I hadn't been to The Brook for a few years as I didn't know they could make (coeliac safe) gluten free meals. Tried them this week and was delighted to see they have decent gf menu items (not just salmon or risotto) and a separate gf fryer. I ordered fish and chips and it was so good! The batter on the flathead fillets was light and crispy and the chips were really good. I loved my meal! Friendly, helpful staff and a really nice atmosphere. My gluten eating family enjoyed their meals too. I'll be back soon!
Edit: I came back and had calamari next time and it was also excellent! Kids love the playground too

Visited the venue for dinner, didn't have a renovation but was room within main section of bistro area. Nope we were given table in area before bistro. 45 minutes and we are still waiting for our meal. No apologises or updates been given. Service is VERY SLOW. Our food shouldn't take this long as bistro is not full! Nearly an hour later food arrived with no apology, Luke warm and wasn't appealing. The picture below is meant to be butter chicken, rice was watery, texture and appearance horrible and overall very off putting .

Had my 21st hosted at the Brook's function room and honestly couldn't fault anything. The staff and their service was absolutely amazing and they're so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and plenty of servings with their canapé menu. Would highly recommend 😁

The team are lovely, this is a good pub though I wasn't a fan of the oysters/ serving (the photo is how they were served). The gluten free fish is really good though.

Everything is good except for beef brisket (12 hours long cooking) which has a sweet flavour and not tender.

I have eaten a lot of food, and in all my days, it surprises even me when an establishment can make a parmigiana that hits the top 10 parmis on my list. The dining experience at the brook is ratatouille level and should not be underestimated. They also do a trivia that is very fun to play and they'll even let the kids have a team and play. They have smoking areas that is heated. If you're looking for a place to bring your friends or even just trying to experience a parmigiana that will elevate your understanding of chicken as a meal. I'd go here

I went to dinner at the brook last night with family for Mothers Day.
The team brought out the wrong meal initially, having ordered a vegetarian meal, I was provided with a Chicken Burger rather than the Chickpea and Lentil burger.
I then had to wait a further 20 minutes for my meal to arrive, as even the entrees arrived after the mains. By the time food arrived, everyone else at the table had finished their meals.

When the meal did eventually arrive, the burger patty contained curry paste (which was not included in the ingredients on the menu) and unfortunately I couldn't eat this. The onion rings were nice, however overall it was a very poor experience.

Visited for a late lunch, place was pretty quiet. Ordered, food & drinks came out pretty quickly, food was fresh, meals were hot. Can't complain. Great service too.

I'm not vegan, but surprised to see so many veg/vegan options available. Handy to know in advance if you're booking for larger groups with different dietary requirements.

Great place to dine, my Probus club relaxed after a day at RAAF Museum.

Nice place to hangout with friends. Try Morgan's bay red wine. It was smooth. I enjoyed and had great time.

Went for a weeknight family catch up. Nice atmosphere and nice facilities. There is no table service all drinks and meals are ordered at the bar or counter which is a bit different. Food was good quality with lots of options and lots of specials. Some different style parmas and pizzas which where quite good. Service was good ??'? when brining meals or clearing the table

I had high hopes for this place.
Let's start with the restaurant, we were seated by the front door Steward and given a menu. We weren't told we had to go up and order it ourselves. Same with the drinks. The prices on the menu were a bit high, for an example. Chicken parmigiana $39, steak $60 some sauces were $10 extra... bruschetta $14. Which was the second worst bruschetta I've ever had. The drinks I had ordered from the bar were hot. They added ice as normal but the glass was hot. Like it just came out of the Glass washer. Buy the time I got back to the table the ice had almost gone.
I ordered the chicken scallopini which was just a half of a chicken breast. And not cooked the right way. I'm a chef and this place fell short in a lot of categories. It really does need to look at the little things. It could be a good little place... But for now it falls short in a lot of things. Very disappointed...

Customer service was great, really enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant and most importantly food was great. Lots of flavor but not to strong. Great proportions and great for children my family loved it .

Went there for dinner last night. Meals were very average at best. Quality of my steak was not good and fat wasn't rendered properly. Sauce for both the steak and my partner's meal was too thick. I expected much more for a $60 steak dish. I had a cheaper steak dish few days earlier at Carasellos in Moonee Ponds and it was much better.

It was alittle disappointing. Food was so so. Staff where working their butts off. Shame they had very little staff working as they seemed under the pump. It was really cold sitting in the bar area so we moved to the lounge area,just as cold. I've giving this place 5 out of 5 before,but yesterday was not one of those days.

This carrot cake bought from here was a waste of money. It was dry, hard, and lacking in flavor, with an unappetizing blob of cream on top. To make matters worse, the poor customer service only added to my disappointment. Overall, my experience was so negative that I would give this place a -1 star rating if possible. Based on my regrettable experience, I cannot recommend this place for its food or service.

There were 9 of us at the bar tonight. 5 of us drank less than $30 worth of alcohol per person and the other 4 didn't consume any alcohol at all, yet the security guard came up and told us that we had 5 minutes to leave the venue due to us "drinking too much". He was apparently told to inform us by the manager, but we never saw the manager nor did the pub seem busy during the time we were there. We ended up being kicked out of the place and having to quickly finish drinking the rest of our drinks.

I would give this place a 0 star if I could.

The food was great, good portion sizes and delicious. Kids meals come with a drink and ice cream which is always a win. Playground in view of the bistro tables makes it even better! And the service was fantastic! Particularly from Lydia who made us all feel welcome and enjoyed some good banter and laughs! Thank you Lydia!

They block me. It's so sad we went that brook 14 years it's our community. I was complaining about no vegetable on Turkey dinner. We ask can I please have add vegetable. Staff wasn't happy and said veg will be couple of min with attitude. We was only polite to ask. Well we was waiting now our dinner was cold. So we had refund. I inbox fbk (messenger) the brooks, but somehow they block us
We r deaf and we had no issue in that brooks pub 14 years. So sad. We do miss old brooks before covid. The brooks used had karaoke, quiz, lovely community and beautiful people. Now nothing there.

Never go dining there again

What a shame it makes me feel how the new owner have ruined the best restaurant pub in Point Cook. Forget about the famous weekends parties. You will simply be alone, and that's in case the sport bar is open.
And the staff... You can find good staff but also incredible bad staff. Today, I ordered a coffee and while the waitress was preparing my coffee I tried to order another one. I was standing up waiting for the waitress to finish or to look at me to order the new one when suddenly one of the managers comes and says the bar is closed, but he attended two people who came after me.
I got to ask the waitress for another coffee but she told me that her manager had told that the bar is closed. So, after the manager finished to attend the other people, I told that the situation was not fair because I was already being attended and was ahead of the persons he had attended, so the manager understood and asked the waitress to make another coffee after finishing the one she was making for me. I forgive this. The problem was the coffee that the waitress made and the rude way she served it to our table. She intentionally made the worst coffee I ever seen, a cappuccino without any foam, boiling and with an aspect that I am not going to try to describe... I don't know what there was in my cofee. I said intentionally because we had already ordered 5 coffees and there was any problem with them. I got up and handed it back directly to the waitress who made no move to apologize. I can't understand how a restaurant like this, with the number of customers it had and has lost, doesn't care about taking care of the few that still come.
So, it pains me to say it after all this time, because I loved the Brook, but I don't think I'll be back.

Always have a great meal!! Lovely atmosphere and staff!! Especially today, Sally was just so beautiful, such a lovely person, and so was the Manager! My adult son and myself have eaten here many times and ALWAYS had a great experience, so blessed to have this hotel so close by. Cheers The Brook, keep doing what your doing! Plenty of parking, always clean and decor us beautiful, Plenty of different areas to sit in depending on the company you're with.

Our experience was definitely positive with our food being up to our expectations the table staff were all very pleasant.
The only negative thing I have to say is that my daughter in law was over charged for a drink that she purchased at the bar. When it was queried the Manager was called and her response was "are you sure it's not food"? Why would we go complain about being overcharged for a drink when our table of 12 adults and 4 children had spent a considerable amount on food.($400+) Her attitude was very average and cold. We were not making it up and understand mistakes are made but don't turn it around on the customer.
The Customer Experience interaction was great up until this time it's a shame that it was overshadowed by an incident which could have easily been rectified without making a customer feel like a liar.

Booking at 7:30pm (advertised closing at 10pm), when we walked in and they saw our booking the assistant venue managers first words were order quickly our kitchen is about to close as it's quiet. The gentleman was clearly not happy being there and made me wonder why I would want to be there. $40 steak was black, dry and embarrassing for the price point. Will not be returning

I don't know what's happened here since we last visited in 2021. I think it was around mothers day some time.
Today we ordered the calamari, which in itself was fine, but the dipping sauce was just awful. No flavour at all. I could guess it was just plain , cheap Mayo??
Saganaki was as expected.
Mains, I had the garlic prawns. I am a huge garlic lover, but this sauce was too thick and heavy.
My partner had the ribeye that was on special. It was great, but the accompanying onion ring well over cooked, to a crisp.
Well try again another time, hope it's back up to standard by then.

We had a family table tonight of 12 and everyone were pleasantly surprised how good the meals were. We had a great assortment on the table. Staff were friendly and accomodating. We go out each fortnight and try different places. We all said we would definitely go back again.

Recently went here on a Saturday night after reading a few reviews. Quite a few people there showing that it was reasonably popular. Good for families. Staff was friendly and the service was reasonably quick. Reasonable menu without being too expensive. The only thing would be to update the menu on the website to what is currently being offered at the restaurant. As the online version had more options but was told by a staff member (after showing her), that it may of being changed. Overall, was happy with my overall experience and will go again.

All staff were absolutely amazing with nothing being too much trouble.

Consistently good food at reasonable prices and very good customer service. You can take the toddlers who can eat their chicken nuggets or cheeseburgers and then go and play in the playground while you finish your meal in peace. All up a decent local pub for a no fuss meal.

We were looking for a venue to celebrate our son's first birthday and selected the function hall at THE BROOK. The Bistro Manger , Olivia ensured that right from the beginning all of our questions were answered swiftly and to satisfaction. The choice of food , decoration and table layout was very flexible and provided us way more options over other venues . The event in itself was well coordinated , everything was in place before time , no last minute running around. Sound communication with regards to food and alcohol consumption on the night ensuring there were no surprises when the final bill was to be settled .Would like to compliment Olivia and team for taking the stress away from us on the day. The Racing Club has certainly taken over. Went in on a quiet Thursday night. Every TV in the sports bar on racing. Asked to put the football on one TV and was told they weren't allowed to. To top it off there isn't anyway to bet there! Why have racing on if you can't have a bet? What's the harm of having one TV on football?Suffice to say I've had my last meal and beer there. I cannot believe a pub in Melbourne refuses to put football on even if they are owned by a Racing Club.
