Good pub grub when u don't want to cook 😉 It's one of my local pubs and has a great, pretty chilled atmosphere. All your usuals like pokies, sports bar and place to go for a pretty good meal n drink of choice. With a selection of old-school aussie pub favourites like chicken parmy, steak chips n salad (or opt for an eye fillet 🤤). There is pasta, 🐟 🍟 n calamari, and they offer senior meal deals and ones for the kids ! There are a few ???- pretty healthy meal options to choose from and consistently enjoyable. Thanks to all the staff, great friendly service excellence ??'?

We held our sons 21st Birthday Party at the Aussie Nash. Fabulous venue and amazing staff. On the night the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Food was great and the room also a great spot for a large group. Barry, Nikki and the team were very helpful and understood what we wanted on the night.

Thank you guys for making Jack's 21st birthday a huge success.

Would've been 5 stars had Quinne (name badge) served us from start to finish, however, we (group of 3) came in yesterday for a late lunch and was served by the other big guy who lacks customer service skills and made us feel like we were an inconvenience or aliens that popped in to earth for a quick visit. Yet his communication skills with his colleagues was 5 star! Teach him to give the same energy to those of us who PAY HIS WAGES! Would I visit again? Yes, purely because Quinne was super friendly, the chef was helpful and the female staff was chatty even though she was on her lunch break.

Recently held a party in the upstairs function room, The National Secret. Functions team were amazing when assisting with the organising / planning. Allowing access to the venue prior to the event, providing decor as well as allowing us to bring our own. Patiently answering my 1000 questions.
On the night, the bar staff were awesome - attentive, polite, assisting with anything we needed. Also, agreeing to stay a little later so we could continue to enjoy ourselves.
The platters of food were delicious, with great options and incredibly accommodating with multiple and unusual dietary requirements.
I had many compliments from my guests on the venue aesthetic, ambience, staff and food.
The minimum spend was incredibly reasonable, particularly for the space.
Would def host another party there and totally recommend it!

Stopped in with a couple mates after some city bike riding to grab a quick feed. We were greeted by all staff on our way in, and found a seat that was perfect for us. 2 of us got a beer, the third wasn't allowed one yet (licensing reasons) so he didn't actually get any drink. The server noticed this and brought over a cup of icy water. WITHOUT BEING ASKED! This was a new experience for us (we try new pubs and tavs pretty often) and we absolutely loved it! But it gets better.. the music was up to date enough for people of all age groups to still enjoy it, and wasn't loud, was quiet. Just perfect. AND THEN, another couple walked in. They got some drinks, grabbed a seat and had asked to change the channel on one of the TV's.. the same server who helped us seen absolutely no problem with this and just grabbed the remote and found a channel for them they wanted to watch. Didn't need to run off and do 4 other things first or anything, just got it sorted and got back to what needed to be done behind the bar.

We received our food, and it would be hard to top it.. we had garlic bread, which was hot (not over the top hot) and soft, not crunchy and hard. We got 2 stake sangas which were amazing! The egg just running out the side looked great, even down to the chips that tasted awesome! We also had the graziers beef pie. I have this pie religiously when we go to alh pubs, and this one was great! The potato was super soft and creamy, gravy actually had nice flavour and wasn't super watered down, and the pastry was nice and crunchy where it needed to be! Sometime at other places they are microwaved and just bleh..

AND THEN even after everything that we thought already was amazing, we actually got thanked for coming in.. this is a place we would go out of our way to go to. We are all sunshine coast locals and we would ride down just for a feed at this place.. highly recommend. Great food, great vibe, great service, Can't beat it!!

I recently held my 21st birthday party at this venue and it was such a wonderful night !! The upstairs function room is spacious and comfortable, there were booths for guests to relax in, a dance floor and also a large projector, which made the venue perfect for running games and having speeches/ presentations.

Many guests made comments about how the venue was perfect for the occasion, and how delightful the food was.

Karly did such a wonderful job at helping me organise this event, and Aaron, Torrin and Nikki's service on the night is praiseworthy.

If you are looking for an affordable and beautiful venue space for your event or 21st, I highly recommend you check out Aussie Nash!! :)

Had pre and post game drinks at this place on Saturday night... great vibes and a Chiled place to get a drink. Service took a very long time and from my assumption the staffed seemed to be very run off thier feet or maybe even understaffed. Although when I was finally served it was friendly and with a smile and security should spend thier time securing the place and not tuning the employees and patrons.

It's a bit hit and miss.

The food specials can be good, and meals are pretty well priced. I also appreciate that it's a decent sports bar with lots of teles displaying all different sports.

However sometimes it gives off a bit of a seedy old pokies den vibe.

Sadly Brisbane is lacking in nice suburban pubs. This is one of the better ones, but still not amazing

Been there twice this week at 3:30am and they have closed already so BS advertising they are open till 4am everyday get rid of the false signage outside people or actually stay open till 4am. Apart from this I would of given them 5 stars as food/venue/staff/location are just that just pity the false advertisement about gaming hours outside.

We all know the Aussie Nat is a legendary venue.
However it has over the years become nothing more than a support for Dan Murphy's and TAB. Guess that's where the money is.
However last night we dropped in for a game of Pool. $3.00 for a game to play on a table which is leveled with drink coasters, ripped felt table, no lights, no chalk re you serious.
That's just my gripe on the Pool table, don't wanna start on the "food".

The Aussie Nash is a decent pub very closely located to the Gabba. Food was reasonably priced, enjoyed my Steak Sandwich.

The food here was THE worst tavern food I have had in my entire life, without doubt. It was completely inedible and I wouldn't serve it to a dog. I ordered pasta without any mention of chilli, and my mouth is on fire 30 minutes later, when there was zero mention of chilli on the menu.

FOOD & DRINK
The Aussie Nash is part of the A.L.H. Group of Hotels, whose stable includes the Royal Exchange Hotel, the Brunswick, the Newstead, the Indooroopilly, Newmarket and many others in and around Brisbane. We've been to most of them and have never failed to be impressed by the high standard of food, service and hygiene. The A.N. was no exception. My wife and I dined on a quiet Saturday night in November. We kept the ordering protocol fairly simple: a schooner of Great Northern Super Crisp for me and a lemon, lime and bitters for my wife, followed by two main meals, the senior steak with chips, salad and pepper sauce ($19) and the Buddha bowl with lemon and pepper flavoured calamari for my wife ($28). My steak was well cooked to perfection, just the way I like it, but still tender and full of flavour. The crispy chips and nutritious salad made the perfect accompaniment. The Buddha bowl had rice, seaweed, avocado, cucumber, tomato, vegetables and lettuce, and topped with a soy and sesame dressing. All the ingredients were fresh, tasty and wholesome. Adding the calamari was a genius move to give it an extra zing and lift. We ended with our fav sticky date pud at 10 pesos. The pud was sweet and moist, covered with a syrupy butterscotch sauce, and sprinkled with a few drops of castor sugar. All meals were nicely presented to the table on stylish and colourful crockery.

AMBIENCE
The A.N. is airy, spacious and homely, with plenty of room to stretch out and get comfortable. Outside the bistro is the billiards area, and there's also a pub and a poker machine room, so there are many different spaces here to enjoy. We stuck to the bistro area. The decor is retro industrial style, with high ceilings, strong lighting, wood and steel furniture and carpets throughout. This all works beautifully to create an inviting, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Being a quiet night, there was only a smattering of other guests, but that didn't detract from the overall cool ambience. Acoustics were good and we were easily able to converse.

SERVICE
It was a breeze to order using the app. You simply scan the little barcode that's attached to a disc on your table, and place your order. Payment is done immediately, and you'll receive an email of your bill. This simplifies the whole procedure, although only afterwards did I notice that seniors are entitled to 20% discount off regular menu items, but of course the app didn't recognise that, so we lost out. After completing the ordering, meals were brought out to the table pretty quickly by a super nice young man, neatly turned out in a smart black uniform. He was polite, friendly and attentive, and in his capable hands, everything ran smoothly from beginning to end, and that's just how we like it!

COST
All up, for a schooner of Great Northern, a cold drink, two main meals and a single dessert we paid 70 pesos, so thank you to the A.L.H. Group for at least providing some financial relief to hard-pressed senior citizens. This at least is an affordable evening out for us, and it's worth mentioning here, that most of the A.L.H. group hotels that we've visited have seniors menus and modest prices for both food and drink.

TOILETS
Toilets are behind the bistro. There are ample male and female cubicles, and they're clean and well provisioned, although I did notice some graffiti in the male toilet.

PARKING
There's easy parking right outside, in the venue's own car park, which it shares with the popular and well-stocked Dan Murphy liquor store. This makes it extra convenient, especially if you're still thirsty after your meal, as you can always pop into D.M. to top up the beer or wine cellar.

SUMMARY
We love the A.L.H. Hotel Group and have had positive experiences at all their hotels. They have consistently high standards, with reasonable prices to match. The Aust Nash as it is affectionately called, now goes on our list of favourites for a return visit. With great food and service, modest prices, a relaxed ambience, clean toilets and easy parking, you have all the ingredients for a perfect night out.

The Aussie Nash is a big pub with varied clientele. A big function room upstairs is great for work or networking groups of 20-40 or more. It's a bit of a trek to find your way there from the entrance. The pub is a bit rough around the edges, but it's all part of the charm. Parking for functions can be tricky. Spots fill up quickly as lunch time approaches. Since many spots are taken by shoppers in the Dan Murphy's, it pays to hang around for a bit and a parking space will come available.

i love their pub most specially their steak - THAT WAS A YEAR AGO. I dont know what happened, now their steak is too dry and tastes different. It wasn't like this before. Also, i've noticed they no longer have the chicken buffalo that i usually liked. Said they changed their menu. Well, change is good but sadly, it isnt this time.

This is a good bar. There is a great (and clean) pool table with good pool cues, a load of gambling options and a fair selection of drinks. They have good priced drink specials like a pint for $6 and the staff seem very nice and helpful.
Very good location, especially if you're coming or going to the Gabba.
They have daily meal deals, however I was a bit disappointed with the food. Our meals came out at different times and it didn't seem the best of quality (think it was a frozen burger).

An iconic pub across the road from the Gabba. Good meals. Cold beer and plenty of TV screens for the sports fan. Has the discount bottle store Dan Murphy's attached.
