It's a great place for a family or just a couple of you. Great food and huge meals and good value. Staff always friendly and welcoming. It's a basic hotel however it's a great place and makes up for it in many other ways.

Best vegetarian spaghetti I've ever had, the meals were massive and well priced, the staff were very friendly. Definitely coming back soon.

Room was nice for the price awesome staff,beds the worst sleep ever, food was eatable, If you work in paget very convenient place to stay, trucks are very noisy at 2am + refrigerators trucks go all night great fun.

DO NOT!!! get any seafood out of the three mussels I was served, none where open against my intuition the one mussel I bashed open tasted like mothballs the squid was even worse

So we went to the bistro for dinner as it was our 45th wedding anniversary. We were surprised with a bottle of wine on arrival! Could not fault the staff service and friendliness plus the food was perfect. Thank you everyone for an awesome night! Greatly appreciated!

A heap of customers walked into the bar during lunchtime service. Renae was left out front on her own after repeated calls for assistance from staff with service. Service took way longer than necessary. A few extra hands would've helped.

190 dollars.. a night.. I know I didn't have a booking.. but no shampoo or conditioner. Just soap.. hot water was plenty. Nothing in the fridge.. TV stated service is unavailable.. only a couple of channels.. poor... super poor

The rooms were quite outdated but yet still comfortable and accommodating.

Went for dinner on a Friday night. Booked late and they still got us a table. It was busy, but the service was AMAZING.. it was only outdone by what was possibly the best steak I've had in 10 years and I'm not easily impressed when it comes to steak! My mouth was in heaven!! We'll definitely be back!!

Went here for evening meal with my parents on a very busy Saturday night. My parents had seniors meals. Dad said the fish was alright. In dad speak, that means good. Mum enjoyed her crumbed steak. I had a korean chicken burger. It wasn't as much flavour as I've had in the past, but I was expecting that as it's a pub and not a Korean restaurant. I had asked for no onion, but they put spring onion on it. Once I took this off, I lost a fair bit of the sauce, which probably took away some flavour. I still enjoyed it.
The chips were good.
The waitress, Katie, was excellent, as was the bar staff.
There were a lot of kids and they have a play area. I did see a couple of kids running around a lot. They nearly tripped the staff twice that I saw. I would have asked them to play in the playground or stay at their table. It's dangerous to the staff as well as the patrons.

The restaurant was great. You can book beforehand and order through the QR code at each table, both your meals and drinks, as well as pay for your meals.
They have a wonderful menu and a large cocktail selection.

Went to the pub for dinner and the meals were excellent! We ordered the seafood marinara and steak which were both cooked perfectly! The staff were very friendly and the meals came out quickly.

5 ⭐️ We had a birthday function and could not fault The Boomerang. From the helpfulness of the staff, function room, food, chefs and bar service. Thanks so much for making our evening so special!

Went for dinner with friends, ordered via the QR code on tables. Even though we had to wait over an hour for meals due the app not working the feed was well worth it. The staff tried their best to make up for the technical error. We will definitely be back again

Fresh new look.
I had to visit now that the renovations are complete. I enjoyed a wonderful meal and washed it down with an ice cold beer on Tap. My go to place for lunch & a coldie.

Loved it.. travelled up from Emerald, first time staying there and the staff are friendly. Greeted with a warm welcome. Rooms are clean. Good beds. And the restaurant is near by. Great service. Fast. And food was delicious. Would highly recommend. I would go back.

Something that is not recommended enough, this pubs food and menu! It is so cheap, the food is fantastic and me and my partner love coming here, they have such an amaizing menu, and I was so surprised with the quality of food for the price. Old school great service, nice clean and quiet atmosphere.. always pleased here

Was nice & relaxing out the side for a couple of drinks today at 4-30 pm...I'm not real keen on the pubs atmosphere & layout...it's not comfortable & too hot....I was looking at pictures of the new renovations & I was impressed...its going to look Awesome....the course & woodwork I just love....I'm looking forward to the opening of the newly designed pub etc...

Oh my goodness THE CRUMBED STEAK is EPIC! It was bigger than the plate it comes on. Seriously impressed with the very reasonably priced high quality of the food that came to our table yesterday. I would rate my meal as one of the best Iu2019ve ever had at a pub in Mackay! The staff were warm, friendly and professional. Thanks Sue and Sky for your fantastic service. Our group of 10 will all be back and we will be spreading the word far and wide!
