I had a great stay at the Redearth Hotel. A very large room, big balcony, well equipped with a Nespresso machine and nice bathroom. Great value and I would recommend to anyone. Thank you.

A nice place in the centre of town. The location adjoins a great pub/restaurant and there's a good Coffee Club across the road. Staff are friendly. Overall not a bad place to stay.

I travel across the country for work and Gillian at reception was without a doubt the most professional, helpful and pleasant person I have ever encountered in a hotel. Whatever she's on, she deserves a payrise

We dined at the Redearth restaurant last night. Apparently "fine dining" means if u want garlic bread or sourdough/oil/balsamic as a starter you have to go to the adjoining pub?? It's fine dining don't you know!!
I had the salmon which was slightly over cooked but the pumpkin it came with was so undercooked I couldn't eat it (and I love pumpkin). My husband had the pork which was dry and tasteless and he didn't eat much of it. When my husband said he wasn't prepared to pay for it, the waitress told him bluntly that he'd eaten more than half of it. So he had to pay. Wow! He'd eaten one of the three portions. We don't normally complain but felt that was unfair. We asked for the manager who seemed to listen to our story but was clearly wanting to move on.
Even though we were only in town for one night he insisted on giving us a voucher for the value of the meal.
We ordered a cab and there was a long wait but a lovely lady who'd just walked out of the pub must've heard my phone call to the cab co and offered two strangers a lift back to the caravan park. For her kindness we donated the $35 voucher. I hope her experience will be better than ours.
