One of the managers there were absolutely lovely, they showed me around the place to make me feel like home, I even got a private experience in the kitchen, he is known as the lord in those parts, if you meet him, he will make you feel like one of yhere own

Anglers Arms Hotel is a must do place for a family dinner. The service was incredible to say the least.

The staff were prompt and friendly. We wasted no time waiting for service. We were seated outside and although it was a cold night the heaters kept the whole area a comfortable temperature. Drinks and food service and quality was also top notch. The food came quickly, and quality was not effected by the speed. They also helped to entertain the kids by providing colouring pages and pencils straight to the table.

It's also very conveniently located across the road from the tram stop, so easy to access without having to drive.

Absolutely recommend.

Great place to eat. Meals are huge and prices are very reasonable. We have been there twice and will surely go back when we are next down there.

It's very nice place. Everyone is working at the sport bar is very friendly.
Unfortunately the chef is friendly.
I ordered a snack and I asked for a chilli sauce and the chef offered a Worcestershire Sauce(make no sense) then he asked to pay $2 (it's nothing) for a chilli sauce, I couldn't believe, but is fine.

The best bartenders ever I have ever met if I could steal them and make them the bartenders for every bar i have ever been to Kate and Zac went above and beyond for every thing I needed for a drink, made me want to have a good time above and beyond just for one drink would recommend anyone to come here to join. Had Dinner tonight with 12 friends the meals were amazing all came out hot ??"? all very good meals from fish to steak pasta burgers . We were very impressed. The staff were so friendly . Great night we will be back Thank you 🙏

Cool place to be at. I usually come here to hang out with my mates. Impeccable service always. Zac 'Orlando' Ralph, Byron, Shayla and Tyler are a few gems in the staff who always take care of you and are very hospitable. They put up a game for us during world cup and are always generous with recommendations on drinks. Zac made me a super nice Japanese slipper. Love coming here.

Spacious with areas for gambling, smoking, and family dining. Orders can be done using your phone at the table, so there is very little interaction with staff which can be good or bad depending on circumstance. Food is well priced and delivered fast, and the cocktails are both well made and leagues cheaper than you'd find elsewhere on the Gold Coast.

The food was amazing, and the staff on floor were incredibly accommodating. I must say though that I found the worker "Rose" to be very rude and disrespectful. The way she spoke to her coworkers and guests were very surprising (negative). I almost found myself intervening. It seems like the power has gone to her head. If I was the owner, I would be VERY disappointed to have a person like that managing my venue.

Food here is outstanding for an ALH pub.
This is what other venues of ALH should follow as an example of quality and consistency.
You can tell the chef takes pride in his job.
Prawns had a nice garlic butter flavour, clean oil producing very good tasting chips.
Steak cooked to perfection and quality of produce is noticeable.
Lots of pubs don't get this one right but Anglers nails it!
My only gripe is using fetta with bruscetta I prefer Parmesan.
Sadly no oysters available this night - surprising for a Saturday night so close to the coast.

Friendly staff, calm and comfortable venue near the tram.
Glad I went out of the usual direction to find this place.

I booked this hotel for dinner tonight for myself and my family. The lady who greeted us and served our meals was absolutely lovely, she's such a great asset to your pub! The wait times for food is minimal and the food is fantastic.

The bar was awesome met "nigel" and Maria they looked after us and made sure we had a good night and experience. Totally suggest and ill be back when I'm in Aussie again. Also get them a raise haha really happy.

came In for lunch today and the place looked busy. Food was good and only waited 20- 30mins . 1 manager running the bistro and 2 bar staff on. from what I observed , so my 5 stars isn't for the food or customer service but it's for them doing a good job .

Lovely post beach Seafood share platter lunch. Sophie our waitress was lovely and very tentative. Slight hiccup with our martini's but was quickly rectified and 2 drinks on the house offered.
Overall a very lively and lovely small venue that I would recommend for lunch or dinner.

First time we've been here and attended for a drink and a meal with overseas visitors. Service was friendly and efficient, food was really nice and value for the serving sizes. A large, free carpark made for ease of access too. Definitely worth another visit.

Good service, good venue. However, the food was awful. We ordered seafood platter the fries were soggy too much oilly. The carbonara pasta, omg i can only taste garlic flavor a lot of mince garlic in there and overcooked noodles really disappointed. The drink was amazing anyway. I am not recommend to order food here.

We come here for lunch on a Friday. The staff are always friendly and accommodating and the meal service is always very quick. Much faster than Ferry Rd Tavern and the Ashmore Tavern. Food quality is excellent and pricing is good considering

We love anglers arms so much, it's our favourite place to come have dinner as a family. We especially always love Maria, she has always looked after us and made sure we are enjoying ourselves. The best hotel/bar I have been too. Service is immaculate, Rashan was the best waiter I have had. Keep the beers coming with a smile. Couldn't recommend more.

110% One of the best Pub meals we have ever eaten! On holidays to the Gold Coast, easy drive from Biggera Waters. Great friendly staff who bent over backwards to help. Definately highly recommended to anyone traveling from interstate!

Yummo full rack ribs. Alyce is the lovely lady that served us. She should get a reward for going over and beyond. Service was amazing! Being Asian, today they made it possible to get a steam rice instead of chips. Not on the menu, so me and my friend were happy and full.

I was very happy with the service from the young manager James, I was greeted with a Big smile and happy attitude along with great conversation. It was a very busy night and I can say that James did a wonderful job managing walk-ins and serving at the same time while having a smile on his face whilst doing this under pressure.

I ordered the pork ribs, with a patato and slaw "half rack" they were very nice and tender but I was very unhappy with the portion size for the price if it was a cheaper I would definitely be a lot happier, but the size was almost similar to a kids meal or a senior meal! I'd also like to say the bar staff also very excellent and happy two older gentleman served me!

Great atmosphere. By far the best pub in Southport. All the staff are very friendly and provide good service. Especially, Roshan takes very good care of you at night times. Highly recommend!

We are regulars of Anglers Arms. Love the food especially chicken parmigiana (prefer senior's size and price, never able to eat all of large size) Wayne had chicken burger last visit which he enjoyed. Staff are happy to accommodate me in my wheelchair which makes a big difference.. only other comment is that I find the salad hard to eat with the fibrous lettuce but others seem to like it. Great chips though.

Good pub food at reasonable prices. Quite good atmosphere. Great spot for pre theatre dinner.

My partner and I visit fairly often as we live close by and cannot always find the time to cook, the menu is fairly basic but we like it and the pricing is fair for Tavern food. It does get busy here so if you are looking to sit in the restaurant its advisable to book ahead. However you are more than welcome to sit a any of the tables in the adjacent bar.

Great food, reasonably priced and friendly staff who make you feel welcome! If you're lucky or book ahead, you can get one of the outside balcony tables which are wonderful on a warm summer's night. Perimeter tables have comfy bench seats with soft cushions. My suggestion, try the ribs.
