Very full and service can be a little wait. Must be a good sign of a friendly place. Good food and excellent live performing musicians. Wifey and I really like the steak dinners. Getting a table can be problematic at peak times.

Being the sober one out of the group, gettnng asked to leave.
Can even finish my dink without being harassed out of the venue. Not causing any disturbance.
Propper cause of abuse when where wasn't any around. Was a respectful night before power hungry bouncers came into account...

Went here for lunch one day to try something new and I sincerely hope they have more than 1 steak on the dinner menu to advertise themselves as having the best steak in rocky.. cuz thats all that was on the lunch menu.
Apart from that the service was okay pretty bland, burgers and chips we had I thought where actually pretty good.

I had one of the best steaks I have ever tasted, barely able to finish it. The burgers are as tasty as advertised and was served to me looking like the perfect advertisement prop. The pizza's are also a favourite of mine.

All the produce used in the kitchen is of top quality, as is the meat supplied to the Oxford.

Great value for money, huge serves, full of flavour and above all satisfying is how any of the food at the Oxford Hotel can be described.

Last night we tried again the Sirloin Steak and Spring rolls.
Honestly couldn't remember the last time I had such great flavoursim steak cooked just right, my favourite in Rockhampton.
Spring Rolls were also awesome, fresh and home made.
Found the staff always welcoming.

Steak was cooked perfect, coleslaw was great and loved the chips ??'?

Visiting from US, perfect steak dinner, asked for medium-rare, was done perfectly, wife has chicken schnitzel, done perfect, and very good value. Exceeded our expectations. Very good and friendly service!

Great meals and quick service. The steak was amazing and the kids enjoyed the chicken burgers. Quality and fresh meals. The pub is small, you sit outside which suited us perfectly.

Went here for lunch today, was a bit surprised about the price, however when the meal was served you could not fault it. Steak was cooked to perfection, chips the best we have had anywhere in town and the coleslaw was fresh. The pepper sauce was full of flavour and had plenty of peppercorns. Well done the Oxford, we will be back.

The home made spring rolls were delicious. The pub is clean and the service was friendly. Interesting mix of people at lunchtime on a Friday, groups of retirees, some of the most derelict junkies Rockhampton has to offer and local barristers. Made for a pleasant people watching experience.

It's a great place to go! All staff is super friendly and the food was extraordinary delicious. We loved the steak, steak burger, chicken burger and the onion rings. Great music and super atmosphere.

Whilst the prices for food are absolutely fair, the prices for non-alcoholic drinks are totally overprices. 5 dollars for half a pint of sprite is insane.

$30 for a piece of "rockys best steak", which was mostly fat and smaller than a hand size plus overdone on the salt they used on it, and literally a handful of chips and a 1/3rd of a cup of coleslaw salad. Stingy serving for $30.

In amongst Rocky's night life the Oxford Hotel can be found on East street across the road from Zambreros

On my last night out with my fiance we stopped in here for a beer. On this night they had live music playing outside. Great atmosphere great music.

They served cold beer on tap. As well as a large range of premixed drinks and wines. Do both lunch and dinner meals. Also have pokies.

We enjoyed a good couple drink's here listening to live music sitting outside. Next time I'm in Rockhampton I might try a feed here.

Staff are always great, drinks good value and well poured, live music (Kalam) great and always meet interesting characters.

The best steak in Queensland! A place have to visit if you in Rocky! Steak always cooked perfectly!

My friend vouches that it's the best steak in QLD... and he was a Chef himself, so that's saying something!!! Otherwise, the place was good, staffs were friendly and food was served on time.

Simple menu and they deliver! Had the best value for money steak which was absolutely delicious!The onion rings were amazing too and foe $5....need I say more. The pizza is also incredible.
We are a family of four and ate their during the while visiting the Central Coast on 2 different night and each night we were blown away by the quality of the food. Deffinite eat here!

Disgusting glasses weren't cleaned properly, hair in my drink that wasn't mine. We left not even finished our beers, we were going to get food there but after that we were disgusted

Closed 45 mins before advised time :( And now the owner responds to my review by belittling me. I wonder how many stars they think they should get from someone who arrives to find them closed 45 minutes earlier then advised.

Great place to catch up with old friends. But it was packed.

The signage at the Oxford says best steaks in town . They weren't lying .
350 grm sirloin served with slaw tomato and lettuce and the best chips ever.
And they know how to cook a great steak. $25 great value.

Stopped by for a drink. Very pleasant pub with both inside and outside seating. Very friendly and efficient staff. Worth a visit.

Short changed and ripped Off.meals were Small. Asked for the famous $5 steaks and charged us for other more expensive one's - saying have none left only after he slyly charged us for the expensive one's with out consulting.Drinks are over priced. 1 can of Jim Beam and two soft drinks we're $29 .Won't be back

Perfect 350g sirlion and chips (more like 400g tbh not complaining though) all for $25. Absolute steal. Easily a $50-60 steak anywhere else. Great atmosphere, great service, just all-around perfect.

They promised great steaks and they delivered. The steaks were excellent. Great outdoor seating area. Friendly service. The location is near historical architecture buildings. The music was not live but very good. Great pub experience. Good lunch location.

Courtney behind the bar is a champion. I don't look like Josh...beer is cold, what more is there to like. Steve is a Euro #1 mega star.But really, atmosphere is everything. This place has got it.
