Appalling service. Got upgraded on arrival which was lovely but the service after overshadowed this. We had dinner in the rooftop restaurant last Saturday night. We were advised they would apply my friends accor discount which they did not. We ordered the king fish tuna which was gone off and not fit for human consumption. We sent it back and they charged us for this and did not apply the discount. Further on checking in my friend was advised he had complimentary lounge access. They added it to the bill and claimed it wasn't included and sorry the girl at reception is new and she made a mistake but you still need to pay. Following my friends review they send a copied and pasted generic response but made no offer whatsoever to even address the issue or refund the amount overcharged. Upper Management really need to address the appalling service from the top down otherwise what has the potential to be a great hotel will continue to fail miserably on service

Great location, right in the heart of the city and have a tram station right at the door. The room was nice and large but the little window with no view was disappointing. The reception was friendly and helpful. I might stay there again.

Great location, close to everything we wanted to do. Also really enjoyed the styling and decoration of the hotel and the furnishings in our room were fantastic. The Reservations Manager was extremely helpful in assisting me to upgrade our room and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
High recommend!

We have stayed at the Pullman Melbourne City Centre Hotel on many occasions and have always enjoyed the experience. The hotel has a great vibe - we love the rooms and particularly enjoyed our upgrade to a Luxury Premium King Size Room on this visit. It was spacious and comfortable. The executive lounge Elevate which we have complimentary access to because of my husband's platinum status never fails to impress. It has a great comfortable ambience. Staff lovely and always so welcoming and friendly. Thank you to the team. Breakfast is delightful. We were a little disappointed that all restaurants were closed on this occasion being a Sunday night - no chance to use our Accor Plus benefits for dining also we have always enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine delivered to our room on account of our platinum status on previous visits. Not this time. However all in all a very pleasant stay. We will be certain to return in the not too distant future when visiting family in Melbourne.

Just had the perfect stay. Check in took a little long as only 1 desk but staff were amazing and very helpful. Concierge was so polite and assisted us with our bags at checkout so quickly and professionally. Room was spacious and well presented. Offered a bottle of wine when we requested not to have our room made up on the second day, not expected but a lovely touch. Blossoms roof top bar was amazing, the food delicious (those pizzas ðŸ'ŒðŸ'Œ) and every single staff member were incredible, friendly and genuine. What a great space. Will definitely be my hotel of choice when in Melbourne

Decent business hotel with great location. I hated how they just one person at the front desk for check in/out. It takes a long time for if there's a couple people infront of you. The room is decent, albeit the bathroom door have a gap so you can be seen on the toilet. 😅 the location is awesome, but there could be loud music playing on the street, so not great for people who wants to sleep early. The rooftop bar is decent with good view.

We stayed in a Superior King Room and very much enjoyed the hotel. The room was very spacious which was just great and everything worked well and as it should be. Bed was super comfortable!

Breakfast is western based but very delicious with loads of choice. The Executive floor on Level 15 is an absolute gem and the staff were all lovely. Blossom on Level 14 had great pizzas and has a lovely casual vibe.

The gym is lit dark but all the equipment was great and looks well maintained. It just needs regular tidying as there were loose dumbbells spread around.

The hotel location is very central for shopping and for a range of dining experiences which is massively handy.

A brilliant 2 night stay and we look forward to returning in the future.

Found it a bit odd behind the Mercure however the hotel is situated right in the middle of Melbourne. Turn right out of the alley way and you're in Chinatown, turn left you're in for some great shopping. The rooms are clean and good value if travelling with family having 2 queen beds. The rooms are quiet and the nice touch having free still or sparkling water available outside your room. Tried to book Chine New Year next year but unfortunately can't make a booking! :(

Not really a 5 star hotel. Asked our room to be cleaned everyday during our stay.

Only to be disappointed when we come back that it's not. This happened 4 times in our week stay. So had to request it again downstairs and leave again.

We requested for a dental kit multiple times as well and had to call guest services. In the next day, we gave up and just bought our own.

Similarly, with the towels. There was a day we got tired of asking reception for our room to be cleaned. Requested for towels to be replaced. It took a lot of requests before someone came in. For those days, took the trash out ourselves so we could have at least clean bins.

We stayed at the Pullman for a few days in the Deluxe Room 1 King Bed and we had lounge access.

Pros:
* The room was super clean and fresh and smelt great.
* The bed was comfortable and not sagging or lumpy
* Its in an excellent spot, right in the middle of town and easy to get around anywhere
* The bathroom and room had some hooks and places for your towel (that wasn't right over the toilet) which nice
* The bathroom has great lighting so it's good if you're doing makeup but there's not much space if there's two of you.
* There was a really nice view from our room (708) of the tram and trees and the room was nice and light
* We were able to check in early which was really helpful for coordinating work for the day.
* The lounge is absolutely beautiful. The food and drink selection was great, but it was freezing in there!
* Almost all of the staff were lovely and so keen to help and make sure we had a great stay

Cons:
* There's no where to put your luggage, it looked like most people put it on the couch, so the couch was looking a little worse for wear. There is a cupboard for hanging clothes tho and it was long enough for dresses/pants which was a nice plus over other hotels I've stayed in.
* There's a table in the room but no chairs? I asked for a chair so I could work at the table but was told they were short on staff so in the end I went up to the lounge and asked to borrow one from there.
* Same for the cleaning, our room never got made up because they had a staff shortage? We spoke to a guy at the front desk who couldn't have cared less but when I spoke to the manager she was really helpful and the head of housekeeping was amazing and got it cleaned on our last day there.
* The trams and buskers were very very loud until about 11pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. If I wasn't working I would probably have been out anyway but if you're working you might want to request a room that doesn't overlook that road.

The housekeeping/Staff shortage was unfortunate and meant we had to call and ask for things that normally just happen but honestly, it was clean and comfortable and most of the staff were wonderful so we will absolutely be back to stay again.

Pullman Melbourne on Swanston is in the heart of the city.
The rooms have been recently refurbished and comfortable.
The bed was super comfy.
Not sure why the toilet seat doesn't fit?
We really liked that we could open the window a little for some fresh air.
There's a good size TV with Foxtel channels.
The breakfast was really good with free range eggs.
The rooftop bar makes great wood fire pizza.
There's also a member's club lounge at $100 per day - we gave that a miss.

Really loved my stay here, and great service. Had a Superior 2 Queen Bed room as I was meant to be travelling with a friend but ended up alone. The room was very spacious and comfortable and would've been great for 2 people. Quiet, a desk for working at, and a nice spacious bathroom. Room service was good, actually all service was good. Will be back (this coming week, actually).

Loved my stay. The break was wonderful. The staff are incredibly friendly. I got upgraded to a suite with a fantastic bath. The bed was incredibly comfy. The executive lounge was amazing. Very yummy food. Would happily stay again. I'll be back

Cons: very noisy. If a light sleeper wouldn't recommend. I'm on level 10 and can hear the trams and street traffic. Also people going up and down in the lift. Also you will be able to hear the people arguing in the room next door, because of a connecting door between the rooms

Spoke to the receptionist and she was helpful and apologetic but as they were fully booked was only able to provide earplugs. For the price I would expect better soundproofing. Did not have this problem when I stayed at the Adelaide Pullman. As I was travelling from a funeral I wanted something restful. I didn't find it.

Pros: Staff are helpful, showers hot. Beds comfy. Shame about the noise.

I went here last year at September and really enjoyed it. The dinner was amazing and so was the buffet breakfast. Rooms were great and had lots of space. Certainly worth the money!

We chose to celebrate our wedding in the private dining area with a small group. We were very impressed with the service that we received. The food from Eva Restaurant was excellent and the waiting service was spot on. Staff were very attentive and made our day flow smoothly and without any problems. We also chose to stay one night in the rooms and were impressed with the style and cleanliness of the room. Welcomed with a bottle of wine which was a nice touch. Would recommend. Thanks!!

I can definitely recommend this as an awesome hotel for those visiting the Melbourne CBD. It's so central to everything, you can't beat the location. The rooms have been recently been refurbished and are quiet and comfortable. The staff are all super friendly. And check out those awesome carpets!

Amazing loved it! Nothing to fault! Only very small detail, the QR code for in room dining didn't work. Staff were also wonderful, and the rooms were impeccable, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was also amazing . Really good pressure. Lots of TV and foxel options.

Great location, but management need to do something about the air conditioning. Room was set to 18deg C and didn't drop below 27 with the window closed. Unfortunately a choice between poor sleep in a hotbox, or opening the window to let some air in along with all the late night street noise. Happened to friends on a different floor also.

5star location, 1 star climate control!

Right in the middle of town, but removed from the hustle and bustle. The hotel staff made me feel very special and looked after from the time I set foot in the lobby. Room was high quality and modern, with a lot of nice amenities. Breakfast on Level 14 was amazing - with a mimosa and bloody mary bar! Highly recommended.

Had a very good stay here. The room was great and the lounge was excellent. Staff was generally very friendly. The lobby entrance isn't so welcoming and not all lifts were working at the beginning of the stay. It's the perfect location for exploring the city. Food was excellent.

My wife and I stayed here on a short stay over a weekend. The location is outstanding. All the shopping literally a few steps from the door with everything else accessible with a tram stop on the same block.
Special mention to Alberto at reception who was exceptional despite it being a busy weekend between Christmas and New Year's. Thank you Alberto!

Very well located for seeing and doing everything in Melbourne. The room we had was clean and well furnished. The TVs large and easy to plug in my chomecast (which is annoyingly often an issue!). Sound proofing could be improved to reduce street noise, but if you book a hotel in the centre of a city noise is to be expected so I can't mark it down for this. We had a problem with our room key a couple of times, but the staff on the reception desk were friendly and sorted it out quickly.

We had a nice few nights here,nice room with a great 🚿 shower. Not a great view from the room though. Staff friendly & helpful,breakfast ample. Pity our A/C broke down on our last night there but got a fan in it's place. Convenient location near the tram stop.

A great hotel in a fabulous location. The staff were fantastic, but reception is in a small area and can get busy. A minor error with my taxi booking on Saturday afternoon was fixed. My room on level 3 was very clean and comfortable.

Room was fantastic and modern. Loved the carpet that was a map of the CBD. Service was great friendly and welcoming. It was unfortunate that the restaurant was closed but the hotels central location meant that we found a local place quickly and easily. Overall one of the very best hotels I've stayed at. I highly recommend.

Bed & pillow quality were great! One of the most comfy beds out there. Bed sheets & blankets are also very soft. Liked it.

Location is also great. Tram stop just in front. Restaurants and malls are also nearby.

Hotel is relatively small, though. Lobby area is small. Bathroom also small for a 5 star hotel. Services also can be improved, not as friendly as I expected for a Pullman hotel.

Not sure the place was under staffed during our stay, but no at the reception or room service seem to answer the phone.
Restaurant only had one person to serve so he seemed quite stressed out and got the breakfast order wrong multiple times.
In room dining food was quite average.
No recycling bins in the room even though the hotel seems to talk a lot about sustainability etc... So had to take recyclables and soft plastics home to dispose properly.

I would consider again for location, but think twice if another option exists within the same radius.

I would definitely return to this hotel. Loved the room. Rooms were comfortable and extremely well maintained. Amazing cleaning staff. Great location. On return home I had some queries that were instantly addressed and dealt with by the Executive Assistant Alex. I was most impressed with the communication. Thankyou our stay was wonderful. Definitely coming back.

We have had the loveliest stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Decor is cool, quirky yet luxurious, loved it. Location is perfect and we'll situated close to all the shops and food places you could want!

The staff were super accommodating for us as we were fasting and had to eat before breakfast opening time. They arranged for breakfast delivered to our room at 4AM on the dot and even gave us a Microwave to use in our room for the duration of our stay so we could heat up our food. This is what I call going above and beyond. Making us super welcomed and making everything feel like it wasn't any trouble. Truly appreciative to everyone and especially Tina (the manager on duty) who arranged everything for us.

The Pullman on Swanston was a lovely place to stay on our long awaited return to Melbourne. Fresh experience was on offer having only just reopened due to covid.

LOCATION:
Hideen from street view with an entrance on Swanston Street otherwise the main entrance is just off the lane way and potential to be co fused with another hotel as well. Identified by the nice red carpet leading you into the foyer loop.
Well insulated from outdoor noise aside from the occasional tram bell. Good centralised spot close to china town and all great shopping outlets and eateries.

COUNTER/STAFF:
Quality of service was incredible. Polite, genuine interest in plans and experience as well as spot on recommendations for out of touch travellers. In our instance we were fortunate early check in was available. Check in process was easy, straight forward and efficient. Offer to transport our luggage at check in and also delivered to our uber opon check out made the whole experience perfect and effortless.

ROOMS:
We had the Deluxe King room which was wonderful. Great bedside window views and corner lounge window views toward fed square. Spacious and comfortable with a seperate lounge. Comfortable bed with pillow selections available.
Bathroom sliding door has a bit of a gap so acoustically not great.
Shower takes a good minute to warm up and pressure could be a little stronger.

Overpriced, dirty, outdated. The renovations are nothing more than lipstick. The entire hotel feels dirty. Staff aren't interested in helping, unless it's to take your money. Definitely not a 5 star hotel.

Great food, thanks for providing fantastic quarantine menu especially for vegan - 5 stars. Just a room decor issue for me, not a fan of the splashy street signed carpets and canvas - but otherwise nice rooms, spacious with everything and more included.

We had good and some bad memories.
The food wasn't for us (Afghanistan).
They had good behavior and silence room.

Staying here for our quarantine.We are in a group of 3 adults and 2 young kids in a joint room. We only want to say a big thank you for everything. I read some negative reviews regarding food, but for us, we enjoyed. Sometimes the mood would decide on what to eat, so wed opt for ubereats on those days, but hotel food was good too. Most of the time kids had special meals, which you could tell that the chef has been trying his/her best to make the kids happy. Kids also got a simple entertainment set which is very thoughtful. Thank you team, we have nothing to say but a big thank you for making our days in quarantine less stressful. Also, the rooms are comfortable and we enjoyed the prompt service. Thank you again!

The food is horrible. NOT RECOMMENDED. Many people in quanrantine end up ordering food from outside. Not sure why a good hotel would offer food that is very poor.

Recently renovated it's a fantastic little hotel with modern rooms and great location.

This hotel is absolutely stunning!! Amazing room and facilities: the gym was the coolest hotel gym I've ever seen with aqua boxing bags and a great atmosphere. Went there everyday we stayed! I would definitely suggest paying the $60 daily for access to level 15 with drinks, canapes and a breakfast buffet.. so worth the money. All of this served in a delicate, beautiful room with amazing views of the city. I do have to mention Aldo, I think he was the manager of level 15, but he was the loveliest man in Melbourne!! He was polite, generous and charismatic. When his shift ended he even offered to walk past our restaurant of choice for dinner and book a table for us. He was an absolute legend, thanks for your hospitality Pullman's and Aldo!!
