The meal was outstanding, with generous portions and a lovely presentation. The staff were exceptionally helpful and demonstrated a high level of excellence, particularly considering the busy atmosphere. Their hard work was truly commendable, and I extend my praise to the ladies who served us.

We'll be happy to update our review after more visits, but so far the food quality is below par. Wether the meals are trying to replicate the kind of cuisine one receives in nursing homes, who knows, but the $25 veggie burger I had was ridiculously overpriced for such a plain item. Un-buttered non-fresh bun with lettuce and two slices of tomato only, plus a patty with a small dash of mayo on top. No avo, onion (fried or raw onion would have been good), tomatto sauce or relish, or any kind of commitments or toppings which would normally bring a burger up to $25 gourmet status. This place is taking the mickey.

With the bangers and mash, the mash and gravy with onion were good, plus the veggies, but the sausages were noticeably el cheapo. Though the 'bangers and mash' did come in handy - after putting some of the fried onion/gravy from the bangers and mash, which my wife mercifully donated, into the veggie burger, plus some Aioli (which we had to request - they sent the chips out without it), the burger tasted much better !

The patty itself was very good. Just everything around it - not.

The spring rolls were almost empty. 80% - 90% fried pastry.

One star for the food, an extra star for the carport covers. The parking area is excellent.

For a RSL club meals are very overpriced. Will not be eating there again. A steak with no potatoes or veggies just a small bowl of salad which would cost no more than $2 to put together.

Attended here for one of my nan's birthday. Food was good, atmosphere was like an old person's home with a bar+pokies area but in a good way lol. Staff are really nice

We went for a birthday party what a nightmare turned out to be. we booked seating for 16 people 1 high chairs and room for 2 baby pram. when we got there it was so cramped. we were nowhere near where they said they were going to put us some of the food was under cooked some of the workers were very rude. This booking was done face2face not over the phone they were shown exactly where we would be sitting. This is what happens when you over book the birthday boy actually walked out he was so embarrassed

The place is OK but needs updating. The whole place feels dark and a little dingy. The menu in the bistro also needs updating along with the decor. The food is bland and not very appealing. The entertainment is good, but the dance floor is a little small for the of people that get on it.

Amazing service - staff was so friendly and attentive. We were a table of 9 for Sunday lunch. The food was perfect, steak was cooked to perfection, the pork roasts were delicious, barramundi was tender, the mixed grill was awesome and the open souvlaki was impressive. All the portions on each plate were plenty. We will defiantly be coming back again!

It's been renovated and looks amazing. The staff were lovely as always and I was happy with my Seniors' meal and dessert.

But what really shocked me was that on the Specials Board there was a 300gm Steak costing $48 yes at the RSL. I'm not too sure of how many those they would have actually sold.

I take a client here as a disability support worker and the staff are absolutely fabulous, all of them. So accommodating and kind, the food is great too!

This is my "go to" place for a cheap eat on a Thursday night (Parma night!).
They offer a range of different Chicken Parmas (My favourites are the Sicilian, Mediterranean, Outback, Mexican and Canadian) and I like having mine served with vegetables instead of chips and salad. This meal comes with a free drink (beer, wine or soft drink) all for only $19, plus they provide you with a bread roll and butter. It's a bargain and very filling.

I've been comparing parmas and this one is so far winning the parma race, not that it's a race. Also the eating area was nice and big. The cake section closed kinda early but they were willing to break the rules and buck authority and sneak me a bit of cake but I believe in law and order frankly.

We were in the area so dropped in for lunch. My partner and I loved our meals. My risotto was lovely and the young employees waiting the tables were excellent. Well done Darebin RSL.

Can't get this at RSL in Sydney. They are too busy catering for the needs of people who are doing their laundry.

I love Darebin rsl especially when Alfi Rocker band is on. It's a great comfortable venue and we enjoy seeing Alfi Rocker band and dance and have lots of fun. Additionally the food is great and with Alfi it's a great night out. So consider joining us for dinner and music by Alfi Rocker band and dance. Eve

The service is friendly,very accommodating to set us up a table (party of six) even though we didn't book. I suggest you do book a table,bistro fills up fast!

We were at the RSL last night celebrating a friend's birthday. We would like you to know what wonderful customer service we received from Matthew, he went over and above what would be expected. He made the night very enjoyable. We wanted to let you know because this sort of service is very rare these days.

Excellent venue, entertainment, food, staff and environment/ atmosphere. Not your typical RSL. This place rocks, rolls and jives. It comes alive on Fri and Sat nights with live entertainment and dancing. Great for people of all ages and food is amazing. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Undercover parking.

Went for a lunch break at the joint, fantastic lunch menu fish&chips with a pot for $16.50! Surprisingly the size was quite large, had pot of Carlton dry on tap was nice cold and fresh! Very friendly staff will come back again!

Visited for a family function last weekend. Food is typical RSL menu and good quality and quantity. Once the band fired up almost everyone hit the dance floor. Great place to go if you are wearing your dancing shoes.

Dined here one week ago with friends. The food was great, as was the service. The portions were large though they do have a good senior's menu. The atmosphere is always friendly and relaxed. They are back on track after Covid. Always a pleasure to dine at the RSL and book in for some of the weekly entertainment and other meal-themed days. Lest We Forget
