. Spicy chilli sauce (their own concoction) with grilled chorizo. Magic combination and extremely yummy.
Place can get busy at times, so worthwhile booking.
Well worth the effort.....so glad I did.

Perfect venue for a late Sunday afternoon long lunch . The Chefs Special Desert was awesome . Had to do extras at the gym next morning

Stopped here for lunch on Sunday. First time. Wanted to check it out. Can't fault the food but $20 each for melon patch drink is a bit excessive. Definitely soured the experience. Not sure what's in this drink to make it so expensive? Don't think we will be back.

Interesting venue that changes from a cafe during the day to a bar at night. Nice vibe particularly with the outdoor seating.

I had the chilli scrambled eggs and my partner had the big breakfast.
The chilli scramble was yum but lacked a little in flavour.
My partner wasn't a fan eggs were very vinegary and oily sides

Coffee was beautiful

An interesting place to eat that is to say good and bad.
The food is great.
The service is a little disorganised my tip is order a drink as soon as you get directed to to a table as it is a long time between table service.
The food seemed to sit on the pass for a while.

I am here on a business trip, and it is an excellent and cosy place for dining. The food here is fantastic, and their staff is friendly.

Steak sandwich was delicious, definitely must try!! Fish and chips were average. Intended to go for breakfast food but they stop at 11am. Very spacious and aesthetically designed restaurant 🤩

delicious and filling serves, nice variety with the menu, lots of old favourites. cocktails good selection. Staff helpful and courteous. wonderful ambient atmosphere, could have been the company too.

Me and my finance went to breakfast this morning, I was so impressed!
The food here is amazing and they were more than happy to accommodate my dietary needs.
The customer service was incredible the staff were all so friendly and happy to have a chat to us about what's around the Mackay area to do for the day.

Delicious fresh food, fast and good service. Great kids meals. Toddler/ small kids play area was good - enclosed, just hard to see from all areas of the restaurant.

Tried something a bit different and was not disappointed. The food was amazing, the service was exceptional, the staff were friendly. Could not have been happier and will definitely be back.

Waitress taking orders would've been quicker writing it down as took a long time with her tablet (maybe she was new, not sure)

Very disappointed with the service, had to keep asking for cutlery. No spoon with coffee plus I ordered a lge, only received normal size. There was no cutlery brought out with our meals except a steak knife.

This place is worth your money. I had a tea it was amazing. I had the fish and chips cooked to perfection. This place is worth going and if you do expect good prices.

Celebrated my birthday here with a party of 18. As soon as I was in touch with the events manager Kim we had a wonderful experience. There is an extensive menu of canapes to choose from. Really delicious canapes with very clever menu. Picked the menu and paid in advance. On the night we were seated out the front on a long table and so we essentially had our own private space. The wait staff were fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and incredibly generous in portions. We had such a fantastic evening. It was very busy and at times there was a slight delay on drinks which is to be expected. Overall a fantastic night out. Would highly recommend. Very impressed. Thanks to all the staff for making it such a fantastic evening

We came in on New Year's Eve and despite the restaurant being booked out they managed to find us a table for 2. They explained that there may be a bit of a wait as they were busy but our food and drinks still came out within a reasonable time and they were very accommodating with our special requests with our food.
The lady who served us was very professional and courteous the whole time and never made us feel rushed although she was also running around the whole restaurant trying to make everyone else's night as enjoyable as possible. She said her name was Jo when we asked as she didn't have a name badge and when we went to pay we were surprised to learn that she wasn't in a management position as we had originally assumed she was based on her presence and demeanour in the restaurant.
Would highly recommend moss on wood great overall experience.

Unbelievably disappointing. Booked brunch for after wedding. Royally stuffed that up instead scheduled booking for later in the day. Attended at correct booking time and staff made no effort whatsoever to accomodate the nearly 20 people that attended so we left. Went to The Dispensary a few doors down and the staff were fab and made every effort to cater to the needs of our group.
