Order a dish called "Pan fried Gnocchi: gnocchi, mushroom ragu, spinach, cherry tomatoes, Parmesan and herbs"

I was thus expecting pan fried gnocchi. Nope. I got the regular style gnocchi.

I was also expecting a mainly mushroom sauce. Nope. I had a handful of small pieces of mushroom.

Herbs were out of the picture.

I was served this dish as if it was totally normal.

If they had told me "sorry, can't do that tonight" or "sorry, tonight's crew doesn't know how to do this dish", we would've found common grounds or I would've change my order, no problem.

Instead, they served me something that was different and pretended that everything was fine. Really disappointing experience.

ordered a 300g steak, cost $40.
Apparently the steak looses 2rds of its size when being cooked to medium well, because mine bearly went 150g. see photo below.

Lovely hotel the dining room was modern and very enjoyable. I had the Lamb Cutlets with salad. The Cutlets were nice and tender except the crumb coating was a bit to crunchy but still enjoyable. The Sticky Date pudding was to die for so moist and very tasty. The shuttle pick-up and return from my accommodation was a bonus and very friendly. Would totally recommend this hotel.

We booked ahead . So no wait for a table. Booked online -the response was very swift. The service at the bar etc was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the ribs, the crumbed lamb chops and the fettuccine pasta. We shared the 3 dishes. We all believed that the pasta was by far the best dish. It was a huge serve and full of flavour. The ribs came second. The meat was falling off the bone and came with corn and coleslaw. The coleslaw was delicious. Coming in third was the crumbed lamb chops. The serve size was huge with 3 large chops. Just not a tasty as we would have hoped. We definitely would visit again . Overall we were satisfied.

Came recommended as a great feed however my wifes meal was hospital grade food. $32 for crumbed lamb cutlets more like mutton with stale old veges. Bland and tough, heaps of unedible fat. Maybe the pizza is better? $15 for a beer and softdrink.
