I'm 41 - and this place served me the best beef burger I've ever had. No lie.
I'll also add my partner from Peru said her prawns were the best she's eaten in Australia - we were confused because we're so far from the ocean but somehow they nailed it.

We had drinks and dinner at the tavern on a Saturday night. The food was really good and the staff were very nice. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Loved walking into this pub. Being a born and bred country girl it was lovely atmosphere, rustic, western style. Guy behind bar greeted us, seated us out the back in their garden, very large space. bar also extends out there. Friendly and charming and their food was beautiful. Even the basic bruschetta was simply amazing. Highly recommend. Do drop in and try.
Also across the road from the commercial motel that we stayed in. 2 minute walk.

Wednesday night is Steak night, being carnivore and only eating meat, your taste buds know good quality meat. l had a rib fillet which was good quality meat and cooked to my liking. Who ever made the sauce, is a very good sauces. Well done.
If you don't eat here on a Wednesday night you are missing out. If l lived in longreach l definitely would eat here often.

Came here for dinner tonight and ordered the Monday night beer and burger $20 deal. The staff are friendly and the food was far beyond our expectations, the best burger that I have had in a long time. Coen here for a great meal.
