We had a family gathering here and practically everyone ordered steak - rib fillet, Wagyu, fillet mignon and porterhouse. Someone was heard saying "I didn't expect it to be this pleasant".

The sign claims they serve Brisbane's best steaks. The group consensus was that 'best' is a very big call, but they were very good steaks. One of the highlights was the double-baked potatoes. When ordering a steak there is a choice of hot chips or double-baked potatoes.

Personally, I tried the battered fish and chips. It was tasty and a generous serve. The salad it came with was lovely - greens, shredded veggies and a sweet tangy vinaigrette.

The staff were friendly and helpful. There was only one glitch which happened at the bar. After ordering 5 or 6 drinks, I asked for a tray to carry them all. The guy grabbed a dirty tray out of the sink, shook it, and handed it over with crumbs and all. It was easier to make two trips.

The decor has many vintage nudes and bare bottoms all around, so I skipped the photos of those. You will have to check those out for yourself 😆.

I've never had such a georgous steak. It was so juicy and had a rich frevour. My family were really happy there. I will definitely come back when I return to Brisbane. The margherita pizza was also really delicious. And most of all, I was deeply moved by how friendly the server was.

Absolutely delicious dinner the eye fillet was perfect kudos to the chef. Paul was a fantastic server and so attentive. Surprisingly child friendly! Michael (I hope the correct name) was also a fabulous help. Great service all round. Such a lovely way to celebrate mums 60th.

One of the best spots in South East Queensland to grab a steak. In terms of a consistency this place rates highly; I think the only average steak I experienced here was when there was a broncos and lions game on the same night, so the pub was flat strapped.

Given it's not a huge establishment, I'd suggest to book.

Haven't been a steak eater for too long but wow, this is the best one I've had. I asked for medium rare but it came out closer to well done, I asked the waiter what he thought since I'm not super knowledgeable, he agreed. Very quickly I was re-served with a beautiful medium rare steak. Absolutely delicious! Fantastic service, scrumptious salad too! I'll be back 100%. My only regret was eating too much but it was too nice to stop myself 😂

Waited over an hour for our food. The rest of our party's food and drinks came 20mins earlier than ours, even though we ordered first, and we still had to follow up twice with the wait staff for our food and drinks.

When the food finally arrived, my steak was well done and dry, even though I ordered a medium rare (it also had the medium cook stick) and it was cold.

I also asked the wait staff for another set of cutlery, but they never came back. I had to get another set from the other side of the bar

The Morrison Hotel has always held a special place in my heart, especially from my younger days. It remains a nice choice for a lovely family lunch. On the day we visited, we were treated to some live music, which added to the delightful atmosphere of the community enjoying themselves. While I still have a soft spot for their mushroom sauce, I must admit that the food and service didn't quite live up to the high standards I remember. But then again, perhaps it's just me, as memories have a way of making things seem even better.

Morrison's is good.

When I get recommended a place by this particular friend, I know I'm in for a good time. The food did not disappoint! I'm the type of dude that loves cooking steak in a very particular way but my friend has a way with words, got me to order it and I'm giving this place a glowing review. The best part was the delightful mushroom sauce. The symphony of flavour combined with the texture and moisture, meant that the chicken schnitzel dish, that I think normally would be gobbled up quickly, was overshadowed.
Overall, great place to go. Keen to try the wings next time. Also, inside Morrison's, had excellent atmosphere, it was bustling.

Best steak I have had in years. Cooked perfectly medium rare, red wine jus was on point. Service was quick. Highly recommended.

I've been coming here for year's... Literally.

Lately I've noticed that the quality of food has dipped and the portion sizes have shrunk. With inflammation running rampant, I get it... However, it doesn't make the memory of what this place used to be, compared to where it seems to be heading any easier to accept.
Just a sign of the times I suppose.

Great steak worth the wait of 40+ mins though could pair up more waiters and waitresses as we are seeing our meal on serving deck for about 10 mins before serving.

Loved our visit here today. We kept driving past on the motorway and finally decided to stop in for lunch with the kids. Steals we're great. Staff friendly and helpful. Even my demon 14 year old who doesn't like anything loved his steak.

The chicken wings are the best I have ever had. The wings have just the right amount of chilli - heat.
Price is $17 for 500g or $24 for 1kg as pictured.

The best steak ever. Not only the steaks but also all the food, everything was perfect. Lovely staffs too! They were all friendly and kind. We will definitely come back again.

My favourite go to steak restaurant. Have been coming here for more than 10 years, the quality is fantastic. Tender steaks with delicious sauces (my favourite is the mushroom sauce). The side salads is also very tasted. Great restaurant layout, very clean. The staff are very kind and attentive.

Large area, they also cater for engagement parties. High recommended!

Got sat out in the public bar on a Monday night, which has the atmosphere of a funeral home. Decided to go with some seafood instead of steak and the risotto was really nice. Good balance of fresh seafood (needed it for $38 though) and a really nice lemon finish to it, one of the better risottos I've had for a while.

First try of tomatoes oysters The wagyu steak was awesome. The service crew were nice and attentive to my needs as well, asking if I need any other thing sharing plates. Enjoyable dinner experience. Will pay another visit next time

I would say quality of food is average. Came on a Friday night with a big group of friends. Waited 30-35 minutes for mains to be served but one of the server seems like she was guessing which steak is which 😅. She said "rump?" Then when a friend asked "which one is eye fillet?" - she then pointed at the same steak, and claimed it as eye fillet. (Which definitely was rump btw 😅)

The other servers (ones that were serving drinks) was lovely!

Best steak place in Brisbane, and the whisky menu.. You have around 100+ bottles to chose from. Australian, Japanese, Scotland.. All the greats plus many more you haven't tried.

About 7 different bottles of kavalan to sample too.

The portion was huge! The steak was a bit dry tho even I had medium rare wagyu and my boyfriend had rare one. It's still a good experience overall.

Couldn't believe a restaurant could be this bad out of 5 steaks not one was cooked correctly & tough. When asked about steak they offered to cook the rare ones more I thought she was joking & when I asked about replacing she said check with manager after my complaint was given a round of drinks what will never be back Waited 30mins for 3 drinks which was three all bottled beer
I have many more complaints about my experience but unfortunately I have to stop because my Mothers Saturday night birthday dinner terrible

7 STARS... I hadn't been to The Morrison in years and had low expectations however everything was AMAZING... the service was excellent and the food and drinks were excellent... the best feed I have had in a long time... there were 3 of us and there were so many great things on the menu we decided to share 5 or 6 items... the garlic pizza was the best I have ever had and I have had a lot all over the world... the wood over fried camembert was out of this world... I can't wait to go back!

I am giving a 4 because I cannot fault the great service and drinks. Michael who looked after us was lovely and the drinks where nice. My only issue was that my medium rare steak was rather well done burnt and dry. I only ate it because I was hungry and did not want to wait longer for another one. I would go back for the cocktails and Michael with the nice eyes and good service.

Friendly and welcoming staff, Amazing steaks, great portion size and good menu variety.
Can get busy do make a booking.

I was introduced to Fiasco's about 7 years ago now and I've been a frequent diner since. But it's not the steaks that have me coming back.. It's the sauce! The mushroom sauce is divine. Sure I can make it at home, but it's just not the same. Service is good, wait times can be quite busy during busy dinner periods and the steaks can be hit or miss in terms of being cooked to the right rareness. Overall I do enjoy dining at Fiasco's and I'll keep coming back for that sauce.

Edit: I've been back a few more times since this review and I'm disappointed to say the least. Service is still good and the sauce is always glorious. But the quality of steaks and how they are cooked have declined. If you're paying top dollar for a "premium cut" then you expect quality. I recently visited and ordered a MEDIUM cooked steak and look at how it was cooked. This isn't the only time, previous visits have been the same quality. Steaks have been dry and don't have that juiciness or flavour like they used to.

Busy for a Monday night. Steak chips and salad good, can't really muck that up. Chicken artichoke risotto was dry, allegedly because it's made with white wine. My white wine risotto comes out creamy, must be making it wrong. Honey baked brie was tasty. My meal was good, beer cold, plus a flutter on Keno makes it all good.

Best steak in the city! The service is always great, but tonight Amy's service stood out as exceptional! Thank you Amy for making the dinner for our daughter's 23rd birthday so good

Well, after eating here for over 15 years. I think the time has come to an end and look for another steak house. It's been twice now that I've eaten here and the food is just under average. Their mushroom sauce is so bland now and the steaks aren't cooked to our request. Maybe new chefs? Maybe new ingredients? I don't know. We don't want to make any fuss with the waiters and complain to them as they were doing a great job at servicing our table.

It's just sad as I've always recommended a lot of friends and family to come here. I'll be too embarrassed now to recommend.

Thank you for all the years you guys have made it right for me & my family. But I guess all good things always do come to an end and all the best in the future.

One of the best steakhouse in my opinion! The foods are very good and the service is good. The only downside, though, is the place that feels like a bit ran down. Anyway, I'd highly recommend this place to enjoy some delicious steaks!

Haven't been here for a while mostly was in main bar area and dining area out back. The place is probably in need of a bit of a refresh as its looking a little tired. Apart from that food was good and steak was very nice. Service was very good. Only other comment would if your into beer its doesn't have the multitude of beer choices that other venues have but enough that you wont go thirsty.

Great place. I enjoyed my friends meeting there. Their food is amazing. At bit crowded and noisy at some times which also drops their customer service. Much better if you book your meeting. However, do not go to the restrooms, you can lost your appetite. It is incredible how dirty and messy can be some customers. However, you need to pay attention to the restrooms.

We went in group of 3, all into Eye Fillet, the service was as fantastic as usual, the steaks were burnt and poor quality, garden salad were plan, sauces with too much flour and boring, not to mention pepper sauce, even the famous mushroom sauce lost it's character... disappointed.I noticed many customers have similar experiences like ours in those reviews, unfortunately, the usual answers were "this issue will be pass on to the chef"... obviously it's been like this for a while...Just need to try your luck to get the right chef at the right time is how I feel now, pretty sure I rather try other places from now on

Very happy with all. Service exquisite and food delicious.We came to celebrate our sons birthday , staff were kind enough to bring out cake singing along .Recommended visiting from my son was not wrong .Keep up the good work guys especially the food . Thumbs up

The staff were really friendly and the service was quick at peak hour on a Friday night. We ordered a variety of food and it all turned out fantastic. I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking for a great night out!
