Friendly staff. Great cold beer. An outstanding hotel aesthetically. Beautiful looking hotel after new management obviously spent alot of $$ on exterior and interior of hotel.

We enjoyed a few drinks before and after dinner, both were enjoyable and fairly priced. Staff were good and friendly. And all that in stylish surroundings!

Awesome beer garden, beautiful dining areas, and modern bathrooms, the Queensland hotel is truly a gem in Goondiwindi.

Fantastic stay!
Clean, new rooms with soap and towels provided and hot showers.
The restaurant was closed when we visited but other pubs were open and easy to get to.
Lovely service and easy to book.

This quaint pub is perfect for families as well as mates. We sat on the restaurant side and had a large group, all the meals were prepared with care and came out as promised on the menu, and in a timely manner. The setting is a laid back yet stylish dining area plus it sports an expansive outdoor area with its own bar. Good bang for your buck!

Great meals and friendly service, but take a fly swatter during summer.

We went to celebrate my husband becoming an Australian citizen. Open rustic atmosphere with beautiful beer garden out the back. They also have an intimate function room with private bar. They are also in the process of working on some accommodation. Should be ready in around 6 months time.

My husband myself and our son attended The Queensland Hotel in August 2023 for a private function. We had lunch on the Saturday and the food was that good we stayed and had dinner that night as well.

The staff were very accommodating and very helpful.

The food was 10/10 couldn't fault anything from the price to the time it took to cook to even the presentation and then the taste. Honestly can not rave enough on how good it was.

Another thing that made me highly impressed was that there was an actual change table in the ladies for little ones. As a first time mum with an 8week old baby when i had travelled 5.5hrs to attend the function i was highly impressed to find a clean decent change table. Not only was there something for the mums, on the bench in the bathroom there was santitry items and hair spray so incase of an emergency they had you covered, now you don't see that every day!

Anyway hats off to the Manager of the Hotel and I cant wait to return again soon.

Staff didn't seem like they wanted out of towners in there. Not a great atmosphere to have a relax in after driving all day. Maybe some staff that either want to work or are half interested to have new people in.

Food is fantastic. Get an additional side of veggies. They are fantastic, real food, not that frozen stuff other places serve.

I just want to say what a pleasure Tania is. pretty sure that's her name. I can't remember the last time I had some one serve me that was so polite and helpful. Food was great, venue was clean amd all the other staff are helpful and polite. Thank you for a great meal and making my day. A must for all guests in my opinion.

We ate here. Top menu and great friendly service. Allowed the dog in the beer garden. An easy walk from just about any spot in Goondi. We stopped at the Jolly Swagman. Good beer and wine. Great food.

We should have had the steak as due to other reviews that was the best! We had the fish which was just ok but wasn't expensive,,my fault as hard to get fresh barramundi

The Queensland pub is in the heart of town so great location. I went here for a meal and was very pleased with my steak and salad. The steak was very tender and tasty. The dining room is large and air conditioned(a lot to be said for that out here).
I would gladly go here again.

The perfect dinner and drink at the end of a long day of driving. Food is well priced and perfectly cooked.

I planned to stop at Queensland Hotel for a quick dinner but then I got a very good food, nice atmosphere and very relaxing place to stay! (Special thanks to the two skilled, funny Italian backpackers that made my experience in this place even a remarkable and unforgettable one) I will surely come back again! Bravo!!

Definitely get yourself a meal here. I had the 500gm rump and it was like butter. One of the most tender steaks I've had. Good beer selection as well. Good atmosphere and plenty of activities to participate in during the week. Music, trivia etc

Great pub in town with reasonably priced meals. We had the 250gr rump with chips and salad which was tasty. The beer garden is also dog friendly.

My partner went to this pub last year, unfortunately he was treated unfairly after winning major bonus in one of their pokie machine.
The staff on duty were rude and made him wait too long for the cash out money without even explaining what's going on and didn't even apologize.
Didn't even think of coming back to this hotel.

Few drinks, great staff friendly. Staying for a meal clean open area, good size tables plenty of room. cold beer. Pokies, tab and bistro.

Had a meal typical pub meal was what you would expect, panko calamari was ok and special pasta chirizo and prawns was nice, maybe a touch too much chillie for my wife but perfect for me.

Asked the bar attendant, if the pub was dog friendly, she replied definitely, great to see you . Tania the bar attendant also brought out a large dish of water for the dogs. She was very cheerful and happy person, obviously she enjoys her work. She poured good beers too...

The beer garden is well presented with gas heaters, plants, tables and chairs, a very pleasant area and really great dogs are allowed. Thank you to the management / owners of the Queensland Hotel, Goondiwindi Qld

Ordered the crispy prawns. We were very dissopointed as the prawns were all deep fried.
The entire salad was covered in an over powering creamy sauce. It was all very rich and was not able to eat much of it unfortunately.

Had high expectations that the meal would be good but it was pretty bad. Sorry guys...

We had dinner there. Ordered 36 dollar steak and paid 3 dollars extra for sauce. The bits of the steak that were not fat or grisle were great however that was 1/3 of the steak... not great value for money plus i let them know but no response from the kitchen.

Really enjoyed this pub in Goondiwindi. Good accommodation for the price and I enjoyed the rissoles and mash for dinner. Great service and friendly staff. A number of ladies were enjoying a great night out and had a lot of fun flirting. Everyone supported them and had a great time. Great traditional style pub. Beats a motel and you could enjoy the upstairs verandah for a quiet beer if you wanted to. Loved it.

We had just arrived from NSW heading home to Qld after a week traveling around country towns ,thought we would call in and have a couple of Drinks. Well we were signing in and the girl who we were Told her Name was Tanya would not let us in because we did not have masks. We explained that we were unaware of the situation in Qld to her and being Easter Sunday we were unable to purchase masks, she said in a rude manor oh well bad luck.The funny thing is that not one other person in the Front bar had a mask, nor was anyone wearing one. We felt Discriminated against and bullied. Would never go back to this place.

Waited 1.5 hrs for our dinner- bar staff just pulled up their shoulders and said they have no control over it, a friendly young man then approached us and apologies offering a drink but we declined and asked for take away containers and brought our dinner home - this was our 2nd try at this venue in a year and its still as poor as the first time was

I enjoy visiting the Queensland Hotel. The staff are friendly. Last visit I had the sirlion and radish salad, and it was fantastic.

They could have well prepared for a big group coming and services were slow.
