I'm very surprised that this place has good reviews. The food is pretty good, but the atmosphere is not. I've been in a few times out of convenience, and every single time, the guy who runs the place has been screaming and swearing at customers. I even thought he was going to lunge at one woman while he was calling her degrading names. It was honestly disgusting, and made for a very awkward experience.

Bloke who was managing bar was a legend. Very friendly and accommodating. Came in with kids before football game, very appreciated

An easy review. We drove down from Hervey Bay today and after we had checked in and done a few other things we were dog tired & not up to venturing far from our room at the Gabba Central Apartments. Well this pub is handily located within the Gabba Apartments precinct. We really weren't expecting much but found great food & hospitality at very reasonable prices. Special mention to Darcy who was tending the bar & waiting tables. Thank you for your kind service.

Chicken schnitzel was beautiful! So tender, moist with lovely flavour! They make their own, definitely great choice.

I have been here before for a parmy and it was more than decent so it was my intention to do it again. But it was Thursday night with burgers $5 off, so I went for the Wooly burger. The food comes quickly here and it came bursting at its seams with a wire basket of fries The burger pattie was of generous size and done medium like a steak that is still a little pinkish in the middle. What set it off was a killer tomato and onion salsa, so that whole burger was the bomb. The fries were crispy but still soft and white in the centre. Wow, $10 for a primo burger mit dem fries. I'll be doing that again, to be sure.

Chef must be having a bad day! Main course of calamari was 10 small pieces along with minimal chips.
Staff member was grumpy when I complained.
The venue has a captive market but struggle with customer service and value of money for food supplied.

Wife and I had a few drinks with 5 young adults (19-24) after a great meal at Frankies Smokehouse near by. It was fine and Wife and I ubered home after a couple drinks.
Apparently the rest were advised that there were other places they could drink at in stead. They weren't being noisy or unruly. It was barely 8pm on a Saturday night. Maybe they don't like customers. There was barely a handful there when we left. We recommended the place and felt embarrassed that we did.

Best burger I've ever had at a pub, hands down.
Friendly, quick and straightforward service. Wife also got a great and decent sized parmi.

Had the best 250gm med/rare rump steak, 10/10. I'm a really fussy eater but was amazed at the quality of the food. I would have paid double for that. Delish, get around em folks!!!!

Steak was better than expected and pretty good value as well.

How did this place get a gaming licence. It's comical. Like 10 machines? And it has peaked at $23,500 and not even coming down at all. Lame and terribly bad.

Not gonna lie , the scenery and the environment around is amazing however its the room that did your hotel dirty find a better maintenance crew cause broke stuff just leads to more mess and you dnt want that fungus or mold growing anybigger from that ceiling

Food and drink were pretty decent and decently priced, but service from Anna was very bad! Rude to me and everyone I was with. Confused to see a positive review for her below, she seemed like she was going to spit in my food from the first second I spoke to her. A nice convenient location but I'll be avoiding the pub if the service is so up and down :(

Got a Chicken Schnitzel for $20, absolute garbage. Veggies I'm pretty sure were from a McCain's frozen vegies pack or something, not fresh at all. The mash was clumpy and dry, not enough butter and/or milk was used. And the Chicken Schnitzel itself was scalding hot!

Honestly this meal was probably worth $10 if I'm being generous. Go to German Club you get a Schnitty there for $27 and its bloody epic. Don't waste your money in this substandard establishment.

We where served by Tim who had disgraceful and incompetent service he was very rude and arrogant and failed to complete our orders correctly. food was not good, we want a refund but we know we won't get one. We are very upset and had to order a pizza wouldn't recommend.

Overpriced beer - $8.60 for tooheys new in a plastic cup - 375ml

Ordered Nachos - $15 - 55 minutes to arrive after chasing up the manager and get a brunch of corn chips, sour cream a couple of kidney beans with a couple of the chips having melted cheese on them.

I won't be heading here again as there's plenty of other options in the area

Great food, I was happy to see Nepalese curry with rice in this Brisbane pub. Thank you for adding that in the menu. Kind of expensive for that but yes to the authenticity it had. I loved the chicken schnitzel with fries and salad at the side. Its quantity and quality both were nice. I will surely be there when I visit QLD next time.

Had a couple of parmis today and they were so good! Came out hot, cooked all the way through but not dry. Great friendly casual service. Will definitely be back :)

Awesome food and awesome staff and great environment to sit with friends and have a chat and a couple of ales. Am a regular at this hotel. Never disappointed.
