I'm absolutely stunned at the exquisite service we received from Maddy on Father's day. Her incredible persona shone like a beacon that surely would illuminate brighter than any 5 star review possibly could. Maddy's sparkling repartee was worthy of 6 or maybe 7 stars. And Cooper was superb also. The food was awesome too. We will definitely return. 😁

At first glance we weren't to sure of how tonight was going to go. Could have a little brighter lighting outside as we weren't sure that you were open, had to see if people were sitting down before we decided to go in..

What a meal! Couldn't have been any better, the service was on point, the wait for our meals wasn't a very long one even with a steak ordered well done.

The customer service was out standing and felt like they were long time friends.. We were presented with bright inviting smiles and attitude's.
What a place to take a family. From babies and young children. Highly budget friendly too what a nice atmosphere to dine in..

Overall we are extremely pleased to say we will be returning!

When you walk into the royal exchange hotel weather you go to the Irish bar section or the bistro it has great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

The food and drinks are really well priced and the amount of food you get is amazing and delicious plus a really good selection.

Also one handy thing is in the bistro you can scan the qr code on the table and have a look at the menu and order via that or after you look at the menu you can go up to the counter to order also.

Loved the Seniors' Rump Steak meal.

Loving the upgraded pub. Only downside is the noise level, but not sure how to tackle that! Reasonably priced. Large meals (maybe skip a meal before going there 🤣). Have not been disappointed with the food on our many visits - well cooked, beautiful presentation, and lovely wait staff too.

Went here for lunch and it was incredibly enjoyable.

A couple of drinks and a bowl of loaded fries hit the spot just right.

Was served by Tracy and can not say a bad word, great attitude, positive and a great smile the whole time.

All in all a great experience.

Asked for medium rare and got pretty much raw other then that maddy was great behind the bar would definitely come back because of the service but food could be better

Best Meal I have had in ages. Chicken schnitzel perfect, mixed vegies great, chips crisp and could taste the mushroom in the sauce. On the bonus side it was all nice and hot and plenty on the plate. Thank you keep it up.

Some comments - "my chicken burger is great thanks", " yes, I asked for 'blue'", "those chips are a little salty", " I think they need to work on the garlic sauce, it split", "the steak Sanga was nice". TJ was a standout steward. Outstanding service, and accommodated all our needs. We enjoyed a great laugh.

Had a family lunch here today and everything was great.... All but the chicken schnitzel! I don't know how a pub can mess up a basic crumb on a piece of chicken but they did. Not sure what method the kitchen use, but i would highly suggest a new technique.

Getting a soggy schnitzel with the boring crumb falling off wasn't appetizing. I thought it may of been the whole "first dish of the day issues" which you can understand. But as lovely as it was that the kitchen Made me a whole new meal, the crumb was still soggy and peeling off and just not that enjoyable.

Some of the menu was unavailable,
Vegetables consisted of purple cabbage, capsicum, and raw broccoli.
The steak sandwich came with ingredients not listed on the menu, steak was tough and grissly.
Paid extra for gravy, but only had a drizzle on the burger

Softdrink had no fizz.

We decided to give this pub a try $10 seniors meals this meal was perfect fish and chips/salad freshly cooked and chicken parmigiana with chips & salad excellent 10/10. Staff we extra friendly and helpful. Only thing they could improve on is having sanitizer at door of toilets and at entrance as you need to handle doors

Went in for lunch, pleasant clean surroundings. Meals were most acceptable. Basic pub fare but well prepared and served. Prices 12-14 dollars for seniors or 20% off standard menu(seniors)

The venue looked clean and tidy. It was hard to find a bar/lounge until we discovered that the Bistro was it.
We ordered the chicken schnitzel and cheeseburger from the lunch special. The schnitzel was ok, gravy and chips. The burger? It was so-so. Pretty ordinary, the meat tasted like it was cooked yesterday and rewarmed today. It was very bland and very dry. Even the fillings and sauce could not improve it. My friend had the stuffed potato and he left better than half of it saying that it was very ordinary.
One other thing, the meals took an inordinately long time to be served. And our friends did stay the night next door and they said nothing much changed at the evening meal. Oh well, that's what you get at times!

Great friendly attentive staff, food was very good. Seniors dinner meals roast turkey was delicious, steak very well cooked as ordered & fish perfect, large piece. Great value meals were 15$ each definitely going back. ??'?

Went to the Royal Exchange for dinner on a Tuesday night. There were 7 adults and 5 kids. They had a great variety of meals all of which were reasonably priced. Everyone said that the meals were great. Portion sizes were also good. All kids meals were only $10. That included a drink and ice cream.

Went out for dinner with my sister, the wait was a bit long but the food was definitely worth it! Fresh, hot and just delicious all round! The Parma was huge and absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be coming back!

We take my parents here for a seniors lunch for them. The staff has always been amazing and never a fault with the meals. Will continue to go

The service was fast and friendly.

Food was surprisingly ok ( steak ) staff were terribly untrained. They were nice but no idea what there doing. Only 5 people in there for lunch and my food was just sitting waiting for one of them to bring it over but to busy chatting away..... not paying attention to the chef

Great stop off for a quick lunch on the way to lakes. Very kid friendly with a small play ground. Pub bistro food at very reasonable cost and generous serves. Try it out.

Seniors meals are great! Good variety and a very generous size. Staff are very friendly- a great place to have a meal and catch up with friends.

Stopped by randomly for dinner on my way home from NSW. I was not disappointed. The steak was perfect and the pepper sauce was the best I've tasted. My family and I will definitely be eating there again.
