Great club ice cold beer fantastic venue

Friendly low key place, outdoor deck, Bar (with Happy Hour prices throughout the week), good wholesome reasonabley priced meals, earn points as a Social Members ($5 annually), and use points for meals, drinks...regular entertainment at no cost to patrons, highly recommend

Harvest Home Avenel is a most delightful experience for an overnight stay as was ours or a few nights stay. The accommodation is old worldly surrounded by beautiful gardens, swimming pool and outdoor wining and dining. It is an extremely pleasant atmosphere not least the warm and friendly staff. We ate dinner and breakfast which was exceptional accompanied by a lovely beer and wine selection. The only issue I would advise of is, like most places read the fine print of the cancellation policy as one of our party had to cancel within the week before due to contracting Covid and were deemed ineligible for a partial refund, or redeeming voucher.

Enter the cafe via the side entrance and be transported into the secret garden. The most stunning backdrop to a delicious and abundant breakfast. Linen tablecloths and napkins top off the classy experience. The coffee was great and the meal was tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit! Loved the cute little town of Avenel too. I could not rate the rooms as I didn't stay here but the restaurant/cafe was a 5 star for me!

We have been going to Harvest Home for 25 years. It is a stunning unique old homestead restuarant/pub. The gardens and outdoor dining areas are immaculate and the best I have seen in any regional venue. Definitely worth the 1 hour 15 min. trip from Melbourne for lunch or dinner but even better if you stay in the beautifully appointed Victorian hotel rooms and make a the most of your stay. Highly recommended. Very relaxing.

My daughter and I took a road trip specifically to stay at the Harvest Home in Avenel. We stayed for three delightful nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time. I picked this hotel for the quality of the menu, the gorgeous renovation of the building and the crystalline pool and we enjoyed some amazing breakfasts, delicious dinners and relaxing snacks in the gardens. Highly recommend. And a great location to visit local wineries!

This is a perfect historic pub getaway.

The interiors are gorgeous, the suites charming with an attention to detail, and the gardens / balcony are lovely enough to not want to leave. Compliments to the chef - we ate the chicken supreme, pork belly & barramundi for dinner and all sensational, at a very reasonable price.

Overall there is a care & authenticity that really shines through in how this beautiful venue is operated. I was impressed.

Went to Club Altona for a work function, the service was excellent, the venue clean and inviting, the atmosphere great and the food and drinks well priced and plentiful. Well done Club Altona!

Attended to see live music. I'm in a wheelchair... staff were all extremely helpful... it was a very enjoyable experience - so easy - I almost felt normal ! I've been back a few times. Thank-you.

Different to typical play centre. Used to be great food while an ok place for kids to play. Now food has dropped a little bit still way better than typical play centre

Went to club Altona yesterday and while it's a beautiful place the lady behind the bar who I believe is a supervisor or manager is down right rude with her body language and the way she spoke to me I honestly can't say I'm impressed if you don't like the industry don't be in it, but the lovely male bar man was very kind and worked very hard, food was good atmosphere was amazing

Great place for some drinks in the sun.

Gone to see The Marty Rose band in last few weeks and saw them earlier in the year. Always go in earlier for a lovely meal. Always very very good. Staff very friendly too. See you in 2023.

We where there for the Sunday afternoon live music. The band was great. The beer was cold and a fun time was had by all. Only problem was there was only finger food available. Some solid food was required after all that drinking and dancing.

Great local bowls club. Simple but tasty food, great deck out the back, well priced drinks and live music on a Sunday afternoon. Love it!

Great place. People are fantastic and even though we did not have a meal, there prices look very reasonable.

What a fantastic Club, Our staff have been working here installing glass windows. All of the members onsite were very friendly and accommodating even offering both boys lunch and a drink while working. Thank you!
