Was in today and had a Schnitty, chips and salad. Decent portion considering what you get elsewhere these days, beer garden was nice, beers - ice cold. Don't get down to Manly often enough but what more could you want.

Friendly staff, service was pretty quick, food was great minus a bit of the parma was burnt black.

Worst fish and chip award goes to Ivanhoe Hotel Manly! The fish was so, sooo bland. Chips only saviour. Standout: 'the salad'. ??'?

I have hosted many large events at the Ivanhoe and Taylor and the team do a wonderful job. They are excellent at communication before the event, the set up, and during the event. The managers are so polite and helpful and always attentive with every request that I have had. The security is fantastic, always present and keeping an eye on things. The food is perfect, the pizzas are amazing and the chef times the service perfectly for the event. Over all, great value for money, great location and the best venue that I have used.

Decent quality food and cold beers. However, it's order at the bar and self service with cutlery, tableware etc.

No issues with self service, but they then charge a 15% mark up service charge on the final bill. This is very rare for Sydney and almost non-existent for a self- service diner.

The place is big and staff are accommodating. We had a great lunch here and it was wonderful. Food was really delicious. It seems like there's a new chef in town as it was not like this a year before.

Good spot for a pub feed in Manly. Central, which makes it easy to get to the beach and hop back on a ferry back to the city if need to. Beers are ice cold, which is a bonus.

I've been in Australia for 4 years and never faced racism until today when I made the worst decision of my life to step into Ivanhoe Hotel in Manly. We had a bag of chips from Maccas (kid with me), and the manager came and very rudely picked up the bag starting to take it away. And then when we asked him to leave the bag, he said 'pick it up, put in your bag and close the zip of your bag' in the rudest, racist way you can't even imagine. When we pointed that out that he needs to at least speak politely, he said you can't bring outside food - fair and I'm not denying that, but the way he spoke to us for the 3-4 minutes telling us to zip pick up, pack and zip up our bag was downright rude and racist. For a tourist place like Manly, this is surely not the behaviour you'd want from staff, the malicious attitude and behaviour from this manager, knowing that there was a kid sitting right there was just inexplicable and unpardonable. I will never visit this "RACIST" place ever again and would never recommend Ivanhoe Hotel to anyone. Shame on places that still believe just because they are white, they are entitled to treating non-whites with disrespect, and forcing them to leave the place.

I took the folks to Ivanhoe Hotel Manly on Boxing Day. Really didn't know what to expect, however we were delighted with the service, the food and the atmosphere. I had the chicken schnitty, which was delicious. Dad had the Beer battered flathead, and was blown away by it. Mum had the squid calamari salad, which was extremely fresh, healthy and tender. The food was delivered in about 5-10min. Reasonable prices. Good service. Would visit again.

This place was an old favourite. It's been quite a while since we've returned due to moving and it was extremely disappointing. The wings were dry and lacked flavour. The chips use to be beer battered. Now they're just cheap undercooked straight cut chips.
The squid was tasteless and a frozen product. I did get a side of red wine jus and it tasted like warmed up salad dressing. It also came in a very tiny plastic tub. I can't say the service was very warm either. Major disappointment.

The actual place was aesthetically nice and the security guard got me water, but they closed the kitchen ten minutes early so I had nothing for dinner that night (went across the street for ice-cream). I got there as early as I could after work finished and they said the kitchen closes at 9pm but yeah they wouldn't take my order at 8:50pm.

Staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered a gluten free ham and pineapple pizza with no sauce base and it came out hot.. smelt great, looked fantastic and was absolutely delicious. I took half back to the motel for dinner as it was so large. Certainly will be back when I'm down on holiday again. Keep up the great work guys

Got the grilled chicken salad with avocado, tomatoes and grilled corn.
Pretty bland and covered in so much oil it was not very nice to eat.
Shame as it looked good when it came out.

I recently had my 40th birthday at the Ivanhoe and it was flawless! The service, area, food, drinks, music, everything was just perfect. Steve and his staff were so helpful and attentive - couldn't have asked for better. I had the best time, as did all of my guests. Highly recommend

I recently had my 21st birthday party in the beer garden and the night went perfectly from start to finish with thanks to Steve and his super friendly staff and their amazing attention to detail. Everyone has been raving about the night, the venue was perfect and I would definitely highly highly recommend you and your team.

The "Events Manager" if you could even call him that is atrocious.
I went 2 weeks without hearing back after enquiring about having our event there, I ended up booking else where as we couldn't wait any longer.
Thought to give a second chance and same deal.
The money he would be loosing this company would be interesting to know.
If I could give 0 stars I would.

Burgers and fries were delicious! Had the wagyu and Barra burgers. Wasn't expecting waiting service, easygoing staff, clean premises, great venue for a casual bite near the beach. NB: if you ask for chilli sauce, they give you the chicken wing sauce, pretty tasty. The only icecream they serve is chocolate icecream, no vanilla

Went to my niece's birthday party which was held in the downstairs alfresco area, great vibe and very private. Staff were friendly and went the extra mile to ensure the guests were well looked after. The asian food buffet and antipasto plate was very nice. Gourmet pizza's were amazing. Great selection of beers on tap with great bar service.

Big venue for teenagers only. The terrace is very nice. However the staff is rude and does not make any effort to satisfy their customers when they are ordering drinks. Also the food is so bad, they do not know how to serve a good basic burger.

Best pub ever. Just had hens night there. Best Pizzas EVER. Great selection. Great staff. You have to try their Pizzas!!!

Got there late but they still took our meals order. Had basic pub food but the staff and atmosphere were terrific. We are on the wrong side of 50 but loved the music and could not get over staff coming up to us and just checking if all was good. Whoever is in charge of training job well done, we will be back. Forgot to take a photo sorry.

Place is bright, modern and inviting. Food was delicious when we finally got it about 1 and half hours after ordering (sirloin and fillet mignon). The indigestion that followed, not so great as we were then in a rush to get to work. It was a Sunday evening, ordered at 17:50 and didn't get to eat till 1930 due to a mix up. A free drink and apology was given though.

Went here for a work function in the beer garden 1st floor. Great venue, centrally located in the main area of Manly. Friendly helpful staff. Tapas finger food was served for our meal. Super Tasty and great selection. One of our workmates was a vegan and the venue wasn't informed prior to us turning up. The staff went out of their way to cook a special meal for him. Highly recommend this venue. Will definitely be going back there when I travel to Sydney next.

I celebrated my 50th birthday at the Ivanhoe Hotel on Saturday 31st October 2020. The manager, Vanessa was FANTASTIC in ensuring my day was so special. She went above and beyond in every aspect of the planning; including the right space for the group, decorations, the timing for bringing out the food and birthday cake, every detail was thought through well, making the day run smoothly with ease, where I was able to relax and enjoy time with my family and friends.Thank you Vanessa for being on top of everything, you made organising the day look so easy because you are relaxed, helpful, warm, kind and always smiling. My guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, how delicious the pizzas were (they really are DELICIOUS) and the fun ambiance.I want to also thank all of the staff, the cooks and bar staff who were kind, helpful and filled everyone up with really yummy food!A warm heartfelt THANK YOU!!!

Always love the Ivanhoe. Staff are friendly, great setting....one of my favourites in Manly. Sure miss the live music there too. Love it!!

Easy access on The Corso in Manly. Loved my sweet potato and chickpea with samosas for dinner. I met family here most times when I come to Sydney. Always get good service, good food, reasonably priced drinks in as great seeing. This was my grandfather's watering hole 60-70 years ago and it's worth keeping up the family tradition. There are a variety of settings within the hotel. It has gone to great lengths to be Covid safe. It has good disability and pram access and is even close to public (paid) parking. A pub worth visiting.
