My partner and I make the trip out to Boonah quite often, and without fail, we always stop in here for a meal. The food is consistently some of the best pub food we've had, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff always make you feel right at home.

What really sets this place apart is the genuine country hospitality. On one occasion, the team even opened the kitchen a little early for us, which was incredibly kind and so appreciated. It's not something you see everywhere, and it's a perfect example of the way they look after people.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, you're treated like an old friend. There won't be a trip to Boonah in our future where we don't stop in.

Stopped by Boonah Tavern for a late lunch with friends after a hike at Main Range National Park, and it was a very welcome find. Even though lunch service was almost over, the team were happy to accommodate us, which was greatly appreciated after a long walk.
Service was quick, friendly, and efficient. The food itself was freshly made - generous portion sizes, well presented, and full of flavour. Everything we ordered was satisfying, making it the perfect refuel after a day outdoors.
A busy yet a welcoming venue with good food and great hospitality. I would definitely stop by again when in the area. A solid choice for locals and visitors alike.

I like this restaurant. It's affordable, the food is tasty, and I visit often.
However, a few days ago I visited with a friend and ordered a rump steak cooked medium-rare. The steak was slightly burnt, with some parts cooked well-done and other parts closer to medium.
I politely asked once whether it would be possible to receive a new medium-rare steak that wasn't burnt. I understood that it would be okay even if it couldn't be replaced.
Then a man came over and spoke to me angrily, saying that the steak was perfectly medium-rare and that it would not be remade. He didn't even look at my steak before saying that. While I could accept not getting a replacement, what was not okay was the way he spoke to me his tone and the look in his eyes made me feel like I was being treated as a difficult customer.
All the other staff were kind and polite. It was only that one man.
Did he really need to get angry with me like that?

Really good food with generous portions and fair prices.

Burger patty was juicy even though it was thick. Buns were toasted nicely and the ingredients complimented each other extremely well. Highly recommended.

Pork Chops were fantastic, perfectly cooked and juicy, with 2 generous portions per order.

We ordered the rib steak and it was really tender and well cooked.

For dessert we had Apple and Rhubarb Crumble and it was really decent as well.

The 2 beers we ordered were fantastic, would buy again.

Service was quick and pleasant, toilets were clean.

Overall we ordered many items and the cook quality and taste were all superb. Highly recommend this place and you will not be disappointed.
