We had a late afternoon lunch of fish with chips and salad, and a beer and cannot fault. Sat on the deck with a view over the ocean. Kitchen is open all afternoon, great for those who can't eat late. Nice selection of beer with a few speciality beer.. and alcoholic soft drinks. Can't see why it scores less than 4, hope this helps up the scores

Always good here. This is the second time I've been. Reasonably priced food. Good choices and lovely views of the ocean.

Large eating area, lots of parking, food was good after orders lost but worth the wait. Maybe a number system when serving a table of 22.

Absolutely loved visiting here. Staff were so friendly, especially Cody and Skye. Cody kept us entertained all night and had the best personality. The food is not only amazing but they have huge meals for very low prices. If you are visiting the area I highly recommend visiting the Bargara Golf Club

This is a great venue right in the heart of Bargara. Awesome views overlooking the ocean, with inside and outside dining. The meals are great and very reasonably priced. The bar has a very good selection of beverages. Bistro/Pub style. If you are new to Bargara, definitely check it out. I would recommend making a booking if you are dining. This venue is also called Club Bargara.

Staff are very friendly, helpful & welcoming but the food- unfortunately it was not up to scratch at all. Definitely one of the worst quality meals I've had. Such a shame because the place apepars to have potential & is in a great spot.

Massive golf course for beginners! Really put me to the test! Was very hot due to the rain but loved it. It was quiet, too, and there was good value for money in 18 holes. The only thing was I couldn't find any water re filling stations around the course. Our course down here, on the GC, has them, and would be worth it when it's that hot and humid. Lovely staff, we would definitely go back.

Food took 90 minutes and looked good but could have been cooked better and wasn't worth the wait. It's disappointing considering it's a great location for food and drinks. As an upside the girl did say there was a 90 minute wait so I recommend asking before you sit down as they are fairly accurate with the time.

Fantastic. The air conditioning works really well, Barramundi was delicious, customer service is fantastic, beer is cold, and the view is stunning

If you are looking for a place to eat with a nice view of the ocean, this is it. The foods I had here are really nice have to wait for a bit but not a big issue. I asked for medium rare for my steak but got a well done (no biggie) still tasty though, and the steamed vegetables tasted fresh. Also had a crispy pork belly one time with a massive serving of salad.
It was good overall.

Nice 18 golf course, good greens and tight fairways. Unfortunately our golf day was soured with very slow play, due to 6 elderly men in the one group in front of us. They had numerous opportunities to call us through, but did not. Just check if you play here as after talking to the lovely lady in the pro shop, she is aware of this happening on other occasions. The 6 men play on a Monday. Anyway, happy golfing

Main meals are terrible. Seafood basket ? All you could taste was grease.

Very outdated venue would be nice if they renovated and their meals were nice as they are in a prime location.

They need a decent cocktail menu too.

We went to the Bargara Golf Club for dinner and found it to be a good local club to spend some time relaxing with friends at. The club facilities are good, if not a little dated. We had some meals which were very enjoyable and reasonably priced. The quality of the food was very good and it seemed very fresh, which an OK range of options on the menu. They have a good drinks range at the bar, and the staff seem very friendly and attentive. The club even has live music to sit and listen to from time to time as well. For those willing to have a flutter, they also have a range of gaming machine to try your luck at. If you are looking for a casual and relaxed place to have a meal and some drinks at Bargara, then the Bargara Gold Club should suit most people.

Food tasted better than it looked. I enjoyed the whole seafood basket with no bad food. Left the vegetables for the bin though. Mistakenly ordered vegetables.

Staff were lovely, decor was fresh and inviting, wine and beer choices were good. But someone needs to clean behind the toilet doors in the ladies. They were disgusting.

Bargara Golf Club Bistro is a terrible place to get a meal; not only is the Golf Club old, out of date and in tatters, the venue has no atmosphere what so ever; it felt like going to dinner at the Smiths Family Canteen. Unfortunately we did not read reviews prior to going (which was our mistake). We went on a Friday evening for dinner and it took over an hour for the food to come out, this is absolutely appalling. When our food was finally served there was no apology or any acknowledgement we had to wait a long time; the plates were simply plonked down on our table and the staff member just walked off. We ordered Oven Baked Barramundi and the Vietnamese Prawn Salad, both were terrible. The Barramundi was dry and tasteless and Vietnamese Prawn Salad was drowned in sweet chilli sauce, you could not taste anything but the sauce, it was "woeful" to say the least. So if your looking for a place to eat don't bother with Bargara Golf Club, it's a total waste of time and money

Was ok nothing spectacular, wasn't anything overly wrong with it. My order came out wrong because the person must have pressed the wrong button and never read it back to me. Other than that the views are good but it is a golf club.

Lovely location, good bar, but if you're visiting this place for the food, don't bother. Seems they currently have either an unqualified or uncaring chef. Waited over 2 hours for our lunch meals, with no explanation or follow up by the wait staff, who were all quite obviously hating their jobs and not wanting to be there.Finally when the meals arrived they were cold and overcooked, skimpy of portions and missing items. We've been regulars foe years and have noticed a steady decline. Sorry guys, you've just lost our business for good.

We held our mums wake at the golf club yesterday. The service by all the staff was amazing. Great food platters and the view from the front balcony area made it complete. Thank you so much guys we all appreciate it. Xxoo

We went this week for dinner and will not be going back.
The chicken&prawn dumplings tasted like chicken luncheon meat covered in tough batter and fried. Was not a pleasant meal at all.
Shame as we are local but there are many other clubs/pubs in our area with nice meals.

Meals were absolutely awful. Greasy, soggy and over-seasoned. Seats were peeling, carpets were dirty and stained, and there seemed to be mould on the ceiling.

Staff however were welcoming and lovely. Hopefully the club can be upgraded to reflect the great employees.

Two stars for the name and the view - the best parts - no dress standards (so expect thongs, hats on heads and plumbers cracks). The food took forever to come out and was so yuck all three of us ended up leaving it (along with a strong taste of garlic). They gave us the best steak knives and now we know why - the chicken schnitzel was TOUGH!!. The gravy was thick and older than me. The place is dirty and run down and stains everywhere - the pub would have been nicer !!

Had lunch at the restaurant. Great view out to the ocean from the patio. The butter chicken phyllo pastry was delicious

Greens were good but hard to hold a wedge shot. Layout was poor due to lack of signage. Bunkers were ok. Pro Shop staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

Best location and view in Bargara for quaffing a beer or eating a meal. Had the 300g rump @$23.00. Was not expecting much but happy with just 'a good steak' at that price. What a surprise!! Steak was absolutely excellent!! Quality of the meat was 5 ⭐️. Veggies were nice despite being boiled and presented in that RSL club style. Really enjoyed the meal, beer on tap and the view. Not the fanciest venue, looking a tad tired in places but congrats to the chef and whoever supplies their meat. Would have paid $40 for that meal even with the rather casual veggies.

Had lunch and dinner at the Club because it was across the road from our accommodation. Staff friendly lunch a BLT was ok however the dinner was dreadful. It looked and tasted like hospital food. Bland, tasteless, unappealing. Obviously packet and frozen food just heated up. We tried to eat it but couldn't. Maybe a proper Chef who actually cooks the food from scratch. ???"

Came recommended to us for dinner by the place we're staying so we didn't bother to research more places & off we went to the Golf Club for a feed. That's all it was - a feed.
Staff - tick. Service - tick. Beers - tick. Wines - limited. Food - underwhelming. Price - $73 for food, which was reasonable. The vibe was nothing special, but staff were friendly.

Very average food offerings. Rib fillet was definitely not worth $34, 10 bucks tops. Would not eat here again for the price vs quality.

Bargara Golf Club looks like a great place to golf. Unfortunately it poured most of the time over Easter break...However, the restaurant was a Godsend. A very lively place with two long tables of birthday parties. Great entertainment singing along with everyone (my family were not impressed!). Food from Schnitzel as large as a house and to die for Steak Burgers. I couldn't eat more for two days. Highly recommend!

Small club with great views. Can not fault the meals. Great place to visit with very friendly staff. Very nice outdoor area to take in the views. Meals are large and very well priced. Will definately return.

A table for 4 at their Bistro during Covid. Everything well organised and we enjoyed a very nice meal. Very nice facility and pleasant staff. Enjoyed our visit.

Dropped in for dinner not expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised. Typical pub fare however very nicely done and cheaper than I expected. Staff were friendly and efficient and the view on the balcony is great. Try to go when it's trivia night and your bang for buck night out is complete.

Well our first meal here. All 9 of us and every plate is empty. Lots of us had steak. Eye fillet and rib fillet. Cooked to perfection, with chips & salad and mash & veg. Absolutely yummo! Amie the waitress is just lovely as is all the staff here. We will be back!
