Have had a couple of meals at Cowboys' Cub on my recent Townsville visit and the food and service are fantastic. We had fish tacos and Mediterranean pancakes which were delicious. I must congratulate Annette on her excellent customer service. She is super competent and manages to make everyone feel welcome (in a totally personal way) as well as organising tables and supervising/training team members. What a tremendous asset Annette is to Cowboys as well as a totally customer focused team of workers in various roles. Thank you Annette, the reception, bar, wait staff and the chefs.

My family member went to dinner there last night with out of town guests and two adults ordered the ribs. Very disappointed with them being so tough and not chewable. At $40 per meal I think you should be able to enjoy and not have to go to a takeaway place on the way home as they were still hungry.
I am sorry to complain but I just find I need to bring it to your Chef's attention.

Great value as a member of the club. So many choices of the foods, drink and service great. Just busy if wanna have dinner here. Come earlier is best option

I'm in town for the day and found this place. I ordered from Star Graze and it was pleasant.
Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

My husband and I went into Cowboys for lunch today the 26th January, as the cyclone hit last night and no power.
My husband had the seafood basket and you could not even cut the fish with the knife. When I picked it up, it didn't look right, but I thought I will give you the benefit of the doubt. It may be lovely, no I was wrong.
My husband said it was not very nice, but he ate it, as we have no power..
I don't know if the people that is preparing the food cares, but we are paying for this food and it should be presented nice, not dry and the fish was pasty.
The food is very average now, it use to be lovely, very hit and miss.
The photo's is the remainder of the piece of battered, burnt and dried fish that my husband could not eat, very disappointing, as he usually gets the seafood basket all the time.

We received lovely service today from Elsie and Nidia along with the Irish lady behind the bar.
Large servings of food and great value for money. We will return to this venue. All the staff were very friendly. We ordered Chicken Nachos $9.90 and the Pork knuckle $19.90 drinks are also very cheap. Pint of beer $6.70 and a glass of sparkling wine $4.50. DEC 2023

Came for work but ended up in a sea of cowboys supporters ha ha. Despite it being extremely busy and no tables left to dine, the waitress Annette (who is a legend) took my number and called when there was a table ready. She was very kind and asking questions. She also saw I was waiting a while for my meal and without asking she went and found out how long it will be. I had the crab and salmon stack. Was a nice light meal and worth the wait.

Great friendly club with plenty of eating & coffee options. $2 temporary membership for a month gives u discounts on meals, drinks & merchandise. Great for travellers like us. Huge pokies area & merchandise shop.

We ordered 4 rib eye steaks, 3 medium rare and 1 blue. We received 2 well done steaks 1 about medium and the blue was about medium as well. The meals were around $40 + with sides. Not very happy.

Fantastic place great food and great people. We were up from Melbourne for a holiday and enjoyed eating there. Prices were very good. They offer a month membership for visitors on holidays for $2 then you get the members price for meals and drinks and the cowboys nrl shop. Going to miss this place when we go home

What a great club. So much space to move around. The restaurant was booked out but we found a spot to sit in the sports bar. Worth getting the $2 temporary membership as the meals are not only great eating but at a very reasonable price. Meals came out in good time. Well done Cowboys!

Been living in Townsville for 20yrs and finally went to the Cowboys to celebrate my 55th birthday with the family. Was very nice and the meals were great. No prob were you wish to sit. Will definitely be going back again and even signed up. They honour veterans white card and the member discounts on meals and drinks go a long way.

The club is interesting.
They have a bit of everything for everyone.
Food, trivia, lucky draw, sports, bar, 2x restaurants, slot machines, kids play area etc
The food is decent 90% of the time. There are occasions when they are either too busy or something then the food quality decrease a bit.
The club classic meals are awesome. The pork knuckle is a must try ???'?
They have kids eat free (one kid meal free for every adult meal) Sunday (at Star Graze) and Monday (at Match). There are other deals for each day of the week. You may want to check it out on their websites.

They also have several different dishes of the month and chef meal of the month etc

They have plenty of car park and you can get the ticket validated if the boom gate is still down when you are leaving.
Will need driver license if you are not a member.

Things that could be better:
- Coffee not great, needs better bean at the minimum. Even hot chocolate not great either.
- The chicken wings at Star Graze a bit hit be miss. I think occasionally they are not steam before frying so they come out bone dry.

Absolutely good tasting steak sandwich at an absolutely reasonable price. Absolutely recommend. Thanks for the fine service Kiasten.

Nice club and atmosphere, staff were great. First time interstate visitor looking forward to a schnitzel. We had a chicken schnitzel and a beef (crumbed steak) schnitzel. Very disappointing, small and dry. Left hungry and went to Domino's for a top up. On the bright side, beers were nice and cold, service was great. Plenty of room, big screens showing plenty of sport. Next time I might try something else from the menu.

Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. Was very busy (likely due to members specials on Tuesdays). We ordered the Pork Knuckle, a Pulled beef burrito bowl and a side of veggies. Great prices for the serving sizes but not too much flavour. Pork knuckle was crispy so that was good however the burrito bowl was very mediocre - we could barely spot any beans in the whole bowl and the avocado was equally non-existent. Other meals looked a lot better than the burrito bowl though so could have been a bad choice on our part.

Always great food. They get hectic busy and the wait is always reasonable and you know in advance. Good communication is key ??'?

The food is awesome, never had a bad meal. We like to go a couple of times a month ?. The only thing I've noticed recently though are the curly chips, not a fan, too much like another curly chip restaurant I know. Proper beer batter chips are best ??'?

My seafood platter was lovely. Fresh seafood was good. Not sure about the fish as the bf ate it. We had a table of 12 and all meals were good except for one friend who got the calamari and it had come out of a box. That was a shame as the calamari on my platter was fresh made. I have not seen calamari out of a box here before and they should change it back to the real stuff.

Good chips and service. That's about as far as it goes.
Terrible steak. Asked for it medium rare, came out blue. The second time wasn't much better. BBQ sauce came from woolies (wasn't made in house). $5.50 for a Coke Zero 390ml

Always a delightful way to spend a few hours. A flutter on the machines followed by a tasty meal. A favourite and so central.

Great food at good prices. Membership is good value. Was there for State of Origin 1 2021 and the package deal they had was very good value and great atmosphere. Ended up dining there 3 times. ??

It was alive. The staff were fantastic and alive. We had a great time in there even though we had not booked as it was booked out for the Origin game. We were still able to get a meal and drink. But seating was difficult to get. Loved it.

Spent the afternoon here yesterday. Really good time.

The staff were very good. You can see they have made customer service a priority & it really shows.
The facilities are top notch, modern & attractive, spacious. Even a playground for the kids.

I ate in the restaurant & the fisherman's basket was quick, hot, crispy. The disappointing thing was the fish tasted frozen, and did not have good flavour at all. It was pretty poor. Chips were nice.

The staff I encountered were really lovely & seemed to enjoy their jobs. Five stars on that basis. Great to see.

Really good food and entertainment especially after games. As out-of-towners who called to make a booking, and even though we made our preferences clear over the phone, it was not made clear to us where our reservation was within the club and we had to have dinner in a part of the club that wasn't our preference. When we arrived and told staff of the issue, they simply didn't care.

Just had dinner there, Pork belly & he had 300g rump - he says it's the best rump he's had ever!!
Great club!! We're visiting & got a temp membership for 1 month. The staff are SOOOO accommodating, friendly, everyone was just so welcoming. I HIGHLY recommend visiting Cowboys. Thank u all for the wonderful experience

Stopped in for dinner, was quite busy but managed to find a seat. Food was pretty good, and drinks done at bar were served by friendly staff too. Might pay to book a table on some nights here due to member draws etc, as it was pretty full

The bistro duty manager, Annette, is an amazing asset to the Club. She made our visit such a great experience. Next time I'm in the area, I'd definitely go back to the Club. Good was well presented, tasty and a great price. House savvy and merlot were delightful. Great experience.

Our first visit to Cowboys Leagues club was most enjoyable. From our initial check in then bar service, we were impressed with the professional & courteous staff. Lunch was delicious & at know time did we feel pressured to vacate our table after eating.

Food is good, if you are a member excellent discounts.

Great staff. Cold beer. Good food. Nice place. Needs better monthly specials signs to show the beers. Had a pic of a beer on special with a name. No where did is say only the mid strength beer was on special. Staff did not know either if it was the full or mid strength at $5 a scooner.
