Went for a Tuesday night so I didn't expect the vibes to be huge. But very disappointed when we went for the $15 burger deal + $5 schooner as advertised on the website. Turns out that is no longer available allegedly due to "new menu" and was charged the full price of $32 which is still outrageously overpriced for a standard chicken burger. Might I suggest an update on the website to ensure current deals ?

Great service but the new food menu is very overpriced and disappointing. Paying $19 and getting more lettuce than popcorn cauliflower might be one of the most depressing experiences of my life. The photo attached is the entire serving. Won't be ordering food here again.

The Wickham is fantastic! Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Wagyu burger was perfect, and the chips were divine. Drinks were reasonably priced too. Highly recommend!

Shared a meal with two friends on Saturday night. Went early(5:30pm) to ensure early dinner and sat out in the Garden Bar, which filled up quickly after 8pm.
A male soloist entertained us for a couple of hours & his was very good.
Food ordered and ate... everyone happy.
Drag show started at approx 10pm...very good.
Had a great night overall. Would definitely recommend this venue.

I got to go back to my FAVE current Brisvegas Queer (much faster than typing every letter) Hotel on Monday 18 March 2024. I LOVED it as much as I used to when I came back more often to the city in which I grew up. It's a divine venue. I organised a pub crawl for local history enthusiasts and we were warmly welcomed by Betty. Not only was she friendly and full of information about the building, she even went to the trouble of showing us a trap door in the floor that led to an underground storage place. We were not allowed down there for safety reasons, but we greatly appreciated her taking the time to share this fascinating aspect the hotels history with us. Am looking forward to returning and leaning more about the place. Betty is truly wonderful.

Ordered a chicken schnitzel and a beef burger. The schnitzel was rubbery, almost like when you bite into chicken and double check to see it's cooked, weird texture and tasted strange. Beef burger was good. Nice atmosphere, service was great.

Only been the once and the service was pretty average from the bar. The food service was fine though.

The beer garden looked good and the general feel is quite good.

Open to all and everyone but obviously has a speciality customer base but in no way did this vibe make anyone uncomfortable.

And yes, in this era I was trying to make the point without offending anyone!

Went there for a bite to eat last night. Pizza was bland and flavourless and there was very little on it! It's like he missed the entire pizza with toppings! For the price , this is NOT an example of LESS IS MORE! The cheeseburger just forget about that!! the meat was that cheap sausage, patty type tasting , and so thick, you could hardly chew. It let alone cut it. very disappointing!! On the plus side the customer service was great. However the music bingo guy was absolutely terrible. His microphone was way too loud and the music Was way too soft. Please, Mate find a middle voice and balance the music with your voice! It is the second time I've eaten there. The first time was reasonable. But this is not great pub food. Overall spent the night with massive indigestion, unable to sleep. Please reconsider when wanting to eat here.! The drag queens were great! Loved them!

Last weekend, I took my partner there for a night out and we were both impressed by the hotel's atmosphere, entertainment and service. The downstairs outside area had a lovely open space with a stage where we enjoyed some high quality drag shows. My partner, who is from Melbourne, was amazed by the talent and diversity of the performers. The upstairs area had a smoking section and a dancefloor where we had a lot of fun. The best part was the friendly and helpful staff, especially the lady at the bar upstairs who explained to us how the lockout laws worked in Brisbane. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and informed. The Wickham Hotel is a gem in the Brisbane queer scene and I highly recommend it to locals and visitors alike. It has some of the nicest people you will ever meet there!

Went here on a comedy night and had a blast! The food was great and fresh, though the ploughman's could do with a little more cheese variety. There was also a decent amount of gluten free options for my coeliac folk! Service was phenomenal, lovely lovely staff there. Thank you for providing a great night!

Why are you drinking there on a Friday night? They routinely ask you to pay a cover charge. Why are you already at the venue to watch some sort of drug show? Great pub. Trivia on Thursday is good fun. We like the outdoor area.

Disappointed to see pokies in this venue so that will be in the con list next time we're deciding whether to head here or somewhere else.

Love the Glow Up the old girl has gotten!

The beer garden/stage area looks great. Gone is the beaten up low stage we have known for years, and a properly built up raised one with lighting and audio built-in has appeared in its place.

Also the moving of the stage from the north wall to the west one is I think a much better use of the space and will allow for easier audience viewing.

Had a great time at the reopening party. Looking forward to making The Wickham my queer home again 😊

We just want to take a moment to thank our waiter Army and waitress Grace for their exceptional service. The dining experience is great because of them! However, I must express my disappointment with the bartender's service, the drinks were poorly made, and when I mentioned it, he seemed disinterested and unresponsive.
The bartenders were unengaged with customers, we spent just over two hours at the Wickham, we hope this feedback can be taken into consideration to improve the service for future customers.

I went on a Saturday night,the 3 women behind the bar were more interested in talking to eachother than serving me. I stayed long enough to know I won't be returning. It was boring, quiet and the few customers that turned up either hassled me or left for the same reason. Very disappointed.

Was an awesome setting, had some beers in the afternoon before we had dinner. Service great and Staff were amazing, especially Jake, whom tended on us the majority of the time. Overall a good atmosphere, will definitely be back.

Took husband and son there for afternoon refreshments on Sunday. A really nice place and I must say, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was great and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The staff though, both floor staff and wait staff were so great and made you feel welcome and want to go back. We stuffed up numerous times on the self ordering app but the manager was great (thanks ! Alex!)

It's our home away from home. Staff are delightful AF. Love Trivia & Balls Out Bingo. Rockin concert venue & just great for catching up with mates to unwind after work... The Wickham is hands down my fave Brizzy Venue.

The Wick is my favourite place, it has the great vibe of a nightclub on the weekends, and a great place for casual drinks during the week! Also who could forget the Drag Queens! Vollie and Friends on a Wednesday is my favourite!

Staff are super friendly. Having had a chance to talk to the staff, everyone is super friendly. I got the chance to talk to Tegan behind the bar one night, and she was super friendly, and was telling about all the great events coming up, which makes me excited to keep coming back!

Bit cold out and no heaters! Not sure whether they couldn't afford gas or whatever but had to finish my beer inside - still cold inside. Pool table out of order (again), drink prices too high. Sorry but be better.

Come here once a week for lunch and always happy with the food and the service. Good range of standard pub food at decent prices. My favourite is the hotdog 🌭 and fries 🍟 ...as you can see from the photos, but the chicken schnitzel Burger is great too (ask for it with cheese!). This is a great place for any occasion. It's a great place where you can socialise and have a dance, or enjoy a drink. The Wickham is a safe place as well where you can meet new people, relax and check out the shows.
The drag shows are full of life, emotion and sometimes laughter, they are hosted by local big drag personas. The drag queens love a photo, and don't forget to buy them a drink if you get to talk to them.
The Wickham also host a trivia night, the host running the show is welcoming and entertaining, he interacts with the guest and keeps them engaged. This is a great night out during the week to break the work week or to have a little escape from the norm.
The environment is very comfortable and casual, there is a feeling of being welcomed no matter your orientation, background etc.
The team is friendly and respectful of all patrons. They are always going above and beyond for the customer.
The menu has a variety of great options, it is casual yet very tasty and good value, the portions are a good size as well.
I recommend the tacos, they are very delicious, on fresh tortillas.

I did like this place. But with all the changes that have come along my review has changed. The food menu was great but now it seems like they got rid of a lot of good menu options like loaded fries. The food quality has also gone done. the venue have so many functions on once I couldn't really go there without paying to get in. They seem to run out of wine a lot and for the amount of money they charge on drinks and food I can go to an upmarket venue and spend the same amount with better service and food.
