Birthday Dinner too Remember 😋 Seafood extravaganza!! ðŸĪðŸĶŠðŸĶðŸĶžðŸĶ€ðŸ™???'🐟 This is a great place if you don't have a booking. We came here twice for Dinner while on holiday & we were lucky enough too walk straight in & be seated at a table. After trying of places & food around Port Douglas I think this is the best place. Priced well & the food is well portioned & tastes good. Views are great too ??'?

Awesome spot for an afternoon drink and meal to watch the sun set. If dining, there may be a wait for a table, they provide a buzzer to alert you to your table being ready. Head on upstairs while waiting and enjoy the beautiful views with a drink in hand.
The food was fantastic, we had the salmon and a fried fishermans basket. Time for a table at 5pm was 45 minutes but with this view who cares....

Top place to visit for atmosphere, great service and very good value meals and drinks.

We came at 4pm and it was amazing sitting on the decking watching all the larger yachts and tour boats return from their trips. Food was also very much on point.

Delicious meals, had to wait 45 minutes for a table as it was really busy at 6 o clock so would recommend either going really early at 5 or wait until 7:30ish when it dies down. They gave us a buzzer though to go off when a table was ready and sent us up to the bar which was nice that we didn't have to stand downstairs and wait. Bar cocktails were really enjoyable also. Beautiful views on the deck of the water and decent menu options (would have loved to order a burger but unfortunately they are lunch only) but other than that we really enjoyed our meals and they came out quickly!

The food was decent, with a variety of dishes that catered to different tastes. What truly stood out was the atmosphere - dining with a stunning view of the sea made the experience memorable. The ambiance is cozy and perfect for a relaxing meal. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate good food paired with a beautiful seaside view. Special shout to fresh oysters.

We hopped off the cruise ship for some lovely Port Douglas vibes. This place did not disappoint.
We got there early and sat at the waters edge on the fabulous covered balcony.
Lovely service by the bar tender and we sat for probably 90 minutes and watched the water and boats drift by. We didn't order any food but enjoyed a leisurely drink whilst enjoying the view.
A relaxing sojourn by the sea and highly recommend a drop in even if you're just passing by.

We took a day trip to Port Douglas from Cairns and were lucky to come across The Tin Shed hoping for a delicios seafood lunch and this place was exceptional! The restaurant sits above the beautiful sparkling water with warm ocean breezes. Service was excellent with great attitudes from all employees. But the seafood lunches were the icing on the cake. Very creative plating and perfectly cooked fish! Delicious food and great atmosphere. Would definitely return!

The food was just ok. The shrimp bucket sounds cool, but it's just ok. The view is nice if you're able to sit on the edge. It's set up that u order ur food one place and your drinks at the bar, and they bring it to ur table with ur number. They told us we could sit wherever, but then when we tried to move when others got up, they were rude about it and said we had to put our names down for the front view... But they never told us that when we got there or we would have out our names down! That was frustrating... Maybe better for drinks. Won't return here personally.

Our group had the best time, we always do. We are the Port Douglas Pith Helmet Club & love both the personable & professional style shown by all members of the Tin Shed Team.
From the moment you arrive until departure - the whole vibe is positive & fun. The menu is extensive - all palates are catered for & the food always delicious & very generous. Drinks are 'club prices'.
As locals we love this venue.
Happy hours upstairs in a/c, raffle draws.
Congratulations Team Tin Shed.

Arrived as a walk in on Aussie Day and was directed to top bar area for about 10min wait then seated.
Service was exceptional and food was delicious ðŸĪĪ, the Seafood Tutto had beautiful tasty seafood throughout, Aussie Burger and chips were amazing and kids fish and chips was perfect and huge. We also tried the 🐊 croc spring rolls and they were absolutely flavourful and left you wanting more (even know we were in a food coma) ðŸĪĪ thanks for a wonderful visit and will definitely be back before we head home.

We arrived during happy hour on a weekday and the place was crowded. The experience might have been better if we were able to grab a seat on the outside deck overlooking the sea. Our bartender had a bit of a negative attitude. The hot chips were very greasy. We didn't stay long because of the negative bartender. The views from this location are beautiful. I guess it's hard to hire good staff.

We went there on a Tuesday for lunch . Highly recommend you book as it was really busy. We hadn't book so we had to wait 20 minutes in the bar upstairs, with the great veiw, it wasn't very hard. We were given a table near the water which was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were served quick and the food was yummy. There were disabled toilets and a lift to get up to the bar upstairs.

Well worth a booking, fantastic service, great food at reasonable prices for the location and with impeccable views. Could not fault this place. So many restaurants could take a leaf out of the sheds book!

If there were more like this the seats would be full every night of the week. Hats off to the staff and management on this one and all round 5 star winner.

Best place in town for a family feed and the views are simply Devine. Portions are generous & the Reef Burger was amazing. Steer clear of Surfies and eat here. You will need to book tho. Enjoy and well done Tin Shed âĪïļ

Nice little place that served essentially pub meals. Cocktail bar upstairs where you can wait for a dinner table- no bookings required unless you have a party of 5 or more. Cocktails are pricey but very nice. Good selection of meals and would be good place for a sunset if the clouds would disappear!. Nice night out.

Wow what a view! If you only go to one place in Port Douglas make it 'The Tin Shed'. Food is great and the drinks are cold, but the location is fantastic. Staff are accommodating and willing to help. Full marks here

Mixed feedback on our visit at the Tin Shed. My wife had an excellent meal where as my steak was raw, I most definitely asked for medium rare not blue. The kids meals were appropriately sized and they were also happy. We visited at 11.30am and ordered as soon as lunch started so it was quiet and I wondered why the meals came out under 10mins. A great view and a nice restaurant otherwise.

This place does not take reservations so be prepared to reach early or wait. The preferred tables are next to water and you will have to be lucky to get that.

The food was good. We ordered seafoods platter, garlic bread, Turkish bread and prawns. The quantity was more than expected and at the end two of us could not finish food we ordered.

Really nice views overlooking the water and a killer sunset to boot. The food portions are huge and good bang for your buck. The service was fast and friendly, but be warned, it's walk-in only; first come, first served. Which means if you're hoping to watch the sun set over the water, you need to be there on the dot as they open. However, they do have a good bar upstairs where you can get a drink and wait, and still have lovely views.

Great lunch here today. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Caesar salad with prawns was absolutely delicious. Plenty of bacon, croutons and lovely white anchovies. The prawns were plump and fresh. I enjoyed the ginger beer on tap. Definitely would go back to this beaut restaurant with the lovely sea view.

Great spot for an evening meal, watching the sunset or the rolling clouds come down over the scenic mountain backdrop.
Staff were friendly, food was excellent.
Had the red emperor special of the day.
Delicious!
Highly recommended and we will back back again.

We went to the Tin Shed as walk-ins and we were given a buzzer pad and went up stairs to get a drink. The process was very smooth and we didn't wait long before we were called to our table. The food was well cooked and served promptly.

Lovely food overlooking the mountains and waterways of Port Douglas. Very relaxing watching boats come and go, birds flying and fish jumping.
It can be a bit warm as it's open air but there are fans to keep the air moving.

We had a wonderful experience here. It was a sparkling day and this is a seriously special location. We shared the Sashimi of the Day followed by the Salt & Pepper Calamari and the Blue Lip Muscles....Delicious.! A perfect lunch. Don't skip this place. The upstairs bar is awesome too.

Fabulous!

Probably one of the best places in Port Douglas to dine and enjoy the sun setting over the water.

Add to that, very nice meals and FNQ ambience like you have never experienced.

Well worth booking early to get your deck table sorted.

Might be okay if you can get in! Recommended on our trip on the Lady Douglas today. Tried to book a table for four in the afternoon but told no bookings; only take bookings for large groups.
So we arrived at 6.30pm only to be told, pretty abruptly that it would be an hour and a half wait for a table. Maybe a good way to increase bar sales but can't understand why a booking can't be made. Sorry, I'm a local but won't be back and will not be recommending to any of my associates,
PS. You need someone on the front desk that has a bit of personality and some customer service skills.

Location is fantastic, with great views of the waterway and marina. Food was nice and the wait staff were great. Unfortunately the service manager (male) was quite rude and abrupt with many patrons including us. Ruined an otherwise lovely meal experience.

Food was excellent! Cheers to chef and kitchen staff!
All floor staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful, .... except for the front of house floor or staff manager who was working at the time.
He was acting edgy/unsettling and was quite passive aggressive!
He definitely made the dining experience less pleasant.
The views from the deck are amazing!

Loved the location and views. Food was average.
I had the seafood platter. Prawns were a bit weird. There aren't enough fans to reach all the tables so if you want to sit right next to the ocean on a hot day it's a terrible idea if you like to eat and sweat at the same time. ðŸĪŠ However night time is probably better but you can't see the ocean.

My partner and I decided to visit the Tin Shed on the last night of our 4 night stop-over at Port Douglas. This place is nothing short of amazing! We decided to arrive early (5:30pm) to see the sunset however they were already at capacity. The amazing friendly wait staff were incredible and directed us to the up stairs bar where we were greeted by a super friendly bartender. When a table was available (right by the water!) they called us down well before sunset. The meals were nothing short of amazing!! We ordered the calamari and the pork ribs and they were both Devine. When you can eat pork ribs clean with just a knife and fork, you know youre into a winner! We have already decided that we will return, we dont know when or how but we will definitely be back!

If youre in or near Port Douglas, find time to visit the Tin Shed. You will not regret it! Great waterfront location with delicious food and drinks but not the matching price tag. Service is impeccable and its family friendly. If youre into seafood, order the mussels. Tasty tomato based sauce, no overly fishy taste and perfectly toasted bread to dip in. Youre welcome.

I wouldnt waste your time or money! The managers customer service was horrid! They made sure to remind you over and over that you only have a certain amount of time to eat. We ordered 3 starters and 2 mains, however only 2 starters came out. When we asked someone about this, the manager then blamed us and told us we ordered the soup (in the starters menu) as a main. Why would we order 3 mains when there was only 2 of us! He then had a go at us because now we wouldnt be finished our mains by the next dinning session. Customer service 101: You never blame the customer for a misunderstanding! Absolutely horrible customer service. The food itself was only okay. The only good thing was the view of the water and the mountains from the restaurants deck. So if youre willing to make that sacrifice for a good view, then good luck.
