Always a great meal and lots of it. Tables are not crowded and heaps of space outside as well. Chips are to die for

Had the roast pork and it was mainly all fat it was disgusting I have photos to prove it if any one wants to see it .

Used the table QR Code to order, big mistake. $40 300gm Rump was overcooked and only came with a handful of chips. Nothing else. At least if I had ordered at the desk I would have realised salad and sauce was extra. Still, overpriced and underwhelmed with the meal.

For an establishment that has been around for so long, you'd think it would be better, the pork ribs have never seen a grill, boiled to death, and chips cooked when cyclone Althea was closing in. cold as. I'd give it 2 out of 10

Solid old fashioned pub grub food. Got steak and chips special, asked for rare and good a perfectly cooked rare steak ?? fantastic. Have a serve yourself salad bar which offered 3 salads, and the extras allowing you to make yr own salad. Warm veggies as well. Busy pub inside in the aircon. Dogs allowed out in the beer garden. Dog water bowls provided. Big TV for sport. Beer specials today were stone &wood $10, Larry pale ale, and Newtowner tinnies. Standard NQ beers on task. Strong recommend. Will be back.

Excellent and good consistency food , enjoined night and good selection from the buffet Fresh & tasty

Very disappointing. Had to ask for bread rolls, baked potatoes in the salad bar not at all fresh, same with the broccoli and cauliflower dry and looks like could have been from dinner the previous day. Staff really couldn't care. Disappointing given past visits have been exceptional.

Is a nice place but hav strange ppl walking in & out of the gaming area obviously seeing who they might rob once in the street, staff need to keep an eye out for these ppl & keep the patrons that r genuinely there to enjoy the gaming rm safe & not to be stalked by the ppl who r just coming in & out constantly seeing wat amount of $ r on patrons gaming machine

Food was lovely. Shame we had a group of people and everyone had finished eating before 4 meals were even served. Waited 45 mins for fish when steak and chicken dishes came out within 15 mins. Won't be going back with a group that's for sure.

I enjoyed a superb meal at the West End. Uyen the lovely hostess suggested the Pork Cutlet served with Beetroot on a bed of Black Rice. I appreciated Uyen's suggestion as the meal was cooked to perfection. I was lucky to encounter a relatively quiet night at this venue however I can imagine that it would be very popular because of the extensive menu. Thanks once again to Uyen for her assistance and her display of a wonderful work ethic while she provided assistance to all diners.

Our RSL Friendship Day Club had lunch here today (roughly thirty of us) we eat at a different venue every month and I must say great value for money and nice food as well

They have the unlimited salad/veggie area back. Prices seemed to have gone up because of this. Staff are always friendly. Food is always good.

My wife and I love salad and vege bar staff were very helpful and happy, the renovations look good, miss the plants and the parking is brilliant. Our favourite lunch venue been going for about 15 years

So fortunate to have randomly found this gem of a pub whilst taking our two staffys for an evening walk.

I was thirsty, Wendy hungry and after asking if dogs were allowed ( as long as on leads & tied up with water bowl access) both our needs catered for by very helpful & friendly staff.

Stumbled across this pub. Built 1885. Almost finished doing major renovations. Looks fantastic. Excellent value for money meals. Beer icy cold, wine glasses chilled. Will return on our way back from up north

What an absolute gem! Stopped over in Townsville and needed a quick meal and was not disappointed. The staff were fantastic. Young Brooklyn at the restaurant was superb. The two young women at the bar were swift in their service and the atmosphere for a Thursday evening was buzzing.

We went to the hotel last weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good selection to choose from on the menu. I chose the pumpkin salad, it was very tasty. My husband had Rump steak and it was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. No complaints from us,the meals were reasonably priced and I would recommend this venue for a good meal..?

We had lunch a couple of times and drinks another day . The Hotel has really nice setting ,our lunch was very tasty and fresh , my chocolate cake was scrumptious. Friendly staff each time we went . I can highly recommend it for a place to meet friends or family. It was just my husband and I and we both enjoyed ourselves.

The staff could not be more helpful. They turned a standard visit to an unknown hotel into a pleasurable experience.

Family Dinner, Entree calamari was super soggy the batter fell of trying to pick it up, main meals were great though the creamy garlic sauce was very bland wouldn't recommend that, though I'll definitely try the steak sandwich that looked amazing. Is it possible to add a dirty cow and a dirty fish to add on the collection of the dirty bird

Staff are amazing, take the time to get to know you. Shout out to Jeffery he's an amazing dude always happy to have a chat and his knowledge on alcohol is amazing, never know if you're going to try something new

Good pub. Pretty quiet during the day. Went at night and had the best BBQ Ribs. Sunday I had the best Roast of the Day I've ever had apart from a home cooked meal.
