Best steak sandwich in Townsville hands down!! Iv had this sandwich like 10 times and it never disappoints. You can actually bite through the steak! If you're having a tough day go get one and it will cheer you right up !

Love the salad bar..only one e I k ow of that's still around.

Stopped by on our way north, food was a good price. So full right now.

For a last minute lunch spot I must say this place was amazing. We sat outside and the breeze and view of Castle Hill was delightful. It was not busy in the back courtyard but inside was busy with a bunch of bookings and the drinks were flowing.
Ordered inside and everything went smoothly, I must say the added touch of a 'free' salad bar with fruit and some warm food was a great touch.
Ordered the chicken sandwich and chefs signature beef burger were both great. I absolutely loved my chicken, it was cooked well and the depth of flavours with the sauces and avocado was great. My partners beef burger was slightly on the drier side, but that was made up for with the chips and aoli sauce. That aoli sauce was absolutely heavenly, the tanginess, garlic and herbs were 'chefs kiss'. There was none remaining and we both wish we could have taken a bottle home.
The service was alright, I could tell the poor waitstaff was a bit overwhelmed with a bigger lunch rush.

If you want a cooked chicken schnitzel, stay away from the West End hotel. Two of us had chicken schnitzel and both were pink and undercooked. The table beside us sent two meals back with no issues from the staff. When we sent our two schnitzels back, the night Manager told us that he was sick of us 'Karen's' and was sick of dealing with us Karen's (First Nation people) and would not be refunding our money. He became very aggressive and we had to ask him to please leave our table and not to speak to us like that. We definitely would not recommend the West End hotel!!!
