A large group of us went to the railway for a birthday dinner, service and meals could have been at better quality. However the biggest issue we found was they were not family friendly and considerate to those with young children.

We received multiple complaints from staff complaining about the children (they were playing under the table or around the table not being noisy or anything and yet they told us they were to loud and "apparently" nearly tripping people over)

Not a good experience in my perspective.

Meals were served quickly and the staff were nice and friendly...
Had the ribs, 200 gram rump and daily Curry (it was chicken this time).
Pork ribs were massive.

Wow! A must visit for great service and excellent meals. Steak was cooked exactly as requested (med rare) and salads were fresh. 10/10.

Lovely Staff. We've been on road for last 10 days stopping at pubs and eatery's from the Sunshine Coast to Colac. The meals tonight were THE BEST. Delicious 350g rump cooked perfectly. Wife's requested special vegetarian pasta and she LOVED IT! Thanks for a great night! Happy New Years ?

So glad we found this place! Meals served very quickly and were delicious. Hubby had the brisket and said it was one of the best he's ever had. I had the chicken avocado and the kids had kids meals (nuggets/steak and chips). Staff friendly and amenities well maintained. Will definitely eat here again on our next road trip!

Service was great, meals came out quiet quick which is great when having little ones. I have the grilled chicken and avocado was amazing! I'd order it again.

It's not worth the money. The food was bad. Salad was overdressed.

It's more like of a salad with 7 chicken small bits. Not worth it...

Meat size is so small or it has more on breading...

Don't waste your time. Service was terrible and rude, except for one lady. Food was over cooked and over priced for the small portion given.

My and my wife went out for dinner. We ordered the food and drink at the same time.

We where not told when we ordered that the drink had to be collected and thought it would be brought with food or before food. It sat on the bar for almost 10 minutes before a staff member came to our table and told us to collect it from the bar.

But the staff where very lovely.

Food took 15 minutes with a 3/4 full house. we where a little surprised at the speed.

I Ordered a chicken Hawaii parmy and My wife ordered chicken carbonara.

My chicken parmy was good with not too much salad dressing, just the way I like. Wish they had the option to have chips and veg not just salad and chips.

My wifes carbonara was flavour full but the chicken was way over done.

I rate this a 3 star, will go again

My family and I recently went for dinner. was a great experience the atmosphere was great staff were amazing and to top it off the food was excellent. Was an extremely busy evening food came out within reasonable time. Top efforts to the chef and kitchen crew..
Our experience was so great we attended the second nigh and celebrated my daughter 11th birthday. My daughter even gave the chef and staff some cake. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in Goondiwindi

Not the flashes feed chicken rissoto was not cooked properly and very bland and surf and turf steak over cooked and tough as leather and sauce tasted like flour and milk. Only positive about our dining was the staff were nice and helpful

This is a great little country hotel. Staff are friendly, food is great. Had a steak sandwich and it was epic. Country style food A++.

Nicely renovated hotel with extensive menu.Steak sandwich is a huge meal with lots of chips!! By contrast the quinoa and black rice salad was a delicious healthy dish:)Friendly service.
