Really starting to like this venue after a few visits. Food is always on point and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, the establishment could use some sprucing up/TLC. THat said, we have really enjoyed the open front, street side seating.

The meals we ordered were very nice and well priced however I thought they had had a makeover - the decor was so very ordinary. Not a pleasant environment, Won't bother going back.

Tourists staying out at Alva beach for the scuba diving. Was told the Hotel was good for dinner. It is a nice country town hotel. Food nicely cooked.
Had the Parmi. Big serving, couldn't eat it all. Good service. You can park right in front of the premises. Obviously popular with locals but not crowded.

Best place to go for afternoon beers, ladies are lovely and very welcoming

One of the security guards denied entry on the basis of the group being too drunk even though most of us were sober (one was driving), but turns out the top floor was full. Fair enough if the top floor is full but at least have the security just say it is full rather than use a cowardly excuse. We felt like dirt from the experience.

The perfect lunch stopover, travelling from Proserpine to Townsville ??'? going off the reviews I read, this place did not disappoint!

The staff were super friendly, even going beyond to seat us at the front of the pub for people watching. To top it off the food was super fresh and tasty.

This place is amazing.
The dimmed lights give you this relaxed feeling like there was no worries in the world.
The waitress was really nice and polite and kept coming over to see how everything was going.
The food was amazing and it was so hot when it got to our table, the price for the food was pretty decent price and made it affordable.
We had dinner in the cafe section.
The beer taste was different in a good way, it didnt taste stale it hit the spot just perfect.
We will be coming back here for dinner.

Always stop in here for lunch on trips back from south. Never disappoints. Cold drinks, friendly staff, huge selection of meals with also lunchtime chef specials. Huge, tasty meals. We haven't looked for anywhere else to try in Burdekin. Why would you 😋??'????-🍻

No photos of the room because it was as you would expect for $70 a night in such a great location. Sheets were clean and fresh, overall it was pretty clean if not slightly rundown. Bathroom was a bit of a disaster. Shower looked like a crime scene had happened in there 5 years ago. Wasn't so much a cleanliness issue more like permanent staining, mould and grouting issues due to age. Walls were pretty sound proof and aircon was super cold. The location more than made up for any cosmetic issues. The gardener needs a mention here to. The whole vibe of the beautiful gardens was fun and quirky. It's obvious they love their job.

I moved to the area over a year ago and I hadn't tried a meal from here till yesterday.. A local posted on a local FB page about the Reef and Beef how good it was.. That's one of my fav meals so had to try it and wow did not disappoint.. It was cooked to perfection 😋 and very tasty.. Definitely will go back and have it again also try other meals.. The staff were friendly with great service..

Nice place, had a great steak sandwich.

Unfortunately the staff seemed a bit confused about food & wine . The carpet was sticky & the stale smell of something flows through the pub even with all the windows open . I had the Calamari entee which was very enjoyable. Probably one of the better Pubs in Town . Get a table by the windows is best. Facilities are not too bad.

Walked in for lunch and only one other table occupied and they had their meals. We ordered lunch specials way before anyone else walked in. The people who came in after us had their meal including steak meals and we were had to ask where our meals were. They hadn't even started them. The meals were good except one meal we had to wait extra long for and still made it wrong. Reluctant to try this place again.

The Queen is my local watering hole. 5 star service from Margi always. Although I feel she could do with more staff to help out in the busy times of the day.

On a Tuesday a group of 12 walked in at 1:55pm to order food. The staff were very accomodating and the chef was amazing. The food came out very fast and ALL food was cooked to perfection. It was an awesome experience. That just doesn't happen in the city ?
