If you are eating here make sure to book a table beforehand or you won't get in to the restaurant &/or maybe to the deck. Menu had lots of options incl seniors & kids choices. Good wine list & assorted beers/cocktails.

May I just say ... LUCY was AMAZING. Her manner, professional service and happy personality made our night. The food was yummy ... thank you ... and Lucy was superb (and no, we didn't know her before tonight) haha
The only reason we put four stars ... it was really really loud.

Best place to be is in the outside section, nice lighting, quick bar access, just a nice place to sit and watch. The quality of the meals is quite good, above average. As a desert friend, I can say they were well presented, but could use a bit more variety to match the rest of the menu. Overall it's a nice place to spend an evening.

Have just returned from dinner at the Manly hotel in Brisbane. The meal was very good, with good portion size. The steak was cooked perfectly & other meals were very good.
The service was very good even though they were extremely busy.
Kayla & Zita are extremely good at what they do and it is always an enjoyable night out.

We had Dinner here last Night in the restaurant. Could definitely tell that the staff were still finding there feet with table Service, but all very polite.
The food was amazing ??'? bugs and steak we're cooked too perfection, 🍸 cocktails tasted amazing will definitely be back.

Manly hotel is in a fantastic location, and currently under going a complete renovation. At current the gaming room is the only room open until Christmas, when the new reveal will take place. Hopefully this renovation will bring the hotel back to its former glory,and a place to be involved in.

Great steak sandwich and reasonably priced beer. Place is a bit dated but gives it character

We are visitors to the area and would like to say your gaming room staff are very friendly, obliging and professional.
It is a pleasure to be welcomed each day, have glasses taken away immediately and have a little chat with them.
We are from the Gold Coast and members of The Star Casino.
When we swipe our card to sign in it is rare to have anyone even acknowledge us.
Glasses pile up for hours, coffee is always cold, snacks just warm etc. (A free service but hardly exciting)
Your outstanding staff member is Toni but having said that all the ladies are fabulous.
Your staff will remember us as my favourite machine is the Go machine!

The pub was in a great place. I stayed 2 nights. The construction work early in the morning was not fun but the 1st night a smoke alarm in the hallway was beeping at 3am for half an hour and the 2nd night from 230-330am other guests were yelling up the hallway and slamming doors. Then again at 430 for another half an hour. This was very very rude and inconsiderate to others staying. Would definitely head back for a beer and food but not to stay.

What a great old pub! Renovations are under way - I just hope they strip don't away the charm. Rooms that remind me of "the good old days". Great location. Great food. Lots of timber in the rooms, giving them a real 60's feel and charm. I love this hotel, and my partner and I will definitely be back.

My friend and l were there for lunch. The staff were brilliant and the food was good . The atmosphere was chill and it's dog friendly. Busy and we were the only women there tho so I think lll try a weekend meal next time. :)

Super friendly staff, steaks are perfect, love the addition of baked potatoes as a side. Was rather disappointed in the $7 topper of a slice of avo and a shot of hollandaise though.

This was a lovely budget hotel to stay at! Excellent location with cute markets on the weekends (or every other weekend maybe). Friendly staff and locals too! Would definitely rebook this place again.

Great pub all-round, staff are happy and friendly, food was perfect, close walk to everything. The room (11) had a quaint little balcony, beautiful Manly breeze's, air cond. Period bathroom decor was fresh and stylish.

The room was very comfortable and cosy, and I don't mean that it was small... we just felt right at home as soon as we walked in! So quaint and old old fashioned but with all the comfort of modern amenities. The hotel itself has a great feel with many features of the period preserved. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

My mum dined in and had a great meal. Then brought home takeaway (chicken schnitzel for me which looked undercooked and microwaved from frozen

While the prices weren't that expensive, the food didn't hit the mark. Everyone that ate in the bistro today are feeling sick and disgusting. The Manly Hotel has gone downhill. A shame.

Have been several times when everything else was closed and they had a DJ playing some amazing 80s dance. Couple of big floors. Went til late. Thanks. Great staff.

One thing I have found with over Monty's ALH group pubs & taverns is they are consistent.
Generally speaking not the best food but not the worst you would generally rate it around 3 1/2 out of five or seven out of 10 if you're not as good at maths 🤣
The staff are usually nice and helpful.
The menus are very similar which is actually handy to have a base menu the same with a few extras to change it up a bit from place to place.

What I'm getting tired of is being told about scanning for a menu I would like my phone to stay in my pocket the phones too small to look at the menu and it's regularly a problem to find a menu, inconvenient, it's like there's only one in the place there needs to be a pile everybody wants to use them actually they are just being nice doing what you ask them to do but they don't really like it.

Food was 4 out of 5 this visit.

Extremely convenient location, great value for money. The rooms are pretty basic but do the job. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area. Recommended.

Standard pub food. A tad pricey for what it is. Most of the staff seem pleasant.

We enjoyed our Sunday lunch there, it wasn't cheap but it was pretty tasty and some nice cold beer 😃

Came here for an 'easy' lunch for 4 and this place was amazing. Great food- EXCELLENT staff and food prices. Flexible and accommodating can't fault it- highly recommend $60 seafood platter for 2!!

Great authentic old school pub..that I hope stays the same as it is for the next 40 years

Poor signage on the outside, we had trouble finding the reception to check in to the hotel - Eventually went to the bar and the guy went and found the manager to check us in. The room was VERY hot as everything was closed up and no fans or aircon was turned on and it took a few hours to get the temperature down to a somewhat comfortable level. Went into the bar around 7pm to order some food and the bar guy said we have about 15 minutes to go and order from the bistro but it was all closed up and we couldn't get in there so had to go and get dinner elsewhere. We went and bought some items from the nearby IGA for lunch the next day only to have to throw it all out in the morning as the fridge didn't work... what a complete waste of money. We left just before 6am - lucky we planned an early departure otherwise we would've been woken up by the very loud staff member in the hallway right outside our room.

Best local.At the moment they have Gordon's Premium Pink Distilled Gin on special for $44.This blush-coloured gin is a delightful drop. Its made from natural red fruits, including raspberries, strawberries and blackcurrants, along with the usual dry gin botanicals.I recommend enjoying this sweet, slightly tart gin neat, tonic or made into a pink spritz with a dash of prosecco, lemonade fresh strawberries and blueberries Easy parking, fabulously friendly service and extensive range in all categories to suit everyone Hours are also very convenient being open from 9am - 9pm Sunday to Wednesday and 9am - 10pm Thursday to Saturday.

It's okay. Very small pub menu, and the place looks tired and in need of a refresh. Still, nice cold beer on a hot day is always welcome.

Great value rooms in a excellent quite location. Restaurants, shops and a lovely walk by the water a short walk away.

I will start by setting the food was good but what place serving steaks doesn't have peppercorn sauce on the menu? The kids meals were more like toddler meals. If you go there make sure you get your wine from the bottle shop, keep the receipt and pay corkage....or get stung 27 dollars for a 500 ml carafe.
