I was extremely disappointed and offended during my visit to the Empire Hotel. Seeing a mockery of "The Last Supper" displayed in such a disrespectful manner was absolutely disgusting. It is appalling to witness a sacred symbol of Christianity treated with such blatant disregard. This level of insensitivity is unacceptable, and I urge the management to reconsider their choice of decor. As a Christian, I cannot support or recommend a place that shows such disrespect to my faith.

I haven't tried their food but their drinks are always a great choice. Good prices and nice specials & happy hours.

Only downside is that guys constantly walk into the ladies restroom despite signage.

Great atmosphere, good food and nice music mix, brilliant range of beers, can't beet the happy hour 5-7pm daily, also chicken parmy special on a Tuesday night is awesome and wont be beated in the "Valley". Great friendly staff too.

Great big pub / bar at the top of the valley on Brunswick Street and Anne. A big airy and spacious spot for a drink or meal, but sometimes a packed in spot with a ton of people in there. Met up and had a drink here and enjoyed relaxing on the larger tables with the bank seating around them. Free pool on Sundays

Do not go to this terrible bar! Staff treat you like a number and want to do as little as possible. Also, we stay at the hostel they have a deal with and are supposed to get 25% off every order. I order drinks and food 5 times and show my card each time to prove I belong to the hostel. On orders 6 and 7, I forget to show it. Because of this, they make me pay the full amount. They could have at least asked for my card besides just remembering. What terrible service. They do everything to rip you off. Big guy behind the bar and woman with a piercing behind the bar. Shame on you! And especially when all of us are spending money here all evening! At least $80 per person. 7 persons. I've been working in a place like this for years, but if I were the boss, I would have fired you immediately!

Great bartender! He made special cockail for me saying that he will surprise me, and it was the best cocktail i've ever tested. If you stay in bunk brisbane you should check this bar out!

Fantastic friendly service! Reasonably priced drinks. My favourite addition to a pub.....pool tables!! Not a huge fan of the beer selection but all the usual spirit options are available. Hands down one of the best pubs in the valley.

Terrible management by their security guards. Kicking people out the second they walk out the door despite the fact they're helping their loved ones get a lift home. Absolute lack of empathy or understanding by a bald security guard allegedly by the name of rob. Very poor management

Chicken parmy was well portioned, price was good too. Salad and chips were good, chicken was a little burnt and not on par with some other places. I have high standards for chicken parmy though and most should be satisfied with the one served at the empire.
Staff were friendly, the place was empty at 2pm on a Saturday. They turned the music up really loud for a bit which made it hard to talk and seemed very inappropriate for the day time.
All that said you could do far worse, if you're hungry you will walk away satisfied.

Went for a farewell gathering most definitely reasonably priced meals and $10 jugs of beer 🤯🥳. It was on one specific beer but still $10 staff were accommodating and friendly. I hadn't been there in years but will definitely look at going back again soon.

Some great beers on tap, including a few from Valley Hops, which is located on the rooftop right nextdoor. Sauce on the wings was good, and the blue cheese sauce was great but I'm not a fan of crumbed wings. They're lunch specials are hard to beat though!

Really nice bar, great happy hour deals. Pool tables are old and tired, but the welcome was warm and friendly.

Very nice ambiance, the pub had live music playing popular songs.
Their Cosmopolitans were really good, there's a smoking area, the bathrooms are beautiful and very clean and the pub is connected to another bar and dance floor where we had a lot of fun.

Had a rude bartender who purposely slammed down the two beers I ordered on the corner so that part of both would spill out. He didn't like that I raised my hand slightly to greet him and told me as such. Otherwise a great place to go as a group for drinks and good vibes, and the staff are great

Probably one of the nicest cleanest dive bars around. Cheap happy hours, pool tables and tunes that will take you back in time. Always a pleasure. Every now and then you may have a run in with some riff raff, but given it's peak valley location it's to be expected. Food menu could use a little work. Other than that a great place to chill on a week night or let your hair down on a weekend.

Alright it has a great atmosphere, energy, and drinks but 10 times outta 10 the thick and rich gravy is starting to actually get thicker.... although menu changed and 90% of what I loved is gone

The happy hour is ridiculously good value, $5 for all the taps plus these are actually great beers. Also for bar/pub food it's great value and much better quality than you would expect. Music is also a 10. Great casual spot in the valley

A great place to meet with friends, beers are cheap and food is delicious, but that white lady at the counter, you might need to be polite and careful to customers, I don't want to link my uncomfortable experience with racism, so I assume you are not in a happy mood

Had the lunch special Cuban. $16 for a burger, fries and a schooey, bloody awesome. Had a Strawberry and rhubarb sour pint as well. Great staff, great venue, great price. Must go!

During the week this is a nice place to catch up for a meal over some drinks. Generous sized booths with an olde world /industrial charm, pool tables, meals and a great selection of drinks. An eclectic mix of people add to the unique ambience of the place. Service is always a little on the slow side so if you're into snappy service you may not enjoy the relaxed pace of the place. On weekends this place is pretty lively with a Gen Y crowd.

The bath/shower VERY dangerous an accident waiting to happen. Toilet so old. Dirt behind doors and under vanity. Comfortable bed big room . No microwave but the view and location was great. Just bathroom so outdated.

After being long term patrons of the $3 dollar steaks on a Sunday, we were a bit dubious about the new Asian inspired menu, well let me tell you, it was nothing short of spectacular, I'm a chef by trade but it was the most amazing fried rice of EVER had, the Singapore chicken was superb, the sweet n sour pork ( not deep fried with 2 kg of batter) was excellent, I had the Parmy which I expected to be ordinary because of the Asian menu but was blown away with how well it was cooked, all in all we were planning our next visit, give these guys a visit, the food was top shelf

First time in Hervey Bay, stayed the night, accommodation was not great the building was old the insides need updating, it was clean and comfortable. The food at the pub which was connected to the accommodation was not very nice, the games room with pool tables and pin ball machines was great but needs a make over. The poker machine room was good. We had a alright night but we wont be going back. It would be a great place if they upgraded the whole place inside and out.

Lunch was excellent with a variety to choose from. Sparkling wine by a generous glass

Had a meal in the beer garden area. Best steak I have had in ages. Beautifully cooked. Meal and drink service great.
