We stayed here back in April & we were very disappointed in our stay. This wasn't our first time, we always loved staying here so would always return. However, I think this will be our last.

The place has aged quite badly since our last visit and the upkeep doesn't seem that great. I understand it's at a beach location but when paying a decent price for 1 night ($400) you do expect at least the basics.

The room wasn't cleaned very well. The floors were filthy. Crumbs and bits everywhere & sticky floors. Benches dirty & cups not cleaned.

In the morning we went to have some juice & they were all out of date.

Lastly, we booked an apartment for 2 adults & 2 children. The room included a bed & stated a sofa bed. We had to pay extra for the 2 children, which isn't an issue. However, there was no extra pillows or bedding for the sofa bed. By the time we realised (we had to head out quickly once checked it) there was no one at reception (they go home) to get some. I would have thought there would be at least an extra pillow & blanket if you are advertising a sofa bed & we had to pay for the extra 2 people.

Also, for 4 people we were given only 2 towels & again no staff there in the evening to ask.

Staff were friendly on check in, location great. But not frustrated when paying a reasonable amount for a room and having this type of standard.

wallaroo marina quiet a few time's just to relax
"And that we did", lovely view . i did notice the lovely carpet is gone, BUT i didnt go much on the grey vinyl flooring i think it doesnt give that classy look to the room, i know it would be easy to maintain , but it does make the room look cheaper, it just felt under priced. I would have thought a rich mahogany or a Baltic look something
classy if your going to change the room's, sorry but it does make me question the room price $200 a night.. ( i dont think it was a good change.

Fantastic hotel overlooking the water. Calm and relaxing vibes. Friendly staff clean, modern and spacious rooms. We loved our stay with our 3 month old baby, Will definitely be back!

We booked accomodation in April 2023 for Xmas and when we arrived on Boxing Day for our 3 nights, we were informed that the accommodation had been given to someone else for a longer period - despite receiving multiple confirmation emails in the lead-up. Our xmas holiday was ruined as we were left with no suitable alternative accommodation and nothing available elsewhere in the York Peninsula. Book with caution.

Location was stunning and right on the water front. Unfortunately the room was in a state of disrepair. As it was raining, the windows in the bathroom were leaking and water was going everywhere even starting to fill our bath tub (see pictures). This also created a really bad mould smell. Upon reporting this to reception, they advised they can't do anything about it and they are trying to claim it on insurance at the current time. This is unacceptable. If it is a room that is not suitable it should not be sold! The bedroom was detached from the wall which also created a banging sound everytime you moved and the entire room was dusty. The reception staff did not care at all about guest experiences and on our way out we handed the keys over and got "drive safely" with no apologies or acknowledge of our experience. If it is nice weather and you don't mind a bit of cleanliness issues the location is beautiful and I would recommend staying here. I personally will not be staying here again and am saddned that this level of service is in the country towns of my home state.

We recently stayed at these apartments for two nights after our South Australian road trip. We had good water views & there was a large balcony. The apartment was clean & had everything we needed. There was no wifi available & the oven was out of order. However, we were told of this in advance, hence the price was adjusted. Good owner response & we appreciated the early check-in

Immaculate, modern 2 bedroom penthouse apartment, spotlessly clean, with magnificent views, of the marina and North Beach from our large balcony and from our huge, private rooftop terrace, complete with well equipped outdoor kitchen (with bbq, large fridge and dishwasher).

The only issue was the large windows and sliding doors out onto the balcony were quite dirty which spoiled the view to some extent. When I politely asked for something to clean them with, they sent 2 friendly staff members up straight away to clean them ??'?

Great location, with friendly, accomodating staff, and Cooper's Alehouse downstairs for decent meals (with a view).

Not our first stay and won't be our last...highly recommended

A beautiful apartment right next to the water with great view. Friendly staff, good service, free parking and on-site restaurant. Please remember to lock your room door with key, as it won't lock itself.

My room made me so happy! This is such a surprise to see that there is such a cozy place to stay at in the country.
Nice and helpful staff, immaculate rooms and with everything provided (love that they provide recycling bins in the room!), shower head is strong, good flushing, nice tub, very comfy bed. Will definitely come again!

Excellent accommodation with full servicing of the apartment. Facilities to cook or heat up meals. Sit out on the balcony watching over the marina or wander down to the Ale House below.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom penthouse apartment and it was absolutely amazing the room was spotless and the views were incredible. The ladies at the reception desk were very friendly and helpful. We will definately be back for another stay.

Great accommodation. Front desk staff were really lovely, especially Dana. Clean room, good amenities. Cleaning ladies we met were lovely too. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed in the 3 bedroom town houses just next to the apartment complex. Paid $500 a night for 5 people if it wasn't for the fantastic view you would only pay $200. Garage and outdoor patio are dirty and cobwebs abound, inside is dark, huge hole in the roof of one toilet, beds are small, limited kitchen tools, no extras such as board games or movies, kayaks advertised for hire are "in maintenance" and not available - shame as we wanted to do this on our trip

Brilliant marina views. We stayed with friends in apartment 9, it was clean and our bed was comfy. Lovely apartment with great facilities, pity we only stayed one night.
Also reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Very nice room overlooking the marina. Sitting on the balcony was a special experience. Ale house next door for meals so everything going for this place. Service staff very helpful.

Booked a 2 bed penthouse, recieved room 27 level 5, $495 a night even spent an extra $75 on early check in and late check out. Walked into the room to find massive water stains on the roof in the hallway and main bedroom, water damaged walls and skirting boards, downlight nearly falling out the roof in the bathroom and spider webs on the cornice in the bedroom. Spoke to the front desk asking if they knew about this and said they did, asked for another room and were fully booked so pretty much told to deal with it. No offer on any discount or money back. Emailed the business day of check out after 3 business day no answer. False advertising at its finest.

Great location, Freindly staff, spacious rooms with comfortable bed and everything you need for your stay. Beautiful Marina views, continental breakfast in our room was excellent. Loved our 2 night stay and will definitely be back.

I stayed in Executive apartment for 2 nights Room 5 on level 1. Staff were friendly, place was clean, convenient location and great views from balcony, good kitchen facilities. The Coopers Alehouse next door was convenient too. However at over $200 a night, I expected much better comfort. I would have expected a pillow top bed with crisp sheets, not well worn no longer white sheets, and a quilt cover, not two sheets folded over the quilt. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, mattress sagged on edges and I had to wedge a pillow underneath mattress to help. The sofa was so uncomfortable. Tiles in the bathroom were cracked. The chairs on the balcony were also very uncomfortable! This is definitely not a 4 star acommodation but rather 3 star and is overpriced. PS Not sure why you are "surprised" at my review, there is another review of exactly the same room and the person saying their husband couldn't sleep on the bed as it was too hard!

This place is amazing we booked through Booking.com and got the beautiful place to stay and the view from the window was also great. The staff is so kind and welcoming. The apartment was so clean and well maintained. Would love to recommend others and will book again of any plans to visit Yorke.

Upmarket price for good accommodation. Great outlook. Apartment a bit tired. Light globes missing, chipped tiles. Hole in ceiling in kitchen. Need stools at kitchen counter.
Locked rooms a pity because we can't evaluate suitability for larger group than the two of us. First time I've encountered locked rooms.

Overall: pleasant enough but expecting more.

What a gem sitting pretty amongst the immediate area, which is being built up and rebuilding going on all around it. This will be a very sought after stay as time goes on.
Very clean room, we stayed in room 8 with marina view. Ordered an amazing cook in room breakfast that was delivered to our room the night before.
Bath in room so will be using that also.
Awesome Nespresso coffee machine at the ready.
Wonderful complimentary wine and chocolates to greet us, as we have the package and are now just awaiting the masseuse for an hour massage for 1! 🥰
The restaurant next door seems to have a fantastic menu so will pop in for a late dinner. . (And review that also)

What an absolute surprise packet to find luxury accommodation of this standard on the Yorke Peninsula. We had spectacular views over the Marina and North Beach. Rooms were immaculately clean and staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly + even the cleaning staff were in professional uniforms and HAPPY. Wallaroo was absolutely beautiful and this is clearly THE place to stay with family or friends.

It was an amazing experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay!

We had the penthouse which had two ensuite bedrooms, a large living area and, of course, the rooftop. The views were spectacular. It was immaculately clean and came with all the 'extras'.

One of my favourite hidden spots is wallaroo. Highly underrated in my opinion - this is the place to go for a relaxing time. The scenery, the bar & restaurant attached onto the complex, the quiet atmosphere - it all added up.

The staff were friendly and helpful. What a wonderful place and a great part of South Australia.

I won't hesitate in booking here again. Highly recommended.

Sensational space with 3 bedrooms, & 2 bathrooms.
All the staff were friendly & helpful, the rooms were clean & the bed oh, so comfy!
The views were magnificent! The Coopers Ale House is a five minute walk away, Will definitely be back! xx

Really enjoyed the location and my stay. My only criticism is that the apartment we stayed in was had dust all over the walls. I wiped my hand over the feature wall and it looked like snowflakes.

Barely OK. Ducted air con has a loud constant whign which sounds like a jet engine when its on high, very annoying when trying to get to sleep. 2 of the beds had long black hairs still all over them. Extra $10 to be able to use the carport..... extra for this, extra for that..... is alright if your wanting basic accommodation without any simple extras. Quality of the townhouse wasn't very good for being only weeks old, so we were told when we booked, however, it was big and airy right on the water.

The bed in room 5 on level one was incredibly hard! My husband slept on the fold out couch. Apart from that major issue, the rest of the apartment was clean and comfortable

Nice clean rooms. All the amenities that you need for a simple getaway. Located right next to the marina so was nice to get some views of the nice boats. The staff were friendly and helped us out where required. Will stay again if in the area
