Our recent night out playing bowls then dinner was a lot of fun. We all had a great time but unfortunately my meal was inedible for me. The chilli prawns were so very spicy hot which I half expected but the entire meal was covered in coriander. I'm unable to put this stuff in my mouth and if the menu had indicated that the meal contained coriander, I would never have ordered it. Very disappointed (and hungry.)

This is my second review for here. The club is lovely and has lots of areas to sit and relax. Staff are considerate and helpful. My last meal was disappointing, this time I was hoping for more. The chicken burger was tasty, but the chicken patty was thin, overcooked and if it wasn't for the little bit of sweet sauce (see pic, more would have been better), I'd probably have taken it back. Partner had lamb roast and said it was delicious.

Went out for dinner here and was pleasantly surprised. The reviews weren't so good previously, so avoided it, but we will definitely be back next time we are in bagara. We had the lamb shank which was to die for, so soft and melts in your mouth with so much flavour, and the beef cheeks, they were melt in your mouth good. Had the sweet chilli cheese and bacon garlic bread for a starter. 100% would recommend stopping in for a meal and a beverage. Sorry about the half eaten food, forgot to take a picture first lol

First time to this club. Greeted by Chloe on the front desk. Lovely, personable & very knowledgeable. $1 life long membership. We joined. $6 schooner. Lots of gluten free options which is fantastic. Our meals tonight were delicious gf chicken bacon & spinach. Hubby had a stir-fry. Definitely recommend a visit.

We always have a great family night out at the bowls club. Great atmosphere, good service, relaxing place to spend timeout.

Great little club with nice decor, bistro, TAB and gaming area. I wasn't that hungry but they had a good menu selection with a light meal selection with a 100g rib fillet steak beautifully cooked. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The chicken stirfry was so salty I couldn't eat it, nor could my Dad.
My wife's salad was dry and tasteless with no dressing at all.
But!! On the upside, the overwhelming abundance of flies were extremely friendly, and attentive during our lunch.!

Rebuilding some years ago after big storms took the roof off this location is modern and spacious. It's a beachside town so the atmosphere has always been chilled. There's outdoor bowls/areas, decent sized bar, pokies/Keno, Bistro restaurant and coffee/cake options. Membership is available and pretty easy to get, prices are fair and staff all friendly and proficient. It gives the rebuilt Bargara beach hotel a Run for it's reputation for awesome place to have drinks and lunch/dinner it's advantage being that it's a little less expensive. Definitely ought to give this place a visit!

Such a great experience! The food was amazing, and all the staff were lovely. I wish I wasn't here on holiday, otherwise I'd be back often!

BEAUTIFUL meal, lovely friendly staff, atmosphere was contemporary and upmarket! Bathrooms were clean and modern and the drinks were prompt and well made. Well worth the visit and I'll return for the calming atmosphere when things are quiet there.

Visiting from Brisbane for the weekend and our hotel highly recommended Sandhills. We wandered down which was nice and close. Lovely welcome at the door and the staff member stated that she was new when we asked a question and she promptly went to find out the answer. She did a great job! Restaurant was jam packed but we ate outside. Meals were well priced and prompt to be delivered after waiting in line to order for about 20 minutes (I suggest a QR code at tables as many patrons were frustrated by this). Sitting outside and several children were running unsupervised screaming and so on, up and down the verandah and throughout the bowling greens. Parents probably on the pokies. Considering there is a kids club in the building this shouldn't be happening. Staff walked past these children several times. Surely in a club children are meant to be with an adult? Disappointing experience. 3 starts for the amazing yummy dinner and fantastic new employee at the door!

Had dinner with friends last Saturday night & ordered the flathead. An hour after eating it I had severe stomach cramps vomiting & the runs. Called and emailed them to let them know & never heard back from them again no apologies or follow up. Needless to say I won't be eating there again and I am a member. Dissapointed at the lack of care & customer relations.

The staff are so lovely here. My folks are elderly and the young staff are very kind to them.- shout out to Alena ? In particular -Good on you. And the foods pretty decent too.

Best bowling club we have ever been in. Parking is a premium on Sundays as it's very popular for lunch . The food is awesome. They also have some well priced specials . Very tasty . Membership is One dollar for life . You get that back on the first meal . We definitely will make this a regular stop .

Always crowded and noisy. Meals were disappointing this time. Chicken was a bit dry. The sweet lips fish piece was very thin and small.

Food was fairly quickly delivered and was very good. Kids meals are accompanied by an activity gift. The dining area was busy so fairly noisy. Would be giving the Bargara Hotel a fair bit of competition.

Thanks to Julie and Jimmy for a fun afternoon of barefoot bowling for our social group visiting Bargara.Very enjoyable.
The new clubhouse looks amazing and we'll be back soon for another roll up and a meal.

Absolutely loved this place. Our food came out fast and was so incredibly tasty! LOVED the option of a 'light meal', wish more restaurants would do this. Our toddlers meal came with a free ice cream, soft drink and a little activity book that was actually decent. There was also a play room for him to run around in with a lovely lady in there supervising who spent so much time with him. All the staff were so accommodating and just lovely to deal with. Highly recommend!!

A really nice, modern venue with great facilities and very friendly staff. Had a fantastic lunch here. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. The menu has lots of options to suit most tastes and dietary requirements and the food tasted very fresh. There are also many screens around the venue, to watch sport while catching up with friends or having a cool beverage.

A family group of seven dined at the bistro on Friday night. It was SO noisy that we could not hold a conversation. We had had a lunch group there a few weeks ago and the same thing.
The seating was good, the food was mostly quite good and the service was good considering how busy it was. Just unbearably noisy. We will not be coming back for a meal anytime soon unfortunately.

Dinner on a Friday night was fully booked. We had made a booking however someone forgot to reserve our table. Finally were seated in the dining area, and after a 20 minute wait to order food, was able to sit back at the table. Food was very well presented and tasty. The club was incredibly noisy which is to be expected.. Staff were nice and severely stressed by all the people

We had a family reunion recently, having booked a table weeks in advance. The chairs at our table were crammed in so close that we could not lift our arms to eat our meal. The noise in the dining area was so loud we could not wait to finish our meal and move outside near the bowling green area. This made for no conversation. The food was average, but I must say it came out very fast. The renovations are very nice, service at the bar was quite good. The courtesy bus is a bonus.

Bern there for dinner and morning tea. You definitely need to book early to get a table in the evening. My group booked 9 days ahead of our night out. Food was really great. Service at the bar/drinks area was a bit hit and miss - no clear signage as to where to order , people even pushed past us and got served. I think this area needs improvement.

The new club is not bad but there is always room for improvement.

As for the atmosphere it is very noisy and makes conversations are hard to hear.
While waiting for meals it makes it hard to hear the raffle numbers being drawn as it can only be heard down near the pokies. It needs a sound system that no matter where you are you can hear the raffle being drawn.

The new club looks fabulous but the meals are terrible! I had the steak with 'slaw' and chips. The steak was supposed to be medium rare but it was medium on one half and well done on the other. It was dry as an old boot! The chips were cold and dry and the 'slaw' was just thick cut onion with a bucket load of mayo. My partner had the texas ribs which were again dry and the marinade was sour. We used to be fortnightly regulars and loved the braised lamb...melt in your mouth delicious and tender! Unfortunately won't be going back.

Steak was tough took it home work my dogs, garlic sauce tasteless, slaw was dry. Husbands chicken
breast dry This is my third try and all meals have been quite tasteless. Maybe cooking for a much older crowd. This is stock standard of Bargara clubs.

We decided to try this place for dinner the other night and were pleasantly surprised. We had one of the specials which was crumbed lamb cutlets which are one of my favourite things. They were very well cooked, tasty and came with a plateful of veges and mash, equally well cooked. Don't look past this club for a reasonably priced, well cooked meal.

What a find this was when we wanted a nice evening meal. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The food is absolutely delicious and plenty of it. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and we will be back next time we are in Bargara.

Excellent food in the bistro especially the specials for pensioners.
There is also a pleasant view of the covered bowling greens

Steak was rare instead of medium. No sauce on steak sandwich. Dry as a nun. No vibe. Food staff could benefit with some personality.

Friends took me to this club for my birthday on Friday April 23 2021. We did have a good time with eachother.
However, a dozen oyster Kilpatrick were served very nearly cold. My idea of a beef nachos is a nachos with beef in it. Two of us had the nachos, we found 1 small piece of meat between 2 nachos. The other 3 meals were described as O.K. only.
It was my first and last visit.

We moved here eight months ago and are 200 metres around the corner but only tried the club this evening for the first time. Well what a complete surprise. Friendly staff, reasonable drink and food prices and the food was great. The music wasn't too loud either which allows us to talk without yelling. We'll be back for sure.

It's brand new now with a,new club house & 2 fully covered greens. Can't wait to go see it all.

Absolutely best lamb curry ever and the chilli garlic prawns were divine-not short on prawns. nHead chef knows what he's doing and the lady serving in Bistro was lovely and accomodating, however Stuart- in the bar- needs to refine his people skills.nAll round- good experience. Recommended.

I understand why people drink drive with the service supplied by the clubs courtesy bus and driver. Waiting for45 minutes after told it would be 30 minutes now told it will be after the raffle when ever that will be.. thereu2019s other pubs at Bargara with courtesy buses so would suggest trying them if you want to have a drink and not drive

It was nice, nice club, nice food, small gaming area. On the whole I was happy.
