They live up to their logo. Food is really good with portions substantial. Really nice atmosphere with different spaces. Parking is limited-at hotel and in street. You may have to wait a bit.

They also have great events on offer e.g. masterclass for Father's day.

Ample tables for large groups.

In my opinion - this venue remains the pinnacle of steak dining in Brisbane 🏆

The service has improved since our last visit, with more attentive wait staff and meals now delivered to tables ðŸ'

Parking can be highly sought after, especially if there's an event at the nearby Woolloongabba stadium, it certainly can pay to arrive early.

Our group of friends decided to satisfy our steak cravings by visiting the bustling Norman Hotel. If you plan on dining here, it's advisable to make a reservation, especially during the weekends when the place is packed. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by a staff member.

There is a tempting selection of cuts on display, including the luxurious Wagyu. Each steak order came with a soft roll, a choice of two sides from their menu, and a selection of sauces. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, exactly how we requested. For a small fee, you can upgrade your sides or add a delicious topper to your meal. Additionally, the menu offers a variety of entrees, salads, and desserts to round out your dining experience.

To complement our meals, we had the option to order both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from the bar.

Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff at the Norman Hotel were friendly and efficient, ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable.

It has been 15 years since I have dined here & the atmosphere, the staff & food were all amazing!

Lots of space to eat in groups, with kids or intimately for two with both indoor & outdoor spaces - easy access for prams & mobility vehicles also.

Order from your table, highly recommend the garlic bread as a starter but the bread rolls given are great - they're the ones you want to put in your purse! 😂 Our meals came out together & considering how busy the restaurant was on this Sunday night, it wasn't too much of a wait! The staff were very attentive & my friends loved their steak meals which is what The Norman has been known for!

Lots of free parking behind the venue & public transport available to Woolloongabba station via the bus with a short 10 mins walk to the venue.

It was really great to see this very popular venue still thriving & surviving after everything it has gone through. Highly recommend.

The food was great! The salad sauce was good too! We hope they could add more sauce as I've finished it halfway through my meat!! Parking lot was huge, lots of tables available despite the many customers.

The 3 of us all had the 300g eye fillet. We all thought our steaks where undercooked, I think due to the size and thickness of the eye fillet makes a bit harder. High quality meat though.
Oysters Kilpatrick were great as well as the side of garlic prawns. Sauces were on point.
Definitely go again when I'm in the area.

My family and I recently visited Norman Hotel for lunch, and the experience was truly exceptional. The beef Fillet Magnion and Fillet Ribs that my wife and in-laws ordered were nothing short of delicious, while I opted for the Barramundi, and it exceeded my expectations.r5q I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to savor delectable dishes in a welcoming atmosphere.

Relaxing atmosphere perfect for having a leisurely lunch. We are in the garden and own the private space.

Wagyu steak had a slight bitter taste, by the way, they graciously offered to grill the new one for us.

I appreciate the creamy spinach and garlic bread with the delightful aroma.

Have had the pleasure of dining here a number of times now including Christmas work parties where it is a great venue for groups. They have a very generous steak menu with several cuts available. Overall it is quite expensive but serving sizes are large, you have choices in sides, and my steak has been cooked to perfection each time. It's a large venue and can be very busy so booking ahead is a good idea. On my most recent visit they were trialling ordering from QR codes which was an improvement on their service, previously you had to line up to order food. Service otherwise is always fantastic and staff work hard to deliver a positive dining experience for its guests. I particularly love the atmosphere of the outdoor area. Parking onsite is limited for such a large restaurant, and on a busy night do expect to have to park on a nearby street and walk.

The place was completely packed and the T-bone was cooked to perfection, the baked spud and bacon were amazing and even the salad was tasty with the perfect amount of dressing. Save the bread roll until the end to soak up the left over juices and sauce.

My son and I attended the SteakMaster course and it was excellent. Very informative and interesting, followed by a great steak meal that we helped cook. A very enjoyable evening and well worth the money.

Big steak for a big boy. We rallied the troops and dominated the 1kg steak challenge. It has to be said that this wasn't a challenge, rather it was in my books the perfect sized steak. Certificate in hand, I walked away a happy man, knowing my name would forever dawn the walls of the Norman. I can't wait for next years challenge.

I love the private room at Norman Hotel. Great table to host our big family. They gave the option to order at the counter, it was easy so each family paid individually. The food came all at once and perfect cook as always.

Steak quality and service has dropped. This used to be our favourite steak go to!
Ordered a midi eye fillet medium. Steak was not cooked medium and very tough & lots of sinew throughout. It had a cut mark on arrival like they had checked to see if it was cooked properly.
I spoke to the manager (male) at the end to let him know of my disappointment and to relay to the chef. I didn't ask for a refund or anything just simply to provide feedback. He was rude and argumentative with my husband. We were regulars but I'll be looking for a new local after the way we were spoken to today (29/4/23) Very disappointed

Similar to what the old steak restaurant at Breakfast Creek used to be. The steak menu is generous, with plenty of different cuts to choose from, including some higher end ones. Overall it's quite expensive but the side portions are large. They are currently trialling ordering online via QR codes which is a great improvement over standing in line to order at the counter.

Such a fabulous steak house. So many styles of seating and steaks to select from, with a lovely selection of sides (many are gluten free and dairy free). The write up on the steaks indicate where they are from snd what they fed on. We sat out in the open air in the beer garden and loved it. The service was friendly, helpful and quick. There was also a nice selection of wines. I enjoyed the Jim Barry Cab Sav with my steak. My husband enjoyed Stone and Wood Pacific Ale on tap.

Overall, all the food tasted good. Especially mixed oysters ??'?🏻

But the steak was a little disappointing. I ordered a steak with medium cooked, but it was close to medium rare. The salt of the chips disturbed the taste of the pork ribs on the same bowl.

Well, we were known as the most none vegetarian restaurant in Brisbane. We have never had a bad steak from here. Due to the late-night booking, I emailed them our orders. The staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived at 7.45 pm, and our food was served 5-10 minutes later. Top service!

Fabulous steak! Had Sunday lunch there with my husband and the place was buzzing.
Food ordered at the counter and drinks via a QR code. Drinks arrived very quickly and the food followed soon after. There were plenty of staff around to cater for the number of people there and the kitchen staff just worked non-stop like a well oiled machine.
I had the NY cut striploin with mustard bernaise, chips and salad. Everything was fresh and delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection. My husband had the rib on the bone, coleslaw and baked potato with bacon. We shared a side order of onion rings which completed the meal.
Can't wait to go back.

Fabulous. Great food altho it's not cheap. Definitely worth it. Not crowded for Wednesday lunch but very busy on Saturdays. Had to wait quite a while for meals for five people. Despite its label as 'worst restaurant for vegetarians' - specialty being steak - they do offer delicious meals for vegetarians. Lovely atmosphere. Attentive wait staff. Always reliably good restaurant.

The steaks are average and their service is far below average but the price is above average. They may know about steaks but might not know about service. I strongly recommend not to use them for someone's birthday or special occasions.

Steak, chips, baked and mashed potato are always cooked to perfection. Even the bread, sauces, garden salad and coleslaw doesn't disappoint. Consistency always exists here. Service is fast and up high in standards; staffs are always responsive and willing to fix your complaints promptly (over/undercooked steak, wrong sides etc).

An excellent steak house on the south side in Brisbane. Big open dining spaces, with a huge number of areas to relax and dine at. Big bars with plenty of service and the usual big range of steaks make it a great location for a social catch up with bigger groups

Poor service and food.

We've been here three times in 12 months and over this time the service has become poorer and poorer.
For a restaurant that is known for its steaks two of ours had to be returned to the kitchen as they weren't cooked to medium, they were more rare! the chips were cold and the salad was poor.

It's bad enough you have to queue up for at least 15 to 25 minutes to order a meal which keeps you away from other people at your table, at $39.95 for a 200 gram eye fillet, no more, there are plenty of other places that can give me a better steak where I don't have to leave my table.
No Staff came at ANY STAGE to remove any drinking glasses or dirty plates until we stood up to leave, and we were there 3 hours??'???'???'?

Had a great time at the Norman Hotel to celebrate my 18th Birthday, Meals were absolutely exquisite. Service was quick and punctual. Over 15 people were served in under 30 minutes. Outstanding service. Thank You Norman Hotel for your amazing hospitality!

Cannot recommend and rate this place high enough. The food (especially the steaks) are next level. Whenever we have been it's always super busy but never waiting long for our food. Beautiful outdoor courtyard seating area with fairy lights at night is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a cold beverage and yummy food. Great location right near the Gabba and city.

Great venue with a great menu and friendly atmosphere. Steak cabinet is unique. Great food, in particular all the steaks. Multiple visits with never a bad experience, bar prices can be a little high

The chefs here know exactly what they are doing. The day I went there with a friend it was a little busy and we were place in a strange place for a table to be, but we were able to move. Essentially, this place is just your basic pub in Brisbane with the exception that the steak is probably the best you are going to get around. If I would come back to this place, it would be to hold a function or a staff party. Their little to large rooms tucked away all around the place is a great place to hold a party.

What a shamefully display of disregard for the requirements for the law in regard to the Covid19 .

I love this steak house. Since 1985. World class steaks at the right price. Easy parking. Not that busy past 8pm so go late to avoid the line up. However, last visit there was a noticeable decline. Smaller T Bone, might have been frozen or not that good, no sour cream on the potato. Benefit of the doubt during Covid and I hope you return to that fantastic quality you were known for.

Size steak is much trimmed version,slice is thinner...the butter accompanying the bread is much slimmer inside....another example of...creative trimming to increase profits....huh.....very disappointed...

Nice venue and quick service, just bad steaks. Sat with a table with easy view onto the smoking grill. Witnessed the chef put steak after steak after steak, completely unseasoned on the grill. Sure enough, when ours arrived, bland as bland could be. Also put medium rare and medium steaks were undercooked (the latter an eye fillet still cool in the very middle). Disappointing for a restaurant found on a list with Brisbane's top 10 steakhouses, would suggest trying one of the other 9.

I will not be going back. The potato was very small, and the t-bone was pink on the bone. I ordered well-done. This is quite expensive at $38.90 for a T-Bone steak and salad, bread roll and a baked potato with chilli gravy. If you want to charge these prices you have to maintain the product, including a big baked potato. The atmosphere is beautiful, but I expect a good meal for that price. I can go to the Boundary Hotel in West End and get a steak and saladand a glass of wine for $ 12.00.

Very busy on a Friday night, had to wait in line for drinks and food. I had the pork ribs which was really tasty, it was tender and flavoursome and not too salty. It took a while for food to come out but everyone was happy with their meal
