Food, service and ambiance was good. Quantity and quality of the food were nice. Food prep time was fast.

On a Thursday at 10am the veteran community and family gather for morning coffee and catch up. This is well attended and they are always more than happy to see more come in from the cold to join us in mateship and the occasional meal.

Tasty, fresh, home-cooked style, quality food! Had the lamb shank & mash+veges and the salt & pepper calamari - both were incredibly tender and each mouthful was a taste sensation. Also enjoyed the sticky date pudding and ice cream. Very generous proportions and great value for money. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a meal or two when staying in Warrnambool.

Arancini balls and calamari as starters, both $18.
Chicken Kiev at $29 and Blue Grenadier at $27 as mains.
All the main dishes came with fries and salad, in a very nice dressing. The starters also came with salad.
A bottle of Chardonnay was only $30.
All the food was delicious, the only problem was choosing what to have as it all looked fabulous!
The RSL is close to the town centre, and the dining room has a breathtaking view over Lake Pertobe towards the sea.
If you are in Warnambool, definitely come here for a meal.

An old favourite meal of mine which I never see on menus in Australia any more until tonight at the Warrnambool RSL Bistro, so I had to chose it! It was lambs fry and bacon with vegetables. Just delicious and so healthy.
I sat at the window and had a lovely view over the salt water lake.
The staff are all so friendly and very attentive.
