Service and staff were faultless.

Full table service was great but ... not being able to spilt the bill was so painful. To get cash out we needed to go to the bar to process our cash out request, including a surcharge, then collect our cash from the cash machine.

I'd be happier to split the bill and pay a,surcharge.

I highly recommend the 31 Below function space at the Olympic Hotel. We recently held my daughter's 21st there. I've only heard positive feedback from all who attended. Bar staff were great and very attentive, food was plentiful. In house DJ was fantastic, the dance floor was full all night. Hotel recommendation of "Events by Carol" for decorating was spot on. Everyone had a great time, atmosphere was buzzing. Most of all the Birthday girl was so happy. Thanks again to Adrian and staff for helping us make my daughter's birthday a night to remember.

Celebrating my 60th birthday. Friends recommended the Olympic Hotel. Hadn't been there in years. Why I don't know. Definitely will be my go to place for a Bistro meal. Staff highly trained and attentive to guests but only exceeded by their events coordinator Adrian. I have no words at the ease in the preparation I had in organising my 60th just one meeting with Adrian I received all I asked for with my event last night. Every team member was attentive, service I haven't seen in years. This was also seen by my guests. You made my night one I will never forget. Thank you Adrian and to your team Alex, Nick and Yeu OUTSTANDING.

We held my husband's 80th Birthday in the Silver room on Boxing Day. We cannot speak highly enough of the service we received from Adrian from the initial booking right up to the special day., nothing was too much trouble. The guests all commented on the delicious meals and service which was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend the Olympic Hotel for any function. Thanks for a great experience Adrian 🙂

Celebrated my daughter's 16th in the silver room last Saturday. 100% recommend Adrian and his crew. Everything was seamless. Couldn't thank Adrian enough for a super smooth night. My daughter was very grateful and had the best night ever.

First time we've been back to the Olympic in a year... the food has improved significantly. All our meals were DELICIOUS - steaks, chicken pasta & roast of the day. Kids also really enjoyed their meals. A little more expensive than other pubs, but definitely worth it!

I had my 30th birthday in the bronze function room and it did not dissapoint. The service was absolutely incredible with staff walking around with finger food regularly throughout the night. The bar service was fantastic and my guests were not waiting long for drinks.

The amount of food and not to mention the quality, was absolutely delicious that my guests have not stopped raving about it. Adrian was a pleasure to deal with and coordinated the event so well. His hospitality was so impressive and he made sure the night ran as smoothly as possible. I used the DJ and photography that the Olympic Hotel offer and I was extremely happy with how the DJ catered to all my music requests and got my guests up dancing.

I would highly recommend the Olympic Hotel for your next event!

We held our son's 21st birthday in the Silver Room Saturday night. What a fantastic evening we all had. The food was great and plentiful and the service was fantastic. Adrian was a pleasure to work with and we thank him for his advice and guidance through out the whole process. A huge thank you to Adrian and his team, especially Alex. Nothing was too much trouble, even with us needing to change dates at the last minute. Food was fantastic and lots of compliments from our guests on the venue. Assistance with the audio/visuals/music and entertainment was brilliant. Thank you for your professionalism and first rate service.

Another meal at the Olympic Hotel Preston. Meat was tender and tasty! Only one suggestion I will make, a little less oil in the sauce would've been better specially as it was sitting on mashed potatoes! Otherwise all good!

Went for dinner with family last night. Potato and leek Soup tasty.
The lemon pepper calamari was tender and crunchy with chips and salad, delicious. Penne and tagliatelle cooked well/Al dente sauce tasty, Chicken Risotto well cooked, chicken tender. Sticky date pudding with ice cream was delicious as usual! 😋Cathy

Big thanks to the Bistro who catered to our business lunch. Fabulous food and cocktails! We stayed on longer than planned and Anne and her staff were of excellent service the entire time (they even let us split the bill four ways) Very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

Celebrate my husband's 50th birthday as a Surprise Party! It was such a pleasure working with Adrian the events Manager who catered so thoughtfully throughout planning the event along with last minute fixing up the decorations. Generous amount of delicious and fresh food. Great choice of beverages. Friendly and fun staff who were bubbly and always with a smile. The night was beautiful to celebrate with family and friends. One of our favorite venues for dinners or a casual outing if in the area! Would love to arrange another occasion with the Olympic in the 31 below lounge. Thankyou for a night to remember.

We held our son's Communion along with some other families from our school and we had a seamless, stress free and well put together function run perfectly by Adrian Schiavello the Events Manager at the Olympic Hotel. The quality and quantities - (especially important for European families and guests) of the food was next level. In the lead up, Adrian was helpful and no request was too hard. We all walked away with so many compliments on how great our function was. Thank you to Adrian and staff! We'll see you again in a couple of years for the confirmations!

We do visit often.
I asked for a variation to the regular menu "calamari steak with lemon butter, chips and salad" (no problem) mine was "calamari steak with vegetables" no lemon butter.(dairy free)(Prefer veggies).
Was cooked well, tasted even better! Hubby had the Fish special (Blue Grenadier) with vegetables and enjoyed every bite!
Meals were served on time and still hot! Delicious!

The feedback has been shared with the entire organisation. Melbourne City Mission's Community Friend Program thoroughly enjoyed and complimented both the food and decorations. All volunteers and participants of the program were delighted with the afternoon.
The best touch was having the TV screen and speakers set up and utilising Spotify for some great tunes played in the background. The song and artist could be seen by all guests, with an option to skip track, if desired.
Adrian even went out of his way to print out a fabulous A3 poster on an A-frame stand, for guest greeting and direction into the marvellously set-up function room upstairs. There were even A4 signs at the stairway and lift, upon entry downstairs to lead the way. All very well thought out and presented.
There was one guest who decided they didn't like the entreè. Adrian was right on this and obliging, with no frustration shown, nor complaints. The guest was so very happy.

We enjoyed our night here. We came for the trivia night which is a lot of fun, although the guys who won seemed to be cheating off the internet. It didn't spoil a nice night though. This is a no pretence pub and it's old fashioned in a good way. My lamb roast was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced, a rarity these days at pubs. It had generous serves of meat and veggies. My wife enjoyed her Chicken Parma and chips too. The only downside was that the wines available where we were were pretty ordinary. The staff were all nice and they did their jobs well. This is a fun good value night. We will definitely return.

I had the pleasure of having my 21st birthday here in the 31 Below function room. I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the location and decor of the room, in its rustic industrial vibe, to the staff, all of who were amazing, I had the best night here and so did my guests. Adrian, the functions manager, was incredibly accommodating, super professional, and wonderfully helpful and it wouldn't have been the same event without his expertise and experience. The bar staff, Luca and Lani (I believe?) were wonderful, entertaining and helped make the night so much fun. The cocktail food was delicious also! Can't recommend this place highly enough. Will definitely be using this space with Adrian's expertise again.

Fantastic staff and atmosphere. Most importantly fantastic food. Mum was so impressed she took us here twice in one week to enjoy her steak. Will definitely be making this place a regular dinner experience.

Recently I had my engagement party here in the upstairs function rooms.
From just looking at the room and chatting to the function manager Adrian, you could tell how professional, genuine, easy going and willing he is to help make your night the best.
Adrian made the experience so much easier with his help and input on how things can look within the room and how the placement can open the room right up.
The staff who looked after us on the night done a phenomenal job and kept everything smooth sailing.
I couldn't of asked for such an easygoing night with such high quality staff to look after us all.
My Fiancé and I couldn't express our gratitude more towards them all.
Our guests commented on the room shocked at how damn good it looked.
The Olympic Hotel completely blew everyone away.
I highly recommend that you book here for functions and you will not regret it!

Second time at the Olympic for Friday night meal. So I guess that might be saying something. Pleasant staff and pretty big layout. Fairly roomy and plenty of screens if you want to checkout sports/events.

Started this evening shared entrée of the Lemon Pepper Calamari that we thought was pretty good. (Sorry no photos, were to hungry that night) Very nice taste and balance. Not chewy and flavours were good.

Main meals - Chicken Parma with salad and Chips. Porterhouse with Garlic Butter- salad and Chips.
Porter house was cooked as requested, Salad and Chips stock Pub. Taste for Porterhouse must have been good as it was polished off.
Chicken Parma was what I consider stock Pub size, and Salad and Chips same. Taste was good without been over the top.

Drinks - Lemon Lime and Bitters was in a very generous size glass that went down a treat. Corona was Corona-What can be said.
Overall good night out for a Pub meal in the North.

Great place to watch sports. Food was good but not great. Always get well done steak even though I ordered medium rare. Clean toilets and good atmosphere.

A massive shout out to Adrian the function manager. We had the best time celebrating my partners 50th in the upstairs function room. The set up was great the food was amazing, the service from the staff friendly and professional. , I will definitely book another event . Thank you again

Wow where do I start, from the amazing space of the function room to the amazing and friendly service. My god the food was hands down amazing, all my guests loved the night couldn't have been any more happier with how everything turned out. Always excellent service whenever we visit the Olympic Hotel. Fernando & the bistro staff are so friendly & accomodating. The food is great & comes out at the same time so no one's left waiting. Highly recommend this local eatery!

Some of their employees need to improve their level of customer service. Though the place is a local pub, customers should still be treated with respect.

Attended a function recently and highly recommend it. Food served was very good. The room set up and tables looked lovely. The service and staff were very attentive, helpful and very accommodating to our needs. Adrian went above and beyond his duties and even organised for some music to be played. Well done all staff.

It was fantastic. I and my son enjoyed lunch with beer at reasonable prices. Will return again for lunch n dinner.

I went to the Olympic hotel with my disable brother and his carer today.The food is fantastic and the service was absolutely fantastic andalso grateful they way they cared not only for us but especially my brother.If I could rate them better I would give them 100 stars. there isno words really i can say but I am proud the way they serve and interacted.They were not ashamed at all by my brother being there.I never get that treatment anywhere else, and that is why I always go to the Olympic Hotel. and also advise my friends and family to go there for Lunch. Congratulations to all the staff in the Bistro. If i could give you all a medal. It would be a pleasure to hand it to you all.

Made a booking and arrived a couple minutes late and still got greeted amazingly at the door and got exceptional table service! The food was delicious and staff were very very friendly! Would greatly recommend!
