Steak night is Wednesday
Curry night is Thursday.
Sunday roast is a lunchtime thing.
We joined as social members ( cost us nothing) but the benefits are big. Discounts on food and beverages.
The view over the 18th hole is offered by the big picture windows.
There are 3 distinct areas to sit. Inside, in the large comfortably furnished dining room, adjacently at the seating area by the Pro shop, or outside in the protected undercover terrace.
The prices are really decent.
The sunset opportunities during happy hour are a photographer's dream.

Absolutely disgraceful the management are rude unprofessional and entitled. I would definitely save your time and money then visiting the kooringal golf club.
Staff management in the photo inappropriate behaviour.

Any good reviews written most likely the staff or friends of the managers.

They treat their customers poorly the food is extremely terrible my dog wouldn't even eat it it's tasteless and pricey.

I don't recommend the golf club at all if I could give 0 stars that would be it.

First time at Bistro and ordered seniors pasta with prawns, when it arrived I had a big bowl of pasta with 2 prawns. 4 of my friends ordered the same and one had 8 prawns and the other 2 had 7 prawns. Waitress said she would get me extra prawns to add to my pasta but I had finished my pasta and they forgot about the extra prawns. Paid $20 for for some pasta and an oily sauce and 2 prawns. Not very impressed
Won't recommend or return. Very bad first experience at this clubs bistro.

Wednesday steak night was a beauty.
Great portion.
But gravy should be on the side instead, it will be better.
Staffs were nice.
There was no cocktail on offer. That's a missing piece of this place.

We stopped because it looked so pretty and excited for some lunch ..
We ordered 3 entrees Calamari , Spring Rolls, and Saganaki ....
The calamari was very very under done swimming on a bed of mayo the saganaki was still hard and completely cold with a maple syrup dressing which did not go with it at all ? and the spring rolls ( the best thing out of the lot) were mediocre and scorching hot whilst the rest was borderline cold...kinda felt like we were having Christmas leftovers I gave 2 stars for the view only.

The staff were very poker faced and bored looking. The exception is the staff in the food service area, who were cheerful and helpful.
We found the course a little boring.

Won't be back.

This well-managed golf course offers a challenging experience, particularly with its greens. The course is meticulously maintained, ensuring an enjoyable round for golfers seeking a test of skill.

Beautiful atmosphere, chefs are really good, really good service here. All in all was a very welcoming and accommodating experience and I highly recommend this venue.

Only 2 complaints are,
1- not enough vegetarian options
2- double check your bill before you pay as I was overcharged. It could have been an innocent mistake though.

Used this venue for a Celebration of Life service for a family member.
Nelson was just so easy and understanding to deal with making the whole event run so smooth.
Food was amazing, on time and plentiful and our family was welcomed and looked after in our time of sadness.

Thank you to the venue, particularly Nelson for your outstanding hospitality.

Kooringal hosted my daughters first birthday and the whole day ran really smoothly. Were we able to set up early with vendors, then Nelson the functions manager made sure every request we had was addressed. The food was amazing and the bar was fully serviced. Will be having all future functions at the club. Thanks all!

This place is super clean and modern they even have a member shuttle bus for locals up to 5km pick up and drop off.

Place is usually pretty busy they must have some pretty impressive chefs here as it's always pumping.

They have a bar with tons of different variety for beers so plenty to choose from.

Will be having my engagement party here as they do venue stuff as well got a great deal on it.

Amazing food with excellent service. Staff are very attentive and meals were delicious and all served at the same time. Our new favourite local restaurant. Congratulations to the new Chef Luke on the new menu. The atmosphere with the live guitarist/ singer on Friday nights was wonderful.

Seniors Parma & Seniors Thai Green Curry with Coconut Rice, Chilli jam & Roti $20 and Delicious with a Caputal D!! Beautiful, fan of the new Chef!!

crazy fast greens I have experienced, even most of greens look like not steepy. clean and well managed fairway, it really deserves 80 dollar fee. members I met on course are friendly.

Dined here on Thursday, which had a buy one meal receive the second half price.
My husband ordered a meal from menu book and myself a meal from specials board. Each meal was $30 and a bottle of wine for $28.
Upon paying bill , we were told we couldn't have the deal as one meal was off the specials board and not the menu.
Very bad for business

Solid pub meals in a bistro style environment.

With a lack of proper pubs in Altona the next best thing is the range of local sports clubs.

Kooringal is a very solid option, with a decent pub style menu that includes a range of classics.

My recent visit saw me order the Parma with Gravy off the restaurant menu and it definitely delivered in size and quality. Big slab of chicken with decent toppings and a big amount of chips and salad sides. Chicken quality was decent without being amazing.
Love the selection of beers, in particular the Balter XPA on tap.

Service was friendly and they let me get member prices after I signed up online whilst I was in the venue.

Have also come on steak night which was a good deal, with a good sized and quality steak, would recommend!

Our experience at Kooringal Golf Club was awesome.We hosted our Son's 5th birthday party yesterday.
The food was really great..we ordered light snacks package. Our guests were happy and really enjoyed the food.
Thanks to Nelson and other staff members for organising the party. It was really great ??

Our group recently dined at Kooringal Golf Club, Altona, where we very excitedly had our end of year Christmas Lunch! It almost felt like normal times with lots of cheer, Kris Kringle gifts and holiday hugs.

The venue was lovely for a booking of 20 plus with lots of space and carpet which was great for noise control as we are definitely a chatty bunch ?

The room was divided in two by solid partitions for an event but were told by ladies that had previously dined that usually you can see across the green while dining.

It was a solid menu for a golf course dining room with items like Traditional Bruschetta, Salt & Pepper Calamari (nice & crispy), Asian Beef Salad, Scotch Fillet served with chips and salad and choice of sauce, Sopressa Pizza to Jambalaya. Bonus was the Seniors menu with mains for $15 and desserts for $5, these were the same as the main menu in a slightly smaller serving size.

The desserts list was simple but classic with Sticky Date or Bread & Butter Pudding and Pavlova which were received well.

Nice place, good food, a bit pricey unless you're having seniors meals
Service was a bit hit and miss. Orders were forgotten, by the time some at our table got their dessert, others were already finished their meal. Not over all it was nice

Great layout for a golf course, it is a seriously challenging course. It is tree lined and tight, not long but you need to respect the holes with strategic in your position off the tees. The members are very friendly and welcoming. The staff in the proshop are awesome as they remember you even when it's been 12months between visits. They are very knowledgeable and very willing to help. The course is presented very well, and is in very good conditions for the wet winter we are experiencing so far. Greens are fast but also responsive with good approach shots.
Recommend a visit and game. A must to call and make booking first as this is a private run club. The restaurant area is well spaced and very good quality meals are served. Highly recommend a visit.

Always enjoy shopping at Coles butcwas surprised that I didn't have to check in on entry.

Great course usually found in great condition. The course plays as nice as traditional eastern suburbs courses. This club has a progressive attitude and is very open and welcoming. The pro shop is stocked well and there are some knowledgeable fitters.

Great entertainment on the deck & sun shinning = Happy Days!

Great meal, the pie was lovely, Turkey and Veg. The girls took good care of us all the time, a great day out, and our first visit to Alton for 10 months. Gazing at the Golf Course was an added bonus.

It's good one can eat outside again. Nice for a quiet meal. It's not a five star restaurant but a good homestyle meal that is quite enjoyable.
