Pleasantly welcomed. That's the best thing I can say. Had to be one of the worst meals that I have ever had. I don't know how you can burn a steak on the outside and it still be nearly raw inside. If I hadn't already paid at the bar I would have refused to pay

Excellent meal here, with spot on service and a great ambience in this lovely coastal city.
The steak was great, and my colleague had the surf n turf and also could not speak highly enough of it.
A great range of beers and wines as well.

They have given us the best seafood pasta and medium rare steak. Everything was good considering that we were there at 8:30 pm and the kitchen was closing at 9:00 pm. One of the staff that I have observed was very efficient and was smiling a lot to the customers and guests. Definitely a go-to place and a gem in Warnambool.

Went here for dinner Thursday 11th April. Food was nice and decent portion sizes and staff were friendly enough. Only downside was we waited almost 45 minutes for our food. Thanks Whalers!

Very good meals...had to wait 70minutes before the waitress delivered to our table.

Can't go wrong with the pub meals at this location. The last time we were in Warrnambool was more than 10 years ago when previous owners owned the hotel and the meals were delicious.

Now, we are here again in 2024, new owners, new layout.

Food is just as good (if not better!), service was very fast.

Stop by here for lunch if you are traveling into or through Warrnambool. Can't go wrong!

I had the Rib Eye, cooked to my liking.
Wife had the gummy flake, asked for pan fried and got that no issues.

Kids pizza was good too, I could tell, they are every bit.

Fabulous place! The food was sensational and full of flavour. The seafood linguine was amazing! We also loved the prawns with chilli, garlic & paprika. Very impressed with the service and atmosphere too. Highly recommend.

We came for lunch, spent ample money inside the hotel with no issue, I requested a ginger beer with no ice and I was refused service. Alex the young rude bartender raised his finger to his mouth to shh me whilst I was explaining that I did not want ice in my beer and that I would like a refund. He then proceeded to tell me to get a grip and then asked me to leave the establishment, I request that the liquor licence holders make contact with me so an official complaint can be made. Alex refused to have the magnet of the licenced venue speak with me. Wonderful welcome to this town.

We are new to the area and my Husband and I came here for dinner and as we are both Vegans we asked if the Chef could make us a Vegan meal, we were absolutely delighted with the effort and the size of the meal. Not only were we happy but our non Vegan friends at our table were jealous of how good it looked as was the waitress!
We went back for lunch today and ordered it again and this time it was on the menu 🙏 and once again we were delighted!

Really enjoyed our time at the Whalers Hotel.
Food was excellent, had the Gummy Shark Special. My friend enjoyed his pizza and the happy hour cocktails.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff would recommend coming here.

Haven't had such a good night out in a while. Meals were lovely, staff were friendly, and you could actually hear the person across from yiu speaking without yelling. Prices were reasonable. Will definitely return.

Great pub!

Restaurant does great food. Sports bar/TAB is excellent. Upstairs is great for late nights and function room/bar up there is a great space for private functions too.

It's a really nice country pub. No knocks at all.

When you pop into the pub for a drinknlate arvo and see its almost booked out for dinner, something must be good. Delicious food, lovely pub inside and out.

Nice food and good value considering the portions. Like the ability to order from an app on your table and the atmosphere was thematic and a little old school. The used to be THE place in the early 90s so it was nice to come back for a visit and still see it going strong.

Went there with my partner for dinner, the atmosphere is really nice and busy. The fireplace was definitely a nice touch! The drinks were delicious, although I didn't like creamy my pumpkin ravioli, the cream was too heavy and I couldn't taste anything else. But my partner had the chicken Parma and really liked it. It's my fault I should've ordered something a bit more pub-y :)

Absolutely delicious food. I had the chilli prawn pasta and lava cake for dessert. Both tasted amazing. Friendly service too. Highly recommended.

Cool pub in central location with yummy meals! Extensive cocktail menu and heaps of beers on tap.. Only criticism is that the bistro kitchen closes at 8pm, a bit early on those summer nights.

The Parmesan and Sage Pork Cutlets are probably the best Pork Cutlets in the world! I know it sounds like an overstatement... please do yourself a favour, come down and try them... you won't regret!

After a long drive,my girlfriend and I decided to stop by to have some food and a drink. Little did we know how rude the service would have been, we would never have stepped in that place on Saturday the 10th of July in the afternoon. The lady wearing glasses was so rude that we had to leave. She has no manners,I greeted her and she didn't even acknowledge. The tonality of her voice doesn't reflect as someone that works in the hospitality industry. I thought that I was at a military camp... DID YOU CHECK IN,WHERE IS YOUR MASK,MENU IS ONLINE 😡😡😡

Amazing service and the food is 5 stars! I can't believe we finished our Mains. The pork and fennel pizza was so flavoursome and the mains were very generous and wholesome with all the veg and the amazing gravy that accompanied the Roast. Fabulous value for money!!!! Couldn't fault this place. I was hesitant to order Caramel pudding but it was so delicious too

Easy to book online, friendly staff, the food was lovely with generous serving sizes. I really liked their ordering system and how it was linked in directly with the COVID QR check in - really handy and encourages people to follow the right process. The food was at our table within about 15 minutes, which given how busy they were was very reasonable. The food prices were good too - this is the third restaurant we've tried on in that little strip and it was a fair bit cheaper, without affecting food quality. If we weren't heading back home tomorrow, we'd have definitely come back

What a steak!! I regularly dine out and order steaks in all kinds of restaurants and this was one of the most perfectly cooked scotch fillets Ive ever had.

We wanted a comfortable place to have dinner after 2 long days of driving. And this place was perfect! Amazingly priced meals! Great hearty meals! Plenty of food and drink variety and super friendly staff. Couldn't believe how quick the food came out too, the place was packed! Highly recommend this place for everyone and especially travellers. Thank you for a wonderful night
