This is not a classy gastro pub, it's just a big Valley pub for a boozy night out. Perfect for drink specials, the pokies, and an awesome steak sanga. Karaoke and live bands happening too. Staff are always super friendly. Everything is in different rooms / areas so if you're old like me and don't always want the loud DJs and bands, you can get away from it all
Fun Fact: if you're there at the right time the pokies has free pizza and snacks for players. The mini spring rolls they put out are perfect.

Honestly, I have come a lot of times to RGs. Would have to rate highly, staff are great, many different rooms to go to! Always busy and usually has live music.
People are super chill, you can be yourself and super casual. Always a great place to go to! Thanks for the great times

We had the Thursday meal special which was BBQ Ribs, Coleslaw and Baked Potato for $18. It was so good! We ordered, served and finished our meal within 30 minutes. Highly recommend.

Disgusting customer service from the manager and bar staff.

I unfortunately had a verbal altercation with a friend AFTER my partner was asked to leave and I was injured trying to leave the venue.
Instead of offering any water and asking us to leave calmly, the bar staff insulted and degraded my partner and we were not provided any reason as to why he was asked to leave. This then escalted immensely.
I heard staff laugh behind my back instead of checking I was okay when I fell. I believe I tripped on the lip at the door but my partner believes he saw someone push me.

Earlier in the night my partner also had a massive asthma attack and there was no duty of care provided, another patron there helped us instead and only then were we checked on.

We returned to make a complaint about the evening and was looked down on by the manager, he was chewing gum loudly with an open mouth while I spoke and laughed with the security behind him. There was no care, regardless of the situation he could have been more respectful and at least pretended to listen to me.

We are clearly not welcome, we will not be returning as I'm sure you are terribly grateful for.

A few weeks ago, I noticed the sign outside advertising '$12 Rump Steak + Chips + Salad' as the Tuesday and Friday special.

When I walked in, the person at the bar was very friendly and explained everything about the menu since it was my first time at this place. However, the worst was yet to come. When they brought me the food, it had a good presentation, but the meat was full of nerves. Each piece was nerve-wracking, and each bite took two minutes of chewing. Unfortunately, I had to eat it so as not to waste my money.

"That day, I had a pain in my jaw like never before".
'I do not recommend them unless you want to leave with a sore mouth and jaw.
' I will not be back."

Mate and i ordered 2 steaks. I ordered before him. He got his meal. 20 mins later i got mine, he was done. I asked for a free beer because they obviously forgot. Manager tried to argue arduously that mine took 20 mins longer because i ordered well done. Wasnt even willing to meet me halfway, he was dying on that hill. So they can get stuffed.

Fantastic location and a broad drink selection with great staff and service and often free live talented entertainment out front. Offering fabulous food at affordable prices available most hours outside of traditional meal times allowing for you to relax prior to a show at the music hall.

Leilani was extremely efficient, friendly and lovely. She was genuinely excited for us having a small win in the gaming lounge. She even told my partner and I that happy hour was almost finishing which was great as it saved us a couple dollars. Would definitely say she is an asset to the team.

Food so good we ate there 3 times in a 5 night holiday. Had the Supreme pizza twice, bloody delicious. Came back to do the Eggs Bene which was done just right - again delicious. Plastic glassware isn't great but good staff, atmosphere & pricing all made up for it. Would go back any time.

Great place! Good atmosphere, decent food. The manager (owner?) Saw our two kids and brought them over some free ice cream which was super kind! Prices were pretty great too. Nachos was huge.

Great service, food and location. The prices are unbeatable. If you love an eggs benedict, this is the place for you.

We were in town for a concert at Fortitude Music Hall. Located across the mall. Breakfast was great. Had Avo on Turkish bread, fresh smoothly.

My friends & I visited RG for Riverfire.
While we watched the Raaf Jets they cleared our drinks.
We made friendly comment to the bar management and they gave us fresh drinks.

I had dinner at the RG's 2 nights ago with my girlfriend and ordered a rump steak each and both steaks were under-cooked, other than that its a great place to not just gamble but sit back have a drink and catch up with locals and friends.

Went there yesterday for lunch. Food was absolutely delish!! Fettuccine was so good! Very well priced also! The owner was friendly and came and had a chat. Only thing I didn't like was they have a smoking section and the smell wafted over to our table the whole time which wasn't cool as we have kids. Definitely will go back but just not with the kids :)

I mean....you get what you get. Prime Valley location. Bathrooms always have a problematic stall, whether it be a fixture, plumbing, or human bodily fluid issue. It is to be expected. Food, you can't complain when it's that cheap and quick. It's not bad, just not great. You can score a decent priced pint, but other than that, the drinks are standard Valley $$. Live music a bonus. Free karaoke nights, not bad. If you are not a princess and are ok with ignoring/not knowing what is on the bottom of your shoes, then this place is not bad, just not great. Take it for what it is and enjoy what you can.

Oh my god....$10 parmy night is such incredible value and the meal is supper tasty. Thank you to an independently owned institution for keeping the pub scene honest! We'll be back!

Beer on tap was cold and crisp. Lemon lime and bitters was poured little heavier on the bitters, so let them know if you want it lighter. Atmosphere was the exciting end of a pub atmosphere. The food was pretty terrible, though.

Hardly go to RG on a night out but won't be buying my drinks from them again. Cups that were given to me had mould in them, and wasn't aware until I had almost swallowed a decent sized chunk of it. Then checked the other drinks at the table all had bits of mould on the cup, and floating in the drinks. Definitely don't want to be worrying if pubs and night clubs are properly cleaning the cups they give to me, just ruins a good night and is a health risk.

I decided to try the $10 menu. Tuesdays it's steak chips and salad. Real steak isn't cheep so I didn't expect much. But this meal was crazy delicious. The steak was big. It was full of flavour. And hit the spot just perfect. I recommend this to anyone looking for something delicious.

Great their weekly special menus, I had asked for the sauce on the side to my steak but alas they forgot about it. It doesn't matter, they were very busy and there was also live music. I will be back

When I am in town for work I like to pay the pokies a visit after a few pints at the Irish Pub. The pokie staff here used to be very welcoming, great banter/laugh and I was always looked after well. Unfortunately, the last two trips have not been the same. Falls short of the atmosphere it used to have, the staff are not as personable and the room is not as well kept as it used to be including the crowd. I would also like to add my unpleasant experience with a young lady at the front bar (it seems there are quite a number of reviews about this young lady), I was left waiting while I watched her chat to labourers outside, and when I was finally served, she had all the attitude in the world but no time to answer questions about the menu. She also later refused to give table service to my colleagues and I (the same table service she was giving the tradies and another table) "Absolutely not" was her response before walking away and kicking a chair. We thought it'd be best to leave instead of getting another round.

Check out the mid week specials! They're good value! Thursday is $14 burger (select menu) and basics as well as $6 cocktails till 6. The entertainment is always awesome down here as well. Inside and outside seating with a smokers area. A good place to kick off a fun night out.

Had a minor medical incident last night and the staff were so helpful and kind. Really appreciate that. Security also lovely here too.

Went there this morning for breakfast. Not a bad venue, but the waitress really needs a holiday or something. So much attitude. Started off because we didn't have the QLD check in app, which was really not a problem.. We happily downloaded it to check in, but just copped so much attitude. The huffing and puffing really wasn't needed. Terrible customer service on her behalf. Ordered an iced coffee that came out hot. Asked her if I could have some ice in it, she snatched it out of my hand and walked off and kicked the door. I get we all have bad days, but seriously if that's how she was acting in the morning, I would have hated to see her a few hours into her shift. Take a break love. Put me off wanting to go back there.

Great pub in the Valley. Always really down to earth people and really great vibes. There is an outside and inside area. The staff and security are really great. We had the best time here last week. If you want somewhere you can talk, have a drink and have a dance if you want. This is your go you place. Worth checking out.

Nice spot. Has good parking and easy to get to. Not overly crowded.

Plenty of seating, including a nice outdoor setting. Beer was well priced with good specials. Enjoyed the food.

General go for breakfast here every fortnight, service is generally ok, nothing special. Today however was a complete shambles. Wrong coffee order, tried to explain it to the server, couldn't understand us, then the 'Manager' wearing all black and jean shorts that didn't leave much to your imagination, yelling at patrons and staff and to top it off she's dragging around metal chairs making a hell of a racket. So much for our relaxing Sunday breakfast. Tried to talk to this 'Manager' she couldn't careless, basically said she couldn't care, quote "oh well if you don't like it, don't come back" well you know what, we won't be, we will spend our $85 else where. On a positive note, the young red haired girl doing the coffee/orders was lovely, bubbly and friendly, maybe she could take over as the Manager.

Absolutely love the RG Hotel. Great and affordable meals, great live entertainment and good service.

Great venue that never seems to close. The location is convenient.
I've had Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner here several times and the food is well priced, consistent and yummy.
I've never stayed in the accommodation so I can't comment on that.

It's real average food. There's so many better options within walking distance. The staff was super friendly but that can't compensate for lack luster food.

Underwhelmed by the poor quality pizza. Was unrecognizable as a BBQ meat lovers. Seems they run out of ingredients. Fatty, barely any meat and could only eat one slice. Beer selction was good however.

Where is the 10 star button here? Katherine from RG's is nothing short of AMAZING. She is always delightful (my work team have dealt with her so many times to organise events) and she goes above and beyond every single time! Rg's is lucky to have a star like you! Thank you Katherine.

Very busy spot for food and drinks, even on a Sunday night!Had the $8 steak, chips and sauce deal and the peppercorn sauce and would definitely recommend. Friends had the barramundi and said it trumped the steak - very good value for money regardless.Drinks are pretty reasonably priced - $12 espresso martinis and other cocktails and $25 for a bottle of wine.Would say that the servers did take a long time to find us for food which resulted in some of the food being cold, but bar that had a great night.
