Wow! This venue has instantly become my favorite! The meals served to us here were outstanding. Excellent quality and of a very generous size. Honestly the best steak mignon i have ever enjoyed! Next level. Every meal served was exceptional! Attended a birthday dinner for my sister who has serious allergy to eggs. The mature lady with the fabulous blonde hair went out of her way to arrange a meal for my sister that was not only delicious but very carefully thought out and prepared with love! She was amazing and highly attentive to our needs. A true professional! My top compliments to the hard working and clearly dedicated chefs and staff! We have dined at Mrs Jones and Verona and this experience we had at the Elimatta Hotel surpassed all expectations. I plan to return next week. Thank you very much!

Really enjoyed our stay there.
The room was very tidy and well presented.
Being waterfront and only a 2 minute walk to the city mall it is well priced.
Will be definitely back.

me and my family went here to have a nice dinner but no this was the worst dinner we ever had it's dry and uncooked. And we spent $120 on the most sloppy hard dinner. Not a fan

I stayed one night at the beginning of my 10 day trip and on the last night before catching the ferry back. The room is quite big compared to previous places I've stayed. The bed and shower were great. The wifi works and the towels smell nice. On the last night, I had a meal at the bistro. I wasn't all that hungry so I had the entree meal of salt and pepper squid. It was nice and tasty. I felt like a dessert and ordered the ice cream plate, berry storm. It was a massive construction and I think it's meant to be shared with two people. I was full and ready for the sailing the next day. I would definitely stay here again because it's convenient to the ferry, great value and has the bistro attached.

Food had generous portions at a reasonable price, the Eye Mignon was lovely, and the chips were as delicious as ever, however the Scotch Fillet was disappointingly over-cooked and woman who took my order and brought out our food did not show a very customer friendly attitude, seeming to get annoyed at simple questions.

Tried and true, the Eli has never let me down with their meals. I had slow cooked beef cheeks last visit and it was lovely, cooked perfectly with really nice veg and mash. And generous servings too.
Don't forget to ask for Seniors discount (if you are one :-) ) as they don't ask.
There are two sets of steps off the esplanade, from memory 6 and 4 with handrails.
Wheelchair access is available but you have to wheel around the back and there's access from there.
The location is great and plenty of parking. Looking out over the Mersey River while eating is a treat.
The Eli is always a good choice.

4 of us had dinner there, My husband ordered chicken and sweet corn soup, but virtually no chicken, no corn and taste like salt water. And the seafood basket cost $40+, half of seafood was missing, no prawn skewers, chips was over cook not edible. Definitely will not go back there again.

Food and service is great. Seniors card discount and if your birthday is on the day you dine it is free. A great a varied choice in the menu. Ample free parking, out the back that most people forget. Situated on the Mersey river.

Not a bad "regular" to go for a decent countery, stop in here with the family a bit. Never had a bad meal yet. Well priced and quality of food is above average.

I really like the set up inside. Nice large open space for dining with a bar and a small bar separate with a big screen . Food is always delicious. Staff are attentive and friendly.

Table of 14 ppl two of us had crumb scollops they were over cooked crumb hard 10 little scollops and chips $35 what a waste of money waitstaff only said they go on weight not interested in complaint at all.
Not happy customers at all.

My meal was amazing. Best mushroom sauce I've ever had. Wonderful views of the river from our table and heaps of parking. I also loved that all the tables were spaced well apart so not crowded and more privacy.

What has happened to the good value pub meal. Over $30 fish &chips 4 fingers of fish cold chips. More cucumber than salad even after requesting no cucumber. Not good enough. Want be able to recommend or return. ??'???'???'???'???'?

Great food, clean, and tidy space. Staff are friendly, but the wait time at the bar's and games room was way too long.
We had scotch fillet and beef cheeks, which we enjoyed very much. I do recommend going for a great feed.

The poor barmaid was on her own doing drinks, keno, trying to get kegs changed and asking for help with cocktails. Ordered chicken and prawn pesto pasta, not one prawn in it. Sorry but not good enough. Going elsewhere next time ??'?

The chef deserves 5 star ratings. Waterfront dining is peaceful, staff very thoughtful and accommodating. I'll go there over and over again.

Meals were good, nice atmosphere and view of the river. Because it was during the Christmas holiday period they were a bit short staffed so meals too a bit longer, I wasn't too worried jst had a couple of sneaky beers while I waited. 😉

Shame to come to such a nice location, be served by a waitress who doesn't even say hello, just WHAT TABLE YA AT?
Then the food arrives. First of all it was $45 for a scotch fillet..chips were over cooked, snapped in half when you put your fork through them.
Steak was burnt to the s***house, little flakes of charcoal all through the sauce. Half the steak was grissle and inedible, as you can see from the photos.
Nice view but avoid the food. Did an entire round trip of tassie, shame to end it at this bistro ??'?🏼.

My meal was below average, roast potatoes were so hard I couldn't eat them same as the pumkin,meat was beef but tasted strange,meals came out in dribs and drabs and service wasn't exactly friendly. Giving 2 star only because other friends said their meals were really good. Get it together or definitely won't be back.

Food was lovely, service was good and both should get 5 stars. The thing that let it down was the lack of a disabled toilet. Not only did I have to take my amputee husband into the ladies toilet, but it was a regular cubicle with a support bar, I couldn't get his wheelchair through the door and had to physically hold him. While he attempted to hop to the toilet. Then again to get him back in the wheelchair. It was humiliating for him and for that reason he can never go back. Would be interested to know what the DDA compliance would say about it.

A good relaxed place beside the Mersey River at Devonport. At times can observe the Spirit of Tasmania leaving for Melbourne. Good food.
