Great place, Lots of seating and relaxing atmosphere! Food was delicious! Good bar too! Right in the centre of the town.

I am actually sat down giving my review having just finished an absolutely fantastic meal. We had some taster menu starters and I followed them up with a 300g wagyu rib fillet. The starters were very tasty and nicely varied and presented. My steak which I had ordered rare was cooked to perfection. My other half had ordered some pork ribs in a sweet sauce which she says is delicious,(I had some and I agree). The service has been very good, attentive staff and prompt serving of our meal. I can thoroughly recommend the IronBar, really pleased.??'???'???'?

300g scotch fillet dry aged steak was tender and cooked perfectly! Lamb was delicious also!
The service was fantastic - all the team were attentive and pleasant. Unfortunately the G&T was a little flat but other than that all very enjoyable.

Excellent food, the oysters with pineapple, beef fat and Habanero were so good. Had the lamb cutlets and ribs which were amazing, genuinely some of the best ribs I've tasted! Would highly recommend!

Great place. Great staff and service. We ate there several times over our stay. Had pork ribs at lunch, they're fell off the bone. Their fish was stunning, so was there tassie steak... great experience all around. 2023 Back again ! Great place ! Our son came on this trip he polished a rack of ribs and mac and cheese. Then, next night, he had a steak. I love the bowl of greens. You guys really know your business. Well done, see you again in 2024...

Love the vibes coming from this place. Friendly staff, great alcohol selections and well cooked food. A small wait on the food but came out fresh and hot. Ordered the Fried Chicken Burger and the Beef Burger. No complaints!

A lovely rustic feel seated on the footpath side near the road which worked out well as the evening was pretty quiet. We ordered drinks a Bloody Mary and Ginger beer followed by a doz oysters cooked three ways and scallops. All were lovely, then mains of lamb and chicken skewers and an apple and rhubarb crumble to finish. All were presented beautifully and very tasty. All table service and Bernice was very attentive and amenable, so thank you IronBar.

I have spent five weeks in Australia and have not eaten at any restaurant or bar more than once. I have eaten here THREE times, lovely oysters, great tasty food and very friendly service from the staff. Have 3-4 starters and treat it like a Tapas. Excellent atmosphere!!

Oyster happy hour is a must do. The food was absolutely beautiful and the best cocktails I have ever tried. Service was exceptional. Only thing I would change is to make the sides a little smaller and a bit cheaper

So happy with our dinner experience. Firstly, the staff were absolutely incredible and so kind and courteous, one of the staff members even offered to take a photo for us as we celebrated a special occasion. Value for money was definitely a tick, food was delivered quickly, and it tasted absolutely beautiful! Would definitely come back and highly recommend the Wagyu steak! I was also unsure of a particular wine, and they offered taste testing, which is great! ☺️ can't wait to go back!

Add a great night out with friends. The place has a nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. Had the oysters Kirkpatrick . The oysters were nice but the sauce was thick and not your standard Kirkpatrick just a bit heavy and over powering. We tried a couple of different steaks. A dry aged and a ribeye. Cooked as we asked and tasty. A bit on the pricey side but it's nice to spoil your self every now and then . Extensive wine menu again most on the pricey side. Overall don't go there for a cheap feed . Go there and enjoy some quality meat and wine and enjoy the night. All most forgot the deserts were very good

Can highly recommend the 'Black tyde Angus - aged scotch fillet' with the watermelon salad. This combo is both filling and refreshing.
The bar team make brilliant cocktails also - can recommend the long island iced teas & Moscow mules.
While the Iron Bar is in the more costly dining experiences in Port Douglas, it's money well spent if you're treating someone or yourself.

All round average experience, we were looking forward to eating here as lovers of aged meats but left less than excited.
Pork ribs were tough and over cooked, the beef did not have any strong aged flavours, for me the best part of the meal was the corn, given this I feel the menu is quite over priced for what it is.
The staff were pleasant, particularly the young lady serving us she was lovely, engaging and happy to hear our feedback

Bookings recommended. Great steaks. Nice taste sides. Lovely cocktails, recommend the Princess of Monaco. The grilled prawns were very nice, should be a main dish as they were delicious as was the deconstructed desert. Serving staff were very pleasant. Recommended it to another couple who also ate there. On the main street outdoor and indoor seating.

BEAUTIFUL Food and drinks. Steak was cooked perfectly and a good cut. Sides were tasty and well worth it. Mothers day dinner done right, service was great. We loved Iron Bar.

The oysters are to die for!! Steak is by far one of the best ones I've had definitely worth the $$$ Staff here are wonderful and very attentive to your needs. Really couldn't fault anything here, would definitely revisit again if we come down to port Douglas.

Delicious food! Especially loved the tiny Yorkshire puddings with the steak. Cooked perfectly and the cocktails were excellent! Not the cheapest but worth the money! Staff were very friendly and attentive too.

Rustic venue. Came here for happy hour and a cheese plate. Cheeses were delicious. Came back for dinner another night and they managed to squeeze 10 of us without a booking - legends. Staff were lovely. Steak was good.

Wow, what a place. The food, we ate there twice on our holiday and everything we had was to die for. The steaks wow cooked to perfection, tender and delectable. The watermelon salad, was sensational. What can i say about the staff, they were all so friendly but V she was amazing. Very attentive to our table, my partner proposed here and V made it extra special. Then we went upstairs to the gaming room and Kerrie the bartender nothing was too much, he assisted me in putting bets on, very friendly yet professional. If you want a decent meal in a down to earth place this place is a must go in Port Douglas.

Went here for the happy hour 4-6 oysters. Oysters were great. Unfortunately, menu and staff misleading and the happy hour did not cover all oyster, only the natural oysters. Even though more than enough natural oysters were ordered to warrant happy hour price, I was still charged full price. When the bill came and I questioned the error there was no time reasoning and they acted as if I was wrong. Menu needs to be more detailed and staff need to be more understanding.

Love this place! Mac n. Cheese, fish and chips and the beer jugs were perfect! Also the staff were lovely, attentive and everything we needed. Thank you. The only thing I can say bad, was that the fans were not turned on outside.... lucky we sat inside where it was cool.

Really Cool bar. A large range of beers and cocktails on the menu. Service was very friendly and fun. Prices are very reasonable. We ARE coming back to try the Dry Aged Beef.

Sensational meals. The sides were flavour bombs. What a great surprise this place was. Great decor. Loved the music. Had a great time with the tables around us.

Incredible food. We had a feast of rib eye steak, the seared tuna starter, and a whole bunch of sides. Its pricey but everything was cooked to perfection and perfect for a hearty meal after a big day. Their house craft beers were also excellent. We highly recommend the watermelon salad, the seared tuna starter, and the charred carrots.
